  1. Oh. My. Word. This place is pure heaven! Obviously an entire room dedicated to hot tub bliss is an instant yes. However, there was so much else to love. The fridge and pantry was stocked. The bed was huge and comfy. The check in and out was so effortless. They made a guest reference guide that included everything you might need. Seriously, I don’t want to tell the world how amazing this place is because I want it all for myself but to keep it secret would be cruel. Have a great time!

  2. This place was really great. Great location, affordable, pampered, and absolutely charming. We didn’t want to leave. Now we need to find a reason to come back to Dayton so we can stay again! P.S. I think the ghost’s name is HVAC, and it was also warm and welcoming. 😉

  3. What a beautiful place to stay in the heart of dayton. It is surrounded by plenty of places to eat and drink and just about a 5 minute walk from the Dayton convention center. The rooms are large and comfortable with plenty of amenities, and the private full bathroom is great and spacious. The common area is stocked with complimentary snacks, food, and drinks. Management is wonderful and friendly and very great in communications.

  4. What a wonderful two night three day experience that included the perfect stay at the Inn Port Lodging B&B! Located in the positively gorgeous historic Oregon District. This artfully restored home makes for a charming introduction into Dayton.

    I booked the entire top floor for a lifelong bestie and I to use as a relaxing visiting home base for our Donny Osmond concert excursion. We each had beautiful, comfortable bedrooms with bathrooms for each of us as well. The two units combined have a fully functioning little kitchen area to sit and dine, chat and store leftovers. There is also a well stocked common eating area downstairs that becomes private if you book the entire upstairs as well.

    My bedroom had a sitting area that we used as a living room to plan our whirlwind tour of the Packard Museum and Dayton Art Institute as suggested by our gracious host, Leslie. The heat index was in the 100 level so we opted for indoor sightseeing to stay cool and hydrated for our outdoor venue at Fraze Pavilion- Donny! We greatly appreciated the input from Leslie on the area, history and lovely air-conditioned attractions within minutes. She suggested a quick walking tour of the neighborhood of local historic homes in one direction and the shops in the other on our arrival. Leslie, was kind enough to meet us two hours early upon on arrival to get us checked in so we could drop our bags to see the area in the daylight.

    The bathrooms had every necessity needed- shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer etc. The kitchen also had an ironing board, iton, ice trays in the fridge, fans or space heaters in the bedrooms to meet individual needs. The downstairs kitchen had bagels, english muffins, fruit, cereals, yogurt, orange juice, milk, teas, coffee and table settings to make it feel homey. There were even water bottles to use for sightseeing adventures.

    Each overnight guest has an assigned parking spot since the neighborhood is centuries old the streets are small without extra space. The main doors are locked, plus the upstairs has extra doors with locks for both security and privacy. I will look for a reason to return to Dayton to just enjoy another wonderful stay here! The price is very reasonable for the custom service and amenities, plus the beautiful location. Thank you, Leslie for allowing us to enjoy your neighborhood.

  5. My dad and I stayed here for two nights, while we visited the National Museum of the United States Air Force. It’s an old building that oozes charm, and we had a ton of space to ourselves. It was great to be able to head down the common lounge area and put on some Nat King Cole vinyl to listen to while having morning coffee!

    Leslie was a great host, and made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. I’ll be coming back to the USAF museum – it’s enormous, and two days wasn’t enough to see it all, and I’ll certainly be checking to see if Inn Port has room for me when I come back.

    Clive is a gentleman and amazing host.

    Captivated by architecture and bold design, this house transports you into an era of invention by John H, Balsley. Seeing the renovation with updated retro appliances alongside the preserved character of the house was esthetically pleasing, maintaining a cozy feeling throughout. You will enjoy many luxurious experiences like a sauna, message chair, a swing in the hallway, Alkaline water on tap just to name a few.

    Unbelievable house- this place is amazing, literally!!! The owners were very nice and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed from beginning to end. The house was stocked with all types of treats, snacks, drinks; you name it they had it! The house was also super clean with the most comfortable beds. I slept like a baby! Also, everything has been remodeled and updated. There was a huge kitchen with a monster center island in the middle of the room for everyone to hang out. They also stocked the kitchen with all types of cookware, plates, glasses, silverware; anything you would ever need and more.

    I could go on forever. There were too many things to even name from multiple fire places, to an outdoor patio, to a sauna, a barbershop, massage chair and table, even an indoor hallway swing… just to name a few.

    I would highly recommend this house to anyone. It definitely is more than just a house; it’s an experience!!! If you want a one of a kind home stay here, you won’t find another place like this one. Do yourself a favor and just book it!

    Spent the night here with a friend for a girl’s getaway. We stayed in the top apartment. It was a cozy, quaint stay. It was extremely clean. It has real hardwood floors that are very squeaky. There were snacks available and the fixings for making pots of coffee. There were 2 bedrooms, but you have to walk through one bedroom to get to it. That was no big deal, except when trying to walk quietly to the bathroom on squeaky floors in the middle of the night.LOL. It has a wonderful sitting balcony. It was nice to be able to sit outside and visit, both in the evening and while drinking coffee in the morning. This house is close to downtown and easy access to walking to shops.
