2 months agoHad a fantastic experience with Laurie in the deli and Manny in the bakery. It’s a small gesture but offering a sample to get the right flavors and cuts is a notch above the rest. Their attention to detail shows they really care about their craft. We had a hell of a time with self-checkout and had to start over after nearly finishing which nearly soured our shopping experience but the super friendly gal with the interesting accent helped us through.in the last weekThis location’s night crew is doing fantastic. Stopped in around midnight the other night and the shelves looked immaculate! The pickles, condiments, and dairy section specifically were astounding. I’ve worked retail and I know how discouraging it is to do a good job making something look really nice and then the public doesn’t give it any thought. So I wanted to praise these employees. I know Kroger doesn’t pay very much, but these guys deserve more, for sure. This customer will marvel at your hard work3 weeks agoCompany needs to invest in better A/C for this location. I was burning up in there after a quick stop and many products had sweat/moisture showing on the packaging. Don’t see how the employees can put up with it. I asked the cashier if they had been working all day with no A/C and she said it’s just because the doors were opening and closing all the time. Other Kroger locations nearby that I shopped at recently did not have the same issue.2 weeks ago8/20/23 My review is for the prepared hot popcorn chicken I bought today. I know you can’t please everyone but this chicken was flavorless with zero seasoning and the crust/batter had no crunch, it was soggy. yuck! Maybe good for picky eaters that don’t like flavor or someone with strict dietary restrictions. The walmart hot and ready popcorn chicken is better by a long shot!3 months agoI’ve shopped here since 2016 and have always loved going there. Recently it has gone down hill. Kroger has always been my favorite. It recently bought out Albertsons and falsely advertises how fresh their produce is how they check for scarring. I went this evening and it was sad their produce is nasty and limited! They have gone up 67% since purchasing Albertsons. Our Sweet Hometown feeling Kroger gets the leftovers and are treated poorly they get the dregs if what ever is left from the bigger Kroger Stores! Kroger needs to step up and take care of their customers with better products! Kroger executives needs to consider the hardworking employees that know their customers and care so deeply for them. I am not giving the store staff one star I am giving them a million for what they do! I am giving Kroger executives-1 star for what they are doing to their customers! If it were not for your customers you would not be in business! If it were not for these hard working employees you would have no customers wake up Kroger executives!

a month agoI seem to encounter this problem every time I come here, it involves the deli department and the difficulties they have with taking simple requests. I come in here and I ask them to give me about a pound of certain types of lunch meat and cheese. I ask for it to be cut very thin but not shredded and what they choose to do is give me sandwich cuts which are too thick and the meat isn’t as enjoyable plus thequantity doesn’t last as long. Also they don’t seem to care much for addressing customers who are standing there waiting to be serviced, today I walked away from the counter because two ladies working their chose to have conversations among each other instead of asking me what I would like or how could they help me. As much as I do not care for the AI technology, maybe that’s the one thing that will get that right once they figure out how to make it work. People have become quite comfortable with their laziness and their lack of customer service. I would have included a picture of the employees but I’m pretty sure that’s against some sort of company policy or constitutional amendment.3 months agoVery very large had every thing we needed. Great produce California Giant Strawberries were $1.49 , but on their web site it says$3.99 a lb . I GUESS WE GOT A STEAL BECAUSE lol sorry at our local Kroger on Beach they were 2 for 5.00 on the 17th and 1.49 at the super Kroger on the 18th of May so you know we bought one more package.3 months agoThis is our go-to place for most of our groceries. The produce quality is better than most and usually costs less. The meat selection is generally OK. The place is pretty clean and laid out well. They are putting up more barriers to reduce shoplifting but I think that’s just the industry now. And last the staff is good.3 months agoI used to love shopping here, but as a mom it is incredibly difficult to find a good shopping cart that I can buckle my kids into. Plus, there are only a few strollers for kids, and they are all broken. The green car is very loud because a wheel is broken, and the cars that are at the top of the cart don’t have seatbelts. If you have to take your small kids, I wouldn’t shop here.a month agoI had Diane check us out and she was the most friendly and helpful Kroger employee I’ve ever met. I wish all grocery store employees were as great as her

Most horrible deli experience ever. This was a sandwich made in house, not the Boarhead brand. Sandwich was full of sand from unwashed lettuce by a lazy or untrained employee who doesn’t care about the company he/she works for or their clientele. Even after pulling out the lettuce I saw the sand was embedded into the cheese it was next to. I had to throw the whole thing away and I don’t have time to go back and haggle over a $4.00 refund. Sad that they serve this kind of substandard trash to Hurst’s citizens.
Again… the store was way under staffed and the manager took about 10 minutes to come out and help. The self checkout line had about 20 people. This was Sunday late afternoon on 2/5/23
Do NOT go after 8pm. They have no cashier lines open and only 1 assist in the self checkout. I had so many groceries it kept erroring because I had to make room to bag more so I had to continually wait for the worker bee to come clear the error. The shelf coupon in the app wouldn’t scan and of course I have paper coupons that I have to again wait for help to finish checking out 😡😡
There are some issues at this store, but overall I find them to be very helpful and the prices are great (if they ring up correctly). I’ve purchased the wrong flavor of things before and brought them back… They let me just swap them out. I’ve also had several things ring up wrong, so now I take a pic of the price before putting in my basket. When there’s an incorrect ring up I just pay, walk 10ft to customer service, show them the label price, and they give me cash back. Occasionally they’re out of essential produce, but so is every other store. I like this Kroger. It’s my shopping spot. The sushi bar is really fresh and delicious, too. The guy that works the sushi station even makes special requests for me.
Very clean and organized. I also enjoyed there large selection of fresh sushi. The health section was packed with some great protein bars. I was also impressed by there large selection of fresh fruit and veggies both fresh and organic. Friendly staff and cashiers. I’m looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Kroger
