  The staff are good and polite, but the manager is a bit of a goof. He stormed into the washroom demanding ID. Was I supposed to register at the desk first? Does everyone have to do that, or just guys like me with long hair and a leather jacket? I was polite, as I often am in these situations. When I went to discuss something else and he was nothing but rude and argumentative. I was entitled to a refund and every time I seemed to be “talking back”, as he put it, he threatened not to give it to me. Later, both the junior staff approached me alone and apologized, telling me I was in the right. Don’t have any trouble at this station.

  A big clean friendly safe feeling environment. Helpful staff. And LOCKERS ! Perfect for waiting for the bus, take a few minutes to visit the Northgate mall food court located at the entrance closest to this beautiful station. If you’re lucky enough you may see a train pass by!

  Loved the boat cruise! I lived in North Bay for years but never went. I was visiting friends one day and decided to go and it didn’t disappoint! I loved all the narration the tour guide gave but would suggest that the speaker inside the boat be louder than outside the boat. I couldn’t hear what the captain was saying inside because it was super noisy so I had to go outside to hear better. A little disappointed and perturbed at that but not at the view and the history of the islands. It was a great boat ride nonetheless!

  Went on the dinner cruise. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Food was good and servings were filling. Wait staff was awesome. Very friendly and social. Cruise was fun, met lots of friendly people. Wine selection was better with a nice blend of red and white wines. Beers and liquors were the common bar choices. I’m a craft beer snob and like bitter IPA’s. Overall had a real good time drank too much wine. Would definitely recommend this for a night out.

  My wife and I booked the sunset dinner cruise last minute. We were really happy upon arrival as the crew members were very welcoming and organized.

  I ordered the stuffed chicken and my wife order the pasta. The pasta was good and the stuffed chicken had good flavour, but unfortunately was slightly overcooked. The third choice, was pickerel, which I wish I ordered. If the chicken was less dry, I would have rated the cruise 5 stars. The salad was good and the dessert was excellent.

  All in all, the service was excellent as our waitress was always attentive when we needed her. The sunset was amazing and the cruise was exactly what we wanted, for our anniversary. I would recommend the Chief Commanda II to anyone wanting a nice night out with decent food.

  We had a fantastic time! We were seated on the second level. We opted for the fish and the chicken. Both were good entrees. Chicken is stuffed and more filling. The food was good, we didn’t go hungry. Keeping with the other reviews – our potatoes were cold too, unless you eat them first. With the wind blowing through the ship, it’s inevitable the food will cool off quicker. Tarter sauce a bit too tart for me, and coleslaw not tart enough. Some tables had bottles of water, we didn’t get one, maybe we should have asked? There was a very generous slice of chocolate cake at the end that was delicious, yet rich, neither of us couldn’t finish it. The staff were really friendly. It was fun to chat with other passengers. The views and the sunset were awesome. Washrooms are clean and easily access on the second level. I recommend bringing binoculars. Happy we went! We would go again.

  We booked the dinner sunset cruise. To be honest , we were pleasantly surprised. Expected something similar to airline, pre packaged and re heated food , just enough to wet your appetite. I am happy to say…Dinner was excellent, hot and plentiful…. Desert was chocolate cake… moist and a nice way to end to the meal. Boat left and returned on time… friendly staff… all that you could ask for…. Bravo crew and thank you. NB
