  This picture don’t do any justice of how clean this cut was but Xavier definitely did not disappoint! He delivered some high quality service that left me walking out smiling and feeling good about this cut! Was my first time getting my haircut with him and not my last. Just PCSed back home from Colorado and after getting my haircut from my previous barber for 5 years I was very hesitant getting my hair cut from anyone else. Within seconds of sitting down in his chair all my worries and hesitation went away! I appreciate how welcoming he was and really took his time with my cut. He listened to me but also gave some great suggestions for my hair texture. He also introduced me to some really good product for my hair. So all in all I walked out with a high quality hair cut, bought some new product, and a new barber and barbershop to come back to! Highly recommend Xavier if you’re looking for a new barber!

  If you’re looking for a great haircut, check out this shop and make sure to book with Xavier! He is a chill dude and easy to talk to. Went in for the first time today and I’m glad I did.   All those great reviews don’t lie. 5 out of 5 stars. Vintage ia an old school barber shop with amazing service and great attention to detail. Xavier greeted me on arrival and proceeded to give me an awesome haircut and beard trim… all while talking story in the tradition of barber shops that are now uncommon but were once the cornerstones of their communities. Xavier’s expert advice on styling and maintenance of my new beard was also next level service and greatly appreciated. Based on the level of service, skill, and atmosphere, I give Xavier and Vintage my highest recommendation without hesitation or reservation…. unless of course looking fly as hell and getting mad attention will get you in trouble with the old lady… then perhaps a barber as great as Xavier is not for you.

  I was recommended this place by a close friend who is local. Cool barbershop tucked away in Chinatown. Xavier was very welcoming and friendly as we discussed how I wanted my haircut. I haven’t had a hair cut this good in months. Absolutely worth the time to get a cut by any of these guys!

  Xavier did a great job on a big day for me. I took the chance on getting a haircut on my wedding day. I told Xavier that I’m getting married in about 4 hours. I could tell this caught him by surprise, reasonably so, and I could tell he understood the significance to me and he took the extra time and reasonable caution with the haircut and shave. He did a great job. If I lived in Honolulu I would be a regular client of Xavier.

  I took my sons here first the first time and I they saw Lani. She was great and knew how to blend a mid fade perfectly! For the price you pay, I suggest tipping well. Trust me, you’ll see =)

  I only caught another workers name, Pat. She also knew how to cut hair well. The other ladies also did a great job but I while I was there, the gentlemans hair they were cutting weren’t as complex as Pat’s and Lani’s customers.

  Affordable price, but the signs on the wall say $18 for a haircut, which is all I got, but I was charged $20. Either way it’s still better than $29 at Supercuts. But this is one of the worst cuts I’ve had in a while. I guess you get what you pay for.

  Meow is very nice and gives good haircuts. It’s a good price ($18+tax/tip) and they take 30 minutes for a haircut which costs a lot more elsewhere. Includes a hair rinse and shoulder massage.

  Ask any group of men in Hawaii where they get their hair done and it’s either their family or A’s Barber shop. Best haircut ladies on the island! 8 years I’ve been going here and the cuts have never been fresher and the massages after have never been deeper.

  This a wonderful little barbershop. The barbers are super friendly and hospitable. They always know how you like your hair cut. When I get my haircut here it’s never rushed, they take their time to get your style right. They make you feel welcome, they talk to you and they remember your last conversation from your last visit. This place has two locations right next to each other. Make sure to ask which door your barber is located when you make an appointment.

  I was on vacation from out of town when I wanted to cut off my hair. My partner and I found this spot close to Waikiki and walked there. We loved it, Lisa was so much fun! She clearly loves her job and gives quick clean looking haircuts. I had 6-8 inches I wanted removed and she quickly did it while being mindful of the way my hair would change with less weight.

  First time in Honolulu or Hawaii for that matter but desperately needed a trim and my beard shaved. The owner came in super clutch today !!

  Practically straight from the Airport to this area of Waikiki you will find this gem in the heart of one of the residential areas here. There was practically almost no wait. There was only one person ahead of me and he was about to finish.

  She made me feel at ease right away and she has a great eye on what works with my hair type. Not to mention that she was super fast ! (Not that I was in a rush)

  For being on an island the prices were very comparable to what you find on the East coast.

  Don’t look anywhere else if you are looking for an awesome haircut or beard trim💈

  This is a delightful barber shop with the nicest lady who owns and runs it. Her name is Lisa and she’s Vietnamese. I watched her cut three other people’s hair before it was my turn and she is fast and very skilled. If you’re in the Waikiki area it’s a 5 minute from Kapiolani Park or the Honolulu Zoo. She charged me $12 but I gave her $20 because I got exactly the haircut I wanted. She even gave me a few natural tips on thicker more luxurious hair which is what we all want right? I highly recommend this local barber shop and salon.
