What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I’ve never stayed or RV’d here but I really enjoy the adjoining beach. There are sand wash-off fixtures and a boardwalk from the parking lot to the beach. The grassy lawn is nice for brushing any remaining sand off your feet or shoes before you get back in the car. The area is much better maintained than any other beach related facility in the area.

  2. Never ever been here!!! It was my first time && we loved it, they have a park for the kids and the beach right before so nice fun, no cars riding by the beach so you don’t have to worry about your kids playing around, parking only $5.00! Best place!!

  3. Loved this beach. We went on memorial day weekend. It was 5 bucks to get in and very much worth it. The beach was not crowded at all!!! It was very clean and the water was nice. Be aware you cannot pull your car up to unload your things so bring a wagon. There are showers you can use before getting into your vehicle and restrooms on the deck.

  4. The beach would be so nice if they just cleaned it.
They have a nice pier to fish on.
Other then that they do have a play ground. A shower to get cleaned off. And public restrooms. Which is really nice..

  5. Perfect! We went in the evening, and if you like places with not so many people, this is the place for you… Not too crowded, and sometimes you’re the only one there!

My wife and I recently visited the hotel early this month in June and really enjoyed it. What we liked most about it was that the location was right on the beach so there was easy access at all times. The first thing we noticed as we walked into the room was how clean it was and there was a large deck outside facing the ocean with comfortable chairs and benches to sit on and enjoy the view. The rooms had small patios with chairs and a view of the ocean as well. The beds were comfortable and there was a mini fridge with a coffee maker and a microwave. The water is not good to drink so the office will have bottled water available. The staff was very nice and respectful. They offered us more towels and toiletries if we needed them each day or they would do a full housekeeping service if we needed. The Seahorse restaurant was right next door and the food was excellent for lunch or dinner. This was our first time to visit but we will definitely be returning next time we want to quick trip to the beach.

It’s a really nice small hotel right on the beach, literally. All rooms had a side balcony. In each level they have a deck that is covered right by the beach. A small breakfast in the morning and water and fruit available all day. We had an extremely nice visit.

We loved the room balconies with the ocean view, the easy and quick beach access, and the restaurant balcony seating right on the beach, plus the food is very good and with big portions. Fyi You do have to take stairs to your room because there’s no ramp or elevator.

We stay here specifically for the location, and they allow pets. It’s just to cool off and sleep. The no frills rooms are good enough for that. The location is perfect if you’re wanting quick easy access to the beach.

If you’re looking for an amazing and safe family vacation spot, then look no further. The location is unbeatable with direct beach access and ocean views right from your balcony. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a restaurant on site and a few stores across the street with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back.

This is a fantastic spot if you want to spend some time on Surfside beach. We picked a spot close to the beach and were less than 50yards from our RV site to where we set up for the day. The restaurant is super convenient and the live music at nights was quality entertainment. Several other dining options are a stroll down the beach away. We can’t wait to come back.

No bathrooms/showers/washing machines/No wifi…. Not worth the price we paid… But it is nice to be able to walk right to the beach. There is a decent amount of space between sites compared to other RV parks I have stayed at. There is not much to do in surfside beach unless you drive an hour to Galveston.

I’ll start with the positive, it is near the beach, 50 feet to the shoreline from the walkway. The registration staff is amazing and she is SOOO nice.

BTW, they have a no refund policy. Please read website carefully.

Now for the rest of the story. The owner obviously cannot care less about the property since it went up for sale. The sites nearest the ocean are unpaved, uneven and poorly maintained. DO NOT trust the pictures on the website. They must have been taken in better times. Once you book, or if you read through the website meticulously, you will discover they have a septic issue. The electric box at my site was rusted and missing safety blanks. The water connection was so loose I had to secure it with my own bungee. Ruts in the site made it difficult at best to level my trailer. Mosquitos are bad too, even in January. The entire campground is run down and in need of extensive repairs. I cannot comment on the restaurant as we didn’t dine there.

PLEASE research carefully before booking this facility.

Great place that it’s right on the beach, next to a beach bar restaurant with live music on weekends.. but.. they don’t enforce any rules. I paid extra to have front spot but during the weekend they let cars park in the RV resort that go to the bar.. so you somewhat lose your beachfront view to a parking lot.
