  1. Manager was rude. Wouldn’t sell me any fish because I didn’t bring my tank water in to be tested. ( it has been cycling for weeks). They say it is their policy since it’s a live animal, they cannot sell them to me. Even though a couple of gentlemen standing in line in front me did not get asked any of the same questions & they proceeded to get their requested fish with no problems.

    If they’re so concerned about their live animals then why sell Betta fish in a cup on a shelf? they never ask about water conditions for them whenever I’ve purchased them? I understand it’s their policy, but they should enforce with all customers.

  2. Absolutely abysmal customer service. My Granddaughter, who is 14 purchased a 5 gal tank and two goldfish. The fish both died and when we went to get replacement fish and she was refused service. She was told that the tank and fish were incomparable. If so, they should not have accepted her $200 plus dollars for the original purchase. Now she is not only out of her HARD EARNED MONEY but she is also very heart broken.
    Totally unacceptable under any circumstances. Much worse when you’re a kid.

  3. The ladies in grooming are just fantastic! Especially Grace and Heather. My German Shepherds were a bit timid about their grooming, but the girls took their time, worked with them, and did a wonderful job!

  4. The store itself is fine. Do not take your dogs to get groomed there. At least not by Marianne. I have two small dogs and booked a bath, brush, and furminator treatment for both, as well as a haircut for my long-haired dog. When I got there I was told that Marianne was not qualified to perform the haircut and they would only be able to do the baths. I was fine with that and said I would bring my long haired back another time for his haircut.

    Unfortunately, I will NEVER be taking my babies back there for grooming. When Marianne put the blue leashes on them, she proceeded to tug them so hard and drag both of my dogs across the floor. Both of them were visibly scared and in pain as their eyes bulged out and turned red bursting blood vessels. One of them actually growled at her during this (he is normally very very sweet). I actually got behind the counter and went on my knees to loosen the leashes and SHOW this woman how to handle small dogs. Anyone who is qualified to groom animals in any capacity should know that you don’t drag a dog by its neck across the floor, especially when the leashes they use tighten as they are pulled.

    I ended up crying and feeling like the worst mom ever for even letting them stay. I decided to stay for the entire appointment and watch at that point. The entire time she was just visibly disinterested and manhandled them for the length of the grooming.

    I was very very disappointed in her lack of training OR supervision, as there was only one other worker there at the time who was busy grooming a larger dog, and wasn’t in the room when the choking occurred.

    I never leave reviews like this but I want to prevent anyone else from having this experience. It was horrible.

  5. I took my Lola Joy in on the 6th of June, 2023, for a spa day.. Mishawaka location had her booked a week later which didn’t work for my work schedule… long story short, I took her to the South Bend location,i’m thinking they have the Same experience!!! WRONG!!! Susan Butchered my baby !! I didnt even recognize her!! I’ve sent pictures and complaints!!! I haven’t her from Any manager about what that Monster did to my Lola!!! I will never go back there ever!! She’s a MONSTER!!!! She took almost all of her hair off, saying she had a few matted areas,very little matts!! If you don’t know how to groom Susan just say so!! You didnteven shave her evenly!!! She came home distraught,peeing in the house and acting terrified!!! Something happened to her while she was in your care!!

    I went to the dog wash today (6/16/23) and not only did the blow drier not work, but they watched me struggle to get my big dog (100+lbs) up onto the wash bay for about 15 minutes and then proceeded to come in as soon as I got him all wet and tell me that it is a 20 minute limit. Like yes, I understand that. But you watched me struggle for atleast 15 minutes to get him up there. I won’t be back, Tractor Supply in Niles has a way better set up, more tools, and is cheaper. So that’s where I’ll be going from now on.

    Theodore had a bath and Brazilian blow out at the grooming salon. (We call it that so he knows he is fancy!) Harley was fantastic with him. He looked and felt great. I also think their prices are good! So check them out for your grooming needs! I was very pleased

    The staff at Pet Supplies Plus on Ironwood & 23 are friendly & knowledgeable. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help me find whatever I am looking for. My dog Maggies loves to visit Pet Supplies Plus for all the attention their staff shows her.

    Great selection of dog food, love the do-it-yourself dog wash. You can purchase a card for 5 washes. I have 2 big dogs and love to use the upper tub, definitely saves my back.

    The staff was very nice during the hole process of surrendering 2 dogs. It was hard enough giving up the dogs because they are brothers and we had them from birth till now.     The staff was nice and friendly, at first. I was interested in a cat it was nice and friendly and I decided to adopt it. Towards the end of paperwork the lady tell me the cat had a history of biting and said it was because it was a stray and downplayed it like it was no longer a issue. Told me I need to place the cat in a room to get accustomed to area which I did (it is bed room) Left cat alone for a hour then went into room sat on bed cat jumps onto my lap I start petting it and it bites and draws blood OK thought maybe it doesn’t like stomach petted. Come back into room a hour later cat once again jumps on lap start petting its head bites me again. Later I’m playing with cat it bites hand again. This cat is so nice rubs against you purrs very nice cat. Later I take a nap cat jumps up on bed rubs against my arm I’m just laying there not moving cat turns around and bites my arm for no reason. Get out of bed cat bites my leg. Took cat back only like 5 hours, They wouldn’t allow me to exchange the cat for another because they said I didn’t give the cat enough time to adjust. What I’m just supposed to let the cat keep attacking me for no reason. I only have one bedroom what I’m supposed to do lock it in a closet? So I asked for my money back they said no it was a donation, nowhere does it say donation it says adoption fee . Thinking about protesting them. It’s not about the money but deceptive practices

    Called because we were interested in adopting a dog. We have a pomeranian, but decided the next dog we get will be a rescue. But they told me dog adoption cost $200 and my spouse said “I thought they wanted to find good homes for these animals? At $200 they are wanting to keep them, not find homes.” So my spouse told me No, we will look around, $60-$100 is okay, but $200, is asking too much.”

    I filled out an application, they called me while I was at work because they had questions. So I called back and I was told the person would call me back tomorrow. Never got the call back. I went in a week later to check up on the application and they told me they’ll call me tomorrow. They never called me back. They make it impossible to adopt. So I don’t recommend this place.

    The application process seems lengthy, but once you complete that and set an appointment, all goes well. We were warmly greeted and respected for why we were there, and the type of dog we felt was good for the family. We were not rushed at any point of the appointment. Aside from retrieving the animal and its information, our family led the pace of the process. The dogs were introduced to us in a private room where we were allowed as much time and interaction before moving onto the next animal. We enjoyed the time spent looking for our next family pet. Great job.
