3 weeks agoMy family of eight stayed here for one night while we were in town for an event. Because of our large family we needed two adjoining rooms (one king suite, one double queen). The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly. The fact that parking was free was a nice bonus, as well as the complimentary breakfast, which was pretty good. My kids especially enjoyed the fresh Belgium waffles. If we are in the area again I would definitely stay here!in the last weekEasy to get to off the hwy. Very quiet in the room, no road noise at all even though it’s right next to the hwy and a pretty busy road. The heated pool was nice. Overall I enjoyed our stay there. Will stay again in the future.3 weeks agoLoved this hotel! Sweet little spot that felt like home. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Our room was thoroughly cleaned daily (if we wanted) along with fresh towels. The atmosphere was nice and calming, too. I would stay here again.a week agoThe hotel was old and well taken care of, quite beautiful. The rooms were large, with comfortable beds. The front desk was very pleasant. Breakfast was great. We didn’t try the pool or the fitness room.a month agoFacility was very clean, a little outdated but satisfactory. They have attempted to renovate some of the floorings. The tub in our room was cracked on the bottom- we were worried about using it during our 8 day stay. Otherwise, no other issues. The staff was very courteous, helpful and professional. Breakfast was great, you do have to show your voucher but that is completely understandable to prevent outsiders. The portions were not limited as others may have complained about. We felt like we had a good meal every morning. Loved the waffles and coffee. The chef and the kitchen helpers were very sweet.Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

6 months agoGreat place to hangout with some coffee and snacks at any time of the day. Consists of free library inside, take a book and leave a book kinda deal. Delicious coffee and other beverage options. Beautifully designed areas inside and out. Lots of comfortable places to just do your work and study if you wish to. Definitely recommend this place to all. Friendly staff for sure.6 months agoA jewel along busy San Gabriel Ave is Mantra Coffee in Azusa. It looks like a little house with a beautiful front patio adorned with succulent plants. The fountain drowns out the traffic, whizzing by. Get yourself a delicious coffee or hot chocolate and something to eat. It’s so peaceful here, inside and out. I love coming here to work and bringing my reader daughter so she gets a cool alternative to the being in her room. The vibe includes students doing homework and friends meeting up for a good conversation. You’ll be relaxed once you leave here. I do! 😊3 weeks agoA very comfortable and bright cafe with friendly service and peaceful outdoor seating, perfect for a spot to relax with friends, or study or read alone.Stylishly individual in both presentation and menu, their beverages vary from the comfortably familiar to the outright experimental. Their mule with espresso tonic was a refreshingly zingy summertime delight to me, but may not be everyone’s cuppa. They can do iced drinks, but not blended. The guava and cheese croissant was very good as well.
If I lived more locally, I’d definitely frequent. Also, this is a proudly queer-friendly spot. Check it out when you can.

Arguably one of the best ham and cheese croissants I have ever had, great vibe both inside and in the outdoor patio, their coffee is super good, their chai is excellent and the staff is always on top of it.5 months agoI have found myself in Southern California (Azusa) for a short-term job and was thrilled to visit Mantra. As one who loves a good coffee/workspace, multiple people told me I would LOVE Mantra. My friends know me well, as it lived up to the hype. The vibe was welcoming and well-tended, the space was bright and inviting, and the coffee was delish.I love the blatant LGBTQIA+ welcome, the pop-up books shelf, and the local feel. The staff was friendly and didn’t blink an eye when this old dude with a clerical collar came strolling in. In this day and age of religious conservatism, I would not have blamed them for being a wee bit guarded, so if they were, well done for not showing it!
As long as I am in the area, this will def be one of my stops.

I was in town due to an early-morning funeral and needed a place to stay the night before. Pacific Palms was very close to the funeral location, so it worked perfectly for my purposes. The room was lovely–very spacious and nicely furnished, but the real winner was the view over the golf course. It was really idyllic and so peaceful, I almost wished I had reason to stay another night. The peaceful feeling was especially welcome before the funeral, too. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely plan to stay at Pacific Palms.
If you love golfing this is the place for you. Was the only place with available rooms mother’s day weekend. I’m sure if we were into golfing it would have been great. Didn’t think the food was worth the price and you have to book the presidential suite about a month in advance but the rooms were decent. No microwaves which was a first for any hotel or motel we have stayed. Still the views at night were beautiful.
Great location and great rooms. Next time we will request inside the courtyard because outside rooms facing freeway was noisy all night. Doors did not insulate very well.
Visited to attend event in ballroom on this occasion. Spectacular dinners, I had salmon,wife had chicken. Got drinks at RED Bar down the hall to avoid ballroom bar line. Great music, great friends great fun.
While prices are reasonable, this hotel has definitely seen better days. The rooms are quite old and not the cleanest. Service is so so. Not that it’s rude, just feels understaffed. I would barely qualify this as a 3 star hotel. Pool and jacuzzi are down as of this comment.
A plus is that parking is free.
