What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. The toilet need to be deep clean. Black mold, toilet seat were also not cleaned. And it seems that the room were not vacuum properly. Unable to get towel change. Iron board were in bad shape. I am having itchy reaction with the bed sheet. This hotel is on the higher price range, I was expecting it to be better. But not worth the value. The toilet light were so dimmed. Hope that the hotel management take action and improve on the cleanliness. Location wise is very near to the airport. You can easily find food in front of the hotel.

  2. Honest review. I never being so fussy whenever I stay at hotel but I cant help myself from reviewing this hotel.

First, when i about to check in, the reception told me there will be no towel until 6pm since all laundry been outsource. I insisted to get the towel because I got an event happening at 7pm. They provide me with towel when i said that!

Room with defect on the door. Window happen to have moss! Breakfast? Terrible
    Not worth your money!

  3. Used to be top choice whenever I came to A.Setar, but since they changed the management few years ago, Raia will not be my 1st choice anymore.

Clearly understaffed, available staffs were undertrained and bad Supervisor/Manager. .

Quad/Family room – only added extra beds, not the proper queen bed/matress, with same superior room size. Checked-in to the dirty room, dirty linens, dirty toilet, unprepared room.

Breakfast – not much variety, only 2 main dishes. Croissants was good. Cold coffees, cold half-boiled eggs.

  4. Hotel is in dire need of proper maintenance and improved standards of cleanliness. We had to change rooms three times.
Towels and sheets were not completely stain free. Glass shelves had food stains underneath. Bathroom wooden door had delaminating edges.

  5. Stayed here few times when traveling for work. Room is clean and tidy. Your room is either facing paddy field or main road. Breakfast options are ok but can be improved because we noticed certain menu is kind of fixed, especially if you stay for few days. Good hospitality by the staffs. Provides shuttle service to/from airport. Need to improve on room service. Few of us noticed the staff didn’t replace our towels daily.

Score below expectations for a 4 star hotel. Requested double bed but was not available. The safebox could not be used because the batteries were not replaced. A good selection of food for breakfast however was late for refill. Plate was not replaced on time. Maybe hotel is not in hospitality industry anymore..

My stay here was so unpleasant. The room got cigarettes odour. The operator offers fragrance spray to overcome this problem which is a big no for me because it will worsen my headache and sore throat. Swimming pool under maintenance, pity for my kids. The lighting in the room need to be upgraded. No face tissue, shower gel, shampoo or handwash provided. The inner part of the water heater provided was badly rusted. Luckily I got it change although I have to wait for more than 30 minutes. Slow drainage at the shower area. When I get bath, the water level was at my ankle. The blanket and bedsheet got stains too. Both the bath towel provided also not suitable for guest to use. I got itchiness from it. It should be change with the new one. It’s best if I can attach the photos of evidences. I’m still wondering how they got high rates here.

the room is relatively clean and spacious. location wise it’s about a 15min drive into town and there is a Lotus hypermarket right opposite. however a few things to note is that the toilet does have some stains, hot water from the shower takes forever to heat up as well. if you do not open the curtains, the lighting in the room is pretty far even with all the lights turned on. lastly the hairdryer in the room is broken and had to call the receptionist 4 times over 1.5 hours for housekeeping to send over a replacement hair dryer.

The hotel is ok but unfortunately they didn’t maintain. So dusty, the room so gloomy, dark, the towels are grey and has a weird smell. The toilet is so so. OMG will never go there again. No wonder my relatives refuse to stay there whenever they’re in alor setar 🤧

Not friendly, address on invoice wrong many times despite given my business card. Name spelled wrongly again and again. . Room need renovation. Bathroom not clean . I asked for King bed they gave 2 single bed join together. If they don’t have, they should have informed me earlier not after settle the room charges. Overall its a disappointment.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a 2D1N weekend stay and I’d like to share my review: Location: 4 out of 5 – The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance of Aman Central. Room: 3 out of 5 – The room was spacious, with a large bathroom featuring a bathtub. However, there were some areas for improvement, such as the shower room’s drainage and a more thorough cleaning of the bathroom. Upon entering the room, we encountered a leak in the sink, but the maintenance team was prompt in resolving the issue. Lobby: 3 out of 5 – While the lobby appeared a bit dated, it was large and comfortable. Staff: 5 out of 5 – The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service, from check-in to housekeeping, maintenance, and check-out. Kudos and keep up the good work.

Just checked out from this hotel. The room was dusty, floor skirting and desk full of dust Shower place dirty with black mould. Carpet very sticky and filled with lots of stains. Room smelled really weird and old had to start perfume to cover smell. Towels had multiple stains. Wifi not working. Corridors smells smoky. Suggestion to management, you must open the floors and sell the rooms that u can clean properly.

Just wondering why opposite review. One says breakfast expensive while another says good food. One says reasonable price another says expensive. I checked in and firstW thing there was welcome drink. I requested for a tour of their rooms and the Manager took me on a tour. 2 pillows for one person – that’s ample. The small pillows are for decor so no need to complain its smelly as you are not supposed to use it as bantal dakap then sure jadi bantal busuk 🤣. The water pressure is superb. The central water heating system takes a few minutes to get the hot water up and as long as able to handle it then it’s marvelous. Breakfast variety befitting of a 4 star rating and if in KL the price would be RM50 +/- . What do they charge if include in room rate – RM20 lah per person so stop whining. The staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed for a week and will definitely be going back again. For info – I just checked out today. Be friendly and treat people with respect. No need to put tissue paper on the carpet to test whether they clean or not. That only means that you want to find fault. Instead enjoy your stay by being positive and spreading positivity. Covid might not have damaged you so don’t do Covid’s job.

The experience of staying in this hotel is bad that I had to cancel it. The room is having the upgrade on the lock as per reception but the door latch is not working and malfunction. The life is not having security function that any one can go up to any floor. Spoke to front desk to request room changing for a proper room with working door latch. After more than 30 min was Informed that the hotel remove the door latch after they upgrade to double lock. The front desk Chinese lady was so u friendly that I decided to cancel and stay in another hotel last minute. Managed to go into the room that is quite spacious but the strong smell of room refresher is really choking. The location is good and the service level is poor from my encounter.

Location and price wise was good. In terms of cleanliness, we found out that there is a RAT inside our room. Our sleep was not comfortable as we can hear the rat kept on making noise behind the closet. Then, we found out that many people already facing same kind of issue before us. Also, the staff at the receptionist is not friendly at all.
