a year agoFriendly customer service. Easy stop. Decent selection though the store is kind of tight on space to allow such a variety.4 months agoOrdered a delivery. Never received the order. Used Krogers online chat help. Found out the order was delivered to the wrong address. They refused to have the person go back and deliver the order to the correct house. I asked to speak to a manager. Said they couldn’t help me with that. They said all they could do was give me a refund that would be back in my account in 7-10 business days. That’s it. So I called the store directly and spoke with a manager at Krogers. She very quickly said it wasn’t their responsibility and I needed to call Instacart. No apology nothing. Just rushed me off the phone. Called Instacart. They said sorry and they will make sure that person would not do any future orders of mine. That’s it. Both of these companies cared so little about my order. So now I have to wait 7-10 business days just to get my money back and find a new place to shop for groceries because I will never spend a dime there. Zero customer satisfaction.a month agoNice sales and prices sometimes there are not carts inside the store would not buy from the doughnut display it is usually filled with knat’s love the staff2 weeks agoThey start closing at 8.40. They close at 10. Worst grocery store in America. If customers inconvenience your business please don’t open at all.3 months agoDeli never checks their dates for their deli meat/salads or times for hot food. Have gotten sick from their food.

4 weeks agoStore is fine but there has got to be a better place for your employees to smoke their cigarettes. NOT right in front of the store where I walk with my family. I feel like the side of the store or even the back side would be a much better option.a week agoLove this krogers. Only complaint is that the feminine products are in the same aisle as the frozen meal. Very uncomfortable for a women of all ages. Especially someone who just got there period for the first time and is embarrassed about it. It should be with the rest of the womens products like body was and shampoo. Noone wants to buy food and look at a bunch of pads and tampons either. Lol just saying5 months agoSat and waited at the customer service area for about 10 minutes for someone to arrive. The guy working the register right in front kept looking over but didn’t say a word. When I finally asked if someone was working this area, he said it’s shut down today. Huge waste of time and huge amounts of apathy from the staff at this location. There were also other employees that walked by and didn’t say a word.2 months agoI used to love the South Ridge Kroger store but they have went down hill real fast. Less organic food now and fewer check out clerks which makes for long lines. The worst part is they went from a two bathroom store down to one bathroom that many many customers have to share! This is the best place in town to shop everything that you would need. All their products are easily accessible and they are neatly arranged. The store’s well maintained too. There’s a Starbucks inside the store. It was easy to find what I was looking for. They also have a lot of vegan options available. Self checkout process was quick and easy. They are open 24 hours which makes it even more convenient for customers to shop according to their needs.
Kroger has been our go to store since about 2008 and we shop there several times week. Up until five years ago we’ve never had any complaints. The store used to have a large selection and was great about keeping items in stock. However starting in 2018 the store has been in steady decline when it comes to stock. We can purchase pet items online but have been reluctant to do so because we’d rather spend our money locally. However due to lack of selection and lack of in-stock pet items we have decided to start shopping online. We are saddened that Kroger has decided to not stock pets items the way they used to in the past.
Today was a first for me at Kroger in Barboursville WV. I was looking for vegetable oil and was shocked there were no small bottles, only large. A Kroger employee (Connie) saw me and asked if she could help. That’s the first time I ever recall someone at Kroger asking me if they can help. I generally have to find someone to ask for help. I recommend an “at-a-girl” award for this lady. She even tracked me down with a bottle of vegetable oil that she said was the smallest in the store. I said thank you I appreciate your efforts but that is still too big. She appears to be a great employee by trying to sell me a bottle rather than let me leave the store to buy it elsewhere! Do not go to pharmacy for sublingual strips they only have Dr Reddys and there not worth the money you pay for them
For sure the nicest Kroger around here the one on first Street we call it the crackhead Kroger the one on 5th Avenue that’s a step up it’s a little better and then the one in Barboursville is called the Gucci Kroger. It’s for sure the nicest one around Huntington.
