What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Fully equipped Gymroom with deadlift barbells and plates (Olympic standard), dumbbell areas separated, friendly staffs to guide you, with strong beast music to pump your spirit, and of course the scale to record your daily weight in! Though at the moment they’re renovating the male toilet and changing room and that’s bit inconvenient.

  2. Not perfect but still the best in town and only one with lesmill classes, some of the enquitment in dire need of replacement, instructor are top notch.

  3. Glad to see a gym in Sabah getting close to international standards.

It is not perfect, lots of area for improvement but very happy to see progress in KK. The team have done well to keep the place together even after a difficult few years with covid.

Raven is one great class instructor that never fails to keep you going. Overall very happy with the short time we had with level up fitness.

  4. Although the gym itself located with packed parking space which is kinda hard to find one empty parking lot to park your car and lack of gym machinery equipment but overall the service was good especially the front counter staff are super friendly and their equipment is well maintained with clean facilities. Toilet is regularly clean up without any smell at all which I liked the most. 10x much better than the ones i went to at Blue7 branch which i had a very bad experience there.

The gym has quite a large variety of equipment including many machines & weights but even in the early morning, it’s really hot & humid. The gym has fans that you can switch on/off and has an air conditioner that comes on for about 2 minutes every 10-15 minutes but this is nowhere near enough to cool the place down. If you want to really sweat, it’s a great place to go but it was too hot for me to do a normal workout. They really need to improve the air conditioning here before I’d go back.

Price is reasonable but air conditioning not so good.

Equipment very run down. Staff not very clear on pricing. Bought 5x walk in but becareful, a lot of restrictions like staff will randomly go on breaks and you’ll be stranded. Air circulation very bad also.

Advertised staff hour is 7am onward, but waited until 730 with no staff in sight, unable to use membership. This is dissapointing and a waste of customer time Update: staff was not present up to 9am, I’m changing membership to citymall, this gym sucks

for RM 20, it is definitely ripping you off. air-conditioning was blowing out droplets of water and was dripping near the squat rack. if you love doing SBDs, you’ll probably only be able to do benches properly. squats and deadlifts are a challenge to do in the gym due to no proper platforms for deadlift and a wet platform for squats due to the air-conditioning dripping besides you. if you plan to only do cardio and use some machines, it is definitely ripping you off.

Gym Factory is an established local favourite for good reason. The gym is spacious with a decent equipment selection, be it in the weights or cardio section. Here’s home to a hip thrust machine that is rarely seen elsewhere. There’s also a trap bar to take your deadlift or loaded carries to the next level. Dumbbells range from 1kg for lighter work (in the glass-laden studio room), while veterans can push themselves up to the 50kg pair placed on the floor. Kudos to the management for having several sets of dumbbells for more commonly used weights, e.g. 20 kgs. Standard 20kg plates are abundant, however the real treasures are the 1.25kg microplates (yay for progressive overload on that bench press!). The dumbbell rack and bench area can get packed at times with all the 4 types of benches all taken at once. The cable machine is even more popular that you rarely see both its slots vacant. The power rack, Smith machine and deadlifting area would likely open up more easily. Consider yourself a gym bro? Then you can bench to your heart’s delight with the non-adjustable normal, incline and decline benches in its own dedicated section. The treadmill is usually the crowd favourite in the cardio section. The gym gets really busy after work hours. Weekday mornings and weekends might be the better option for those intimidated by the crowds. Otherwise you can always retreat to the less crowded studio room or freestyle area at the rear. You’ll see a good mix of beginners all the way to advanced lifters here. You may also see some callisthenic athletes here as well. General cleanliness of the gym is appreciable though not sparkly. Corners may be dusty but the ventilation is always noticeable. Despite the high temperatures and crowds, you don’t smell sweat left on the equipment or in toilets. The gym only relies on fans and not ACs. The staff are always pleasantly helpful. Broken equipment are replaced or repaired in reasonable time. The gym is also home to several coaches or personal trainers. Parking can be scarce at times. Overall, a membership at Gym Factory is recommended for most fitness and exercises goals, locals and visitors alike.

The arrangements of the equipment is just terrible, the dumbbell area could only fit 4 peole, dumbbells and chairs are just few of them. The area is actually quite spacious but the organizer didn’t know how to fully utilize those space especially the dumbbell area which is being used all the time. I’m never coming back here again.

Super nice gym. Well equipped and all you need if you’re traveling and want to stay fit. I loved the wide and open freestyle area. However the bath rooms are not that clean. I recommend to shower home. A day pass is 5 rm on weekends, weekdays are 10 rm. that’s a really good price. People are very friendly.

Cheap weekend prices RM5, weekdays RM10, has complete equipment.

Spacious and a lot of equipment, perfect for people who prefer their own personal space. -1 star due to toilet cleanliness and smell but hopefully there will be improvements!
