2 months agoPlease do something about the people parking the fire lanes. It blocks everything coming and going down certain aisles, and people don’t care. I’ve complained beforea month agoToday, I had an excellent Guest Care experience with Guest Care Associate April who followed Kroger’s Return Policy specifically as it stated and did NOT create their OWN store rules like the majority of Kroger Stores Management do that I’ve recently learned are NOT honoring and are doing their OWN thing which makes a simple and clearly stated policy confusing for many customers. April did such an excellent job that I sent an email to CEO Rodney McMullen giving her and the Store Manager, Matt Kudos and hopefully they will keep them on the team as a face for the Kroger Family brand and/or promote them both as they followed Kroger’s policies and procedures and take heed to Federal Trade Commission and Georgia’s Attorney General’s Office and Consumer Protection Division laws that will keep Kroger out of any big financially impacting civil suits, liabilities, investigations, and potential prosecution. If Kroger’s current return policy is NOT working for majority of the stores, then why NOT just change the policy as they see fit for ALL stores and let the public know what they can and/or cannot do as far as returns and refunds go. Over 160+ stores with each store doing their OWN thing is NOT going to work for customers and the community. Unsafe work environments, lack luster management who will do very little to protect employees, and respond only with retaliationary firings for reporting work place harassment and requesting transfers is all to prevalent. They abuse Georgian Labor Laws all to well to continue these unethical practices.

a week agoWe’ve been coming here for 19 years and I am sad to say we will not be shopping here anymore. The staffing has become an issue to the point that lines are reaching across the building due to lack of registers open. No Kroger should ever have a line this long. Such a bummer. I hope management improves so we can consider returning but for the time being we will be taking our business elsewhere.a week agoI was told the registers were open if you came during the daytime so today I went before 3 pm. I stood in line just to be told that he had to clock out that his shift was over I asked if anyone else was coming he said you will have to use the self checkouts. I almost just walked out and left the cart. But I walked over trying to find the shortest of the extremely long self checkout lines. I stood there waiting again then I look over and another employee had opened that register and is checking people out so again I had to get behind the line of people with carts full of groceries so that I do not have to do self check out. I am not petty, but I have a very hurt arm and that was the whole reason for going to The daytime alone to go thru an open register. It is ridiculous at the money Kroger makes.and now saves not havomg employees to run registers. Customers have to do self check out. Not everyone is able to do all this work. I see a lot of elderly people in there a lot of disabled people, women with a little kids trying to watch and have to do their own checkout and not to mention some of us with arm killing is just trying to get her a few items. Kroger just sucks!!! . There’s no concern for the customers. I do not get paid to do self check out. I am not an employee of Kroger and I do not like being turned away after standing in line, and have to go stand in that same line again. Now I see why Publics is the better choice. Much cleaner, friendlier faces, and real people that run register for their customers. Also the bathrooms smell thru the doors . I’ve never been in them but I get the idea I never will die to how bad they smell just walking thru. And right near the Starbucks. Gross all the germs and smell floating over. Terrible set up.2 months agoI’m OK with the grocery store, but they have people at the store advertising a Kroger Mastercard. It sounds good, but heads up: the literature states that you get “up to 5% cash back”. And then later in the same literature, it states “1% cash back = 1 Reward Point” (on the credit card, then you can use the reward points to pay your bill, get a Kroger gift card, etc). Sounds good, until you look further: even later in the literature, it outlines “1000 Reward Points = $10”. So, for those of you that don’t do math well, that means in order to get $10 cash back, you have to spend TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. Yep, $20,000.10 months agoGreat prices but you have to be careful. Often price tags are deceiving. You can be charged different prices at register. I always check my receipts and often catch Kroger’s “mistakes”. They used to give you an item for free if you caught them switch price on you but not any more. Today they told me that they would just “make the price right” which means that they can overcharge thousands of their customers without taking any responsibility or punishment and if you catch them – then there will be no consequences. They will just charge you the price that they had advertised in first place. BTW, Publix still honors their policy of giving you your items for free if they made a pricing mistake demonstrating that it was an honest mistake and not an attempt to fool you. Here are my receipts from today. You can see that Gala Organic apples had regular price tag at $3.49 but Kroger charged me $4.49, and cucumber showed sale price of 99c while I was charged $1.49. And no remorse. They just returned me $2.50 at the customer service and said that I should be happy.2 months agoAnother major issues with Kroger’s online order for pickup. First, I order 10 items of the same thing to get only 7. I checked the receipt and they charged me 10. Second, my original order was more than $35. However they told me two items were out of stock. They charged me $5 Fulfillment fee because it’s now less than $35I went to the service desk and it was so clear that she didn’t get any training on online ordering. After waiting 15 minutes and few trips talkies to the manager the issue was resolved.

Problem-Zero Customer Service. Stopped in this morning to get some flowers for International Women’s Day., and other. There were 2 employees in the flowers dept. Neither one greeted me, asked if they could assist, thanked me for choosing Krogers. Nada! Though I have seen a drastic decline in Customer Service in most stores since the pandemic, it’s still hard to accept especially in this case 12 roses cost 💲 69 dollars. I finally understood their complete lack of Customer Service once the store manager came through. He passed through the Dept twice. He greeted his employee but completely ignored me standing about 3 feet away from where he walked. Leadership or lack thereof is always reflected in the attitude of the staff. If management creates a culture that supports Customer Service, staff would follow suit. If management shrugs this, so will staff.
So I left and took my dollars to Publix. The price and selection was much better as many of the flowers at Kroger’s was wilted.
Consumers-use your spending power & stop accepting subpar treatment!
WORST experience by far. Unfortunately quite a few recently but this one far topped the list. Waited in line over 30 min (yes, over 30- timed it) simply to try to return a rotten item I had bought the day before. I would not have waited had I not kept thinking it surely wouldn’t be much longer, due to seeing so many staff members standing around doing nothing. The line was built up to the isles, carts were having to move around the line, etc, and after 15 minutes finally someone showed up to work the desk. It then took another 20 until a second staff member finally stepped in to help (this was due to 2 people behind me in line running around the store trying to get help b/c no one cared to SEE or help). It was ridiculous and absolutely disappointing. I was a very frequent and happy Kroger customer but this was so bad that I am questing ever going back. The lack of care or acknowledgement from many of the staff members was unacceptable for ANY place of work. However, cheers to the woman who stepped in at the end and got the program running and very sweet. She was the only one.
No muting self checkout allowed anymore. No idea why they force you to hear a voice telling you what your already doing. We dont need instructions. Nobody ever has needed them. I go to Walmart because theirs keeps quiet. Its not hard to realize how annoying it is barking at you non stop it just doesn’t make sense. Why turn the ability to mute it off its not like your serving ads. It literally costs less money to keep the feature and let the customers choose whether to be annoyed or not.
Stores is the worst! Never stacked. I drive to the one on state Bridge. Bakery department staff is super nice though and go out of their way to help you and get you the items.
New self check out with conveyer belts have horrible engineering. You have to wait for each item to clear the belt about 1/2 way so it can check size weight of product. 1- this creates extended time to fully check out. 2- seems like honest, paying customers are paying the price for theft with extended time to check out. 3- no discount for self check out and bagging own groceries. 4- belt stops if groceries pile to far up the conveyer belt. Again, bad engineering which is creating bad customer experience. I grew up in Ohio and have been a long time customer, 40+ years. Thinking about moving all grocery shopping to Publix. Sure, I will pay a bit more but its hassle free with excellent customer service.
