a month agoKroger never disappoints me. I can fill my prescription, and buy beautiful fresh flowers at reasonable prices. This Kroger normally always has what I am looking for and prices are in line with area grocery stores. I buy on Fridays when I get 4 times the rewards then other days for gas rewards. Employees are helpful and customer service is very kind if you need anything from them. Highly recommend this store! 8/5/23 Still enjoy the store and online pickupa year agoCame here a few times during the week of August 7th and had a very pleasant experience during those visits. Great selection of food, snacks, alcoholic beverages as well as other products you would find in most grocery stores. Everything was very nice, clean and organized Would definitely come back here again in the future.a week agoThis is the first time I shopped at this store. We don’t have this store in PA. Excellent bargains, discounts, coupons. It has everything you possibly need. Nice clean and orderly.a week agoBeen waiting in line here for 40 minutes. Still waiting in line. Considering walking out. Cart full of stuff. And a bunch of employees looking at the long line and doing nothing. Only one employee is actually on check out. The self check out here is much smaller than Walmart so you can’t actually efficiently check out a lot of stuff by yourself. I’m just gonna start going to Walmart. They need to either fix their self checkout isles, or Kroger can legitimately hire more people to be cashiers. This is not worth my time.3 months agoKroger has a Dog Bakery!!! They picked up a local family owned Dog bakery that makes some of the best, healthiest treats ever. Been getting for my dog for years and THANK GOD they’re in Kroger now, they even put names on birthday cakes on the spot, and they assort cupcakes for you if you know your dog can’t have a certain something. No other grocery store chain has a dedicated full service bakery for man’s best friend. If anything, they deserve a better spot in the store!! PLEASE Kroger don’t ever get rid of these guys! And Kudos to the GENIUSES that got them in!

a month agoKroger in Scott’s Addition has a fabulous selection of everything you can think of food wise. I really like their sushi counter and bakery. The place is neat and well-stocked, and I don’t wait long in line if at all. I love earning points with their reward system to buy discounted gas with, at the station right there in the parking lot. One brand I’d like to see added is Brown Cow yogurt. If they had that, I’d go there every week!2 months agoParking lot is a car dump. These cars have been sitting in the lot for almost a year. Not cool on busy days.7 months agoWorst Kroger in the country, I shop here all of the time because it’s the only grocery store nearby, but the shelves are always sparsely stocked and not a single employee takes responsibility for the store they are paid to work at and you are expected to check the UPC of every item you pickup for from shelves they stock even if it he tag matches the item because they will accuse you of switching the tags and refuse to match their own pricing. Karl the manager should be fired because he does not take responsibility for the store you pay him to manage. In this picture is the price as marked on the shelf where two bags of food were, I took one to the register and it rang up 25.49 which was not even a price anywhere on the shelf, two associates told me even though the tag description matches the product, they refused to match the price because the upc didn’t match. I know how terribly managed this Kroger is so I even double checked the tag to make sure the description matches the item. I have never shopped in a store where the customer is expected to check the validity of every price tag to the upc, and I certainly will never shop at Lombardy Kroger again as this is only the last time I get accused of lying by a business I support actively. If stores treat people this way they can’t expect to stay in business..the end.in the last weekThe management and employees are rude and unhelpful my 73 year old mother was almost attacked by a 15 year old employee here and her family she called up there because I reported her attitude to the manager instead of helping me she got smart then calls her mother and 4 people came to try and fight her for nothing not to mention they stole my mother’s purse and we contacted the police and we got banned from the store these employees need to be fired and security was standing right there when they stole the purse. We got banned after calling the police with no reason as to why we are banned2 months agoPossibly the worst Kroger in the world; definitely the worst I’ve ever been to. It’s unfortunately the closest grocery store to me so I end going in regularly when I don’t feel like driving across town to go to the good stores. The building is laid out terribly – it’s smaller than the average Kroger and whoever laid out the aisles clearly hates people. Multiple aisles have big support beams going right down the middle of the aisle. They could have planned that out to make them fall in between aisles but of course they didn’t. The aisles are also way narrower than normal so a single fat person on a motorized cart can block an entire aisle for everyone. The shelves are almost never completely stocked. If you go in with a list of 20 items, you have to assume at least two, up to as many as 4 will be out of stock. Sometimes these items will stay out of stock for weeks.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, they never have shopping baskets available at the door. They absolutely refuse to put used baskets back by the front door, so the best you can hope for is to find one by the registers, which you have to push against the flow of outgoing customers to reach. Often you won’t even find one there. At that point I normally decide they don’t want my business and leave. It’s really strange because every now and then I’ll go in and there will be tons of baskets, but after a week or so they drop down to about a dozen for the whole store. I suspect they remove them on purpose in hopes that you’ll take a cart and buy more stuff.
They also frequently run out a regular bags and instead only have the worst quality paper bags to offer. These bags have handles, but they are ornamental only – they will fall off as soon as you try and use them.
Avoid this place if you have any choice at all!

This is a large grocery store with many sections contained inside including a deli, hot food area, cheese counter, butcher, and bakery.
The store was clean and fairly well organized with a good selection.
The prices are a little higher than some places, but the prices are competitive, especially if you consider the selection and layout of the store. In my option, the store is worth a few cents more.
The negative is the wait time to check out. There are many self checkout options, but none of the self check are conducive to a large purchase.
This Kroger’s located near Battlefield in Chesapeake is one of their larger stores. I was surprised they were more expensive than Harris Teeter (also owned by Kroger’s). The produce looked good today but I’d was a bit pricey. I noticed the prepared salads were overpriced but the soups in the refrigerated section were comparable. The potato salad and slaw section was almost 😅 empty but today is the first warm day we’ve had in May 2022. This location is pretty well equipped. I prefer the location on Mount Pleasant and Centerville but I will certainly go to either when I’m in the area.
Your cashier Selena has the most nasty attitude I know when I did customer service I always try to have a positive uplifting attitude even though I had a rough day tossing my groceries in the bag like I was getting them for free. Probably won’t come back because I do not want Selena to handle my groceries the way she did ever again oh my yogurt have dents in them because she was just tossing them in the bag
I like this store a lot. Wherever I need any kind of cheese, this is where I go. The folks who work in the cheese section are always helpful. They we let you taste a simple if you want to know how it tastes. For me, I have more choices to work with besides all the process food. Hands down the best store to shop in.
I love stopping by this Kroger and have been coming by for many years! It is always well-stocked and full of many solid deals!
