2 weeks agoThis place is so beautiful and peaceful but also conveniently located 10 min away from most food and drinks. They have a large pool, kiddie pool and 2 hot tubs (one shaded, one open) plus bikes for rent and easy access to the River trail.2 months agoMy first visit was amazing and I just booked my second. I made a mistake on the online booking and called Meredith Lodging for help. The representative I spoke to, Joeli, was so helpful and amazing! Close to town activities too. Definitely stay here again.6 months agoWe paid Meredith Lodging, thousands of dollars in full, months in advance for a multi generational home stay in Depot Bay to celebrate grandma’s birthday. But 2 weeks before our stay, grandpa badly hurt his back and became unable to travel indefinitely. We were grieving for him instead of celebrating a birthday. They refused to give a refund even though we canceled almost a week before our reservation and they very likely could have filled the reservation (perhaps even did fill it?). We provided everything they required, including signed doctors note and repeatedly followed up with them over the course of 4 months. It was a drawn-out, frustrating and deceitful experience. We got their 1/2 promises in writing but in the end, they charged us in full thousands of dollars and would not even provide any kind of credit. The owner of Meredith Lodging rentals is a heartless, horrible person and we would never trust their company again. Please, run fast and far from properties that are managed by this evil empire.a year agoWe have came and stayed here for 22 years. The view – incredible. There have been some upgrades recently like around the pool, a new dishwasher, a new kitchen faucet, etc. Most of it is SO outdated. But the cleanliness is the worst part – there are crunchy parts in the carpet and it just needs to be replaced, dirty pans in the cupboard, all of the outside spaces need to be cleaned – around the windows, just hose off the deck areas and CLEAN AROUND THE WINDOWS and the railing on the deck. It would take just a few minutes and make all the difference. The positives to this place – again, the view. The pool space is great and the added shade sails and sectionals and new patio were a great add on. There’s a playground and shaded grass areas and some hiking trails.

3 weeks agoWe loved Bluebird rentals and had a wonderful and easy stay in the RiverGem. The communications from Bluebird were timely and clear making the whole stay positive. The location really could not have been better with easy access to parks, the river, places to eat and drink and the amphitheater. We loved the beach bike cruisers that were provided and used them to quickly get to town or tour the area with perfect access to all the bike friendly trails. Also a great location for an easy float of the river. We, and our dogs, we’re very comfortable for the week and would definitely recommend.a month agoWOW! Our group of 6 was amazed with how great the Haven was. So clean and well laid out, location was amazing, the market next door is super cool and has everything you might need. The bikes are a great touch and allowed us to explore the area with ease. We didn’t want to leave! The beds were so comfortable, showers stocked with high quality soaps and shampoo. Y’all thought of everything and we really enjoyed staying here. We are already talking about coming back next year and would only do so if the Haven was available for our stay. We’ve stayed in several different houses and they are always clean and in a great location. Booking is a breeze and Bluebird Day staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend booking directly through their website rather than through VRBO or Airbnb to save on fees.3 months agoStayed at Riverhawk which is in a near-silent neighborhood. The house has a hot tub and the property backs to a trail along a canal that is perfect for walking a dog. The house was very comfortable. We stayed for a month and will definitely rent there again. Bluebird Day Vacation Rentals’ staff was excellent to deal with and made checking in and out a breeze. Definitely a five star experience.a month agoThe Juniper Retreat was lovely, everything was so nice and plenty of space for big family dinners. We loved the deck out back and the fire pit!! I have always been extremely picky with Hotels. I love quiet, clean, and comfortable hotels. My partner and I spent two nights here and would stay again. The rooms were clean with no dust, no trash, and no smell. We wiped down everything with sanitary wipes and barely found anything. The pool is salt water so you don’t smell chlorine. The lobby was very clean and sleak with very friendly staff and a great selection of guides, snack food, and basic needs in case some were left behind. We brought a fan in to block out some noise but overall is was very quiet. The location is right next to Black Bear Diner, which was great for an easy bite. It is also minutes away from everything in Bend.
Nice hotel that was incredibly dog-friendly. The staff was very kind and check-in was easy. I liked having the beer and food options in the lobby. Worth noting that this building has exterior halls, meaning noise from outside can bleed in. It wasn’t too noisy during our stay, but I could see that being a problem for light sleepers or reactive dogs.
i was very torn on what star rating to give this place. everything about this place is great (which deserves a 5star), except for one big aspect (which deserves a 1star). i’ve settled on a 3star.
5star worthiness- the place is cool! the decor is cool, the pup-friendliness is cool. i love the fact that our room has TWO CAL KING BEDS- how unique is that?!! there’s a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in our room. also, i feel like this is another unique thing- there are TONS of outlets in the room for charging all of our things. theres lots of amenities that i would use if we were staying longer- fire pits, pool, fitness, laundry… you can tell a lot of thought went in to making this place very cool.
1star worthiness- the shower in our room was very gross. there’s mold and mildew in the corners, the floor and the shower enclosure. the shower also doesn’t drain properly so the shower pan filled with water and i didn’t feel like standing in a stew of clogged drain water and mold and mildew, so i skipped the shower. i feel like maybe this room’s bathroom hasn’t been remodeled yet or something.
i am a person who is very picky about clean showers. for some of you reading this, maybe it’s not a big deal to you. if that’s the case, you should consider this a 5star review.
This is an excellent hotel for anyone traveling with pets, people who want to be close to downtown but not pay the downtown prices and may be quickly traveling through town. We’ve stayed here twice now on our way to Southern Oregon. We’ve brought our dogs with us twice and each time the dogs were welcomed with treats and attentive care. There’s great fire pits outside as well as local beer on tap in the lobby. The rooms are clean and free of carpet, which is excellent. Only a short distance from the downtown core and right on the main road to leave town in the morning.
Excellent customer service and location. We enjoy staying here every couple of months. It’s close to one of the venues we come over for small concerts and it’s close to family. The pool is warm and perfect for all seasons. Staff are always very friendly.
