The Walmart in the German town area. I mostly visited to return something which I bought from another location. The customer service was great. The staff was efficient and fast. This location was much better than other Walmart’s in the Memphis area. It was much cleaner and well stocked and organised. I visited the restroom too. The restroom was way much cleaner as compared to other Walmart restrooms.

Was waiting on the kiosk picture area to receive help to give my order paper to the staff so that it could’ve be done preparing the pictures however the two persons behind the electronics cashier told me “ I don’t know anything about printing pictures or how to help you pay those pictures” since I had printed instant photos their in that moment .. I saw many workers wondering on their phones seeing customers waiting for help in electronic area and no one even stop to help or call for assistance for customers to RECEIVE help I found this ridiculous and unnecessary . I asked for manager 3 times and it took a long while to get help . If it was them having to wait like I did I bet this would have gone otherwise different . By the way this happen around 5:00 pm

It’s Walmart.. most know what to expect here. They are friendly employees, their stock of short sleeve men’s shirts or dress shirts is almost non existent come November. They have trouble keeping some of their groceries stocked aswell. That being said it’s not a bad shopping experience overall

Terrible policies. Do not get walmart family mobile and do not let the contractors set your phone up. Bought a phone, went to set up and already had a lock on the phone. Tried to return and can’t get all my money back because the card was scanned to the phone I can’t use because it had a code on already. Also the employees don’t know anything and are rude and don’t help each other. Someone from management literally walked by us and employee without even acknowledging the employees plea for help. If I could give no stars I would. But I’m sure I won’t get a response and will be lost in all of the other complaints

This store is the most unorganized and ridiculous place you can shop in Memphis/Bartlett. 99% of the employees are rude and stand around and socialize with their buddies while having only self check outs open and usually only one of the two sides of the store’s self check outs are ever even open. You’ll spend 3 hours shopping and waiting in line without even having half a basket full of items. Enjoy broken baskets, not being able to find what you want or need because no one is stocking anything, and being directed by the same employee TWICE to go back and forth to the self check outs (only to realize that they closed down a majority of those too). The entire store looks like it hasn’t ever been cleaned. I’ve tried numerous times to give this location a chance, but never again. Lesson learned.

Distinguishing Between Walmart Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets

Walmart operates two main types of stores: Walmart Supercenters and Walmart Neighborhood Markets. The main differences between the two are their size, selection, and focus.

Walmart Supercenters are the larger of the two, with an average size of 178,000 square feet. They offer a wide range of products, including groceries, electronics, clothing, home goods, and more. Supercenters often have additional services such as pharmacies, auto care centers, and vision centers. They are designed to provide customers with a one-stop-shop experience, offering everything they need in one convenient location.

On the other hand, Walmart Neighborhood Markets are smaller, averaging around 42,000 square feet. They focus primarily on groceries, with a limited selection of household items, health and beauty products, and pet supplies. Neighborhood Markets are designed to provide customers with a more streamlined shopping experience, with a smaller footprint and a focus on convenience.

Another key difference between the two is their location. Supercenters are often located in suburban or rural areas, while Neighborhood Markets are typically found in urban areas or densely populated suburbs.

Overall, the main differences between Walmart Supercenters and Walmart Neighborhood Markets are their size, selection, and focus. Supercenters offer a wider range of products and services, while Neighborhood Markets are more focused on groceries and convenience. The location of the stores also differs, with Supercenters often located in suburban or rural areas, and Neighborhood Markets found in urban or densely populated suburban areas.

To start off if I could give this Walmart negative stars I would it SUCKED. The school supplies was a wreck with most shelves empty and tons of unopened boxes all over the place. It was so disorganized that there were bras and pork in the school supply section. It was extremely unstaffed and the staff that were there were extremely rude. The cashier was nice but she was 84 so it took her FOREVER. The employees got mad at me for testing out a bike in the store that I wanted to buy even though I was riding super slow in a quiet part of the store. Also the music was obnoxiously loud. The bikes had tons of rust on them and were over priced. To sum it up this Walmart is horrible. NEVER COME HEAR.

EXPIRED FOOD!!! + POOR DELIVERY SERVICES!!! The store Manager, Demario, dismissed my complaint over becoming ill after eating food that had an expiration date that was 3 MONTHS past the expiration date! He never apologized; only became defensive and made excuses!!! To my surprise, the entire inventory of these items were expired, approximately 40 or 50 as I grabbed the boxes from the shelves and handed to him so no other customer would get sick as I did! (Few days later, I saw the remainder box still on shelf that he never removed) He told me there was no issue and no law against selling food with an expired date, because whenever Walmart removes the expired food from shelves, it’s donated to food banks and homeless people eat the food. REALLY? Is this what Walmart’s shareholders want to hear? That this type of INCOMPETENCE is running Walmart stores these days? UNBELIEVABLE!!! Also, I have been waiting almost 2 days for some fruit and bottled water to be delivered to me, and I only lived less than a mile from this store. They canceled my delivery and today after several calls no one bothers to ever answer the phones at the 577 Germantown Pkwy store. I miss Target and I see now why Target left this area years ago and move miles up the street away from next door to Walmart.

Worst wallmart i have ever been to in my life. Employes are rude and disrespectful. Store is a mess all the time… makes me wonder if they ever clean it. And if you need something you will have to dig it off a pallet. The never have what you need. They never put their stock up. It’s ridiculous!!! Wish i could give it negative stars.

International Delight in a cooler marked 2.98. Great deal until at checkout it rang up for 4.98. Nope i was prepared and had taken a picture. Had this happen before. Cashier said it hapens all the time…company does not update price at register to reflect price on the floor. And dont get me started on LOTS of items on shelves with no pricing at all. Buyer beware.

Being 4th of July only 2 regular registers open and two self check out open and a lot of employees walking around on the phone and half just putting stuff back on self from a cart . Do y’all not tell them to jump on a register until theses lines get low. Employee are rude when you ask them for help sorry your having a bad day but find another job. Who is in charge? Because theses bad costumer services are the worst I seen at this location.
