The store is really nice but workers not so much. The last two times I went in, they were so rude at the deli for no reason at all. This last time the lady asked me if I needed help and then had an attitude when I said yes. Slapped my order on the glass and just walked away. I don’t wanna call Racism but that’s what it feels like. 🫤
Two bad experiences. First, I was finishing a phone call while in line. I went to enter my alternate number, and it wouldn’t allow me. I asked the cashier how I could enter my phone number for the discount. She said she didn’t think I had one and put it on her card. That has never happened to me before! I was shocked, to say the least. Today, I went to the florist to pick up some fresh flowers in a vase that had water in it. I asked the young girl if she could put the flowers in a holder so that the water wouldn’t spill in my car. She handed me a holder that needed to be adjusted. I had a very difficult time putting it together and then putting the flowers in it. I asked for some assistance. She took it from me and worked on it a little and then handed it to me. I tried handing her the flowers to put it in for me. She told me to try it again. I tried. The box collapsed, and some water split. I told her to forget it and that I wasn’t interested. She said ok. HEB would NEVER treat their customers like that.
In addition to standard groceries they also sell clothing, shoes, house shoes, lots of kitchenware, storage bins, and they have a recycling bin for grocery bags, zipper bags, plastic wrap, plastic cereal bags, and bubble wrap.
Their selection is pretty good in most departments, except for the supplement section; if you need health supplements, Walmart has you better covered. Also, their self checkout tends to bug out, so they’re almost always constantly backed up while the single employee working the self checkout runs from one to the next fixing issues with the scanners.
Great store! Excellent employees! You can find everything from groceries to clothing.
Robin observed me overheated as I came in the door. Immediately, she rushed over a glass of ice water from Starbucks. She genuinely cared for me as if I were her own child. I was fine, but this was a sweet and memorable experience. (I was meeting a client to deliver a painting, and Robin was extremely sweet to her as well)!
