What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Located in the heart of the Galleria, this location truly enhances the Houston Landmark’s long-standing reputation of excellence! They always have a good selection of what I’m looking. Nothing beats actually touching and trying on what you’re buying before you make the purchase. I usually go straight to the clearance racks to find what I need. The sales staffers that attended to us were courteous, supportive, and helpful. Macy’s continues to offer superb customer’s service to its customers. They have a department on the lower floor known as ‘Last Act” where prices are marked down to a reasonable cost. They also have a large collection of fragrances that are available to try. If looking for perfumes or colognes there are many bundles making it perhaps the best option in all of the galleria! The store itself is kept very tidy and in order! There’s never a dull moment walking into this location!

  2. Here You will enjoy shopping.
Well spread on three floors. All new fashionable dresses, handbags, perfumes, dress accessories are well displayed, brand wise, gender wise.
    Discounted sales too

  3. The workers need to be nicer to everyone. Lady at the cologne counter didn’t seem interested in helping me, and then the asian lady at the shiseido counter saw us when she was at her register then sat down and started scrolling on her phone. I will say though, Danny who attended us downstairs in the men’s section by the red garage was extremely courteous and communicative. 10/10 for him.

  4. The lady who is working in the watches right now refused to move a watch link on the watch I just bought from them. I told her it was uneven and I would like the clasp to be in the center. If you count the links, one side has 4 and one side has 6. She argued me every step of the way about how what I wanted didn’t matter because it was going to be uneven either way. I’m not sure how when if we moved one over it would be 5 and 5? Then she had the audacity to tell me, “You shouldn’t even be looking at the back of your watch, you look at a watch to tell time.” Like literally word for word said that. To make matters worse she told me she would add a link because it looked too tight, which it isn’t, but still would not move one for me. It honestly takes a lot for me to leave a bad review, but I have not had such bad customer service in awhile. Definitely will not be going back to this Macy’s.

  5. As always Macy’s provides a great experience. The escalators worked which is always iffy but they worked so happy about that. The sales were strong this weekend with huge discounts. Found my favorite departments easily and everything was in order and arranged properly. Highly respect this store and this location is one of the best.

The guy at the service desk was so nice to me… I could not believe it. Usually when I go into this bougie mall with my work clothes on I get all of the ugly and dirty looks but this guy actually helped me at the service desk with no issues he didn’t give me any looks or said any smart comments he was so sweet I truly appreciate his genuine kindness. I am going to say the packaging of my item was definitely severely damaged but good thing that the perfume still stayed intact you guys should look into that

Most Anything at Northpark is Great and Macy’s is no exception.

I am happy that Macy’s, a storied retailer, is hanging-in. Macy’s does this by having an inventory with price points that remain appealing to bargain hunters and brand loyalists alike. The budget limited thrifty shopper to the no limit, “I deserve this” shopper can walk out of Macy’s with “a good deal.”

Take your time to look at those sales racks! I found shorts that were originally $60 and on sale for $25 and a shirt that was listed at $80 and now at $35.

You can go to a specialty store and get exactly whet you want, immediately and at a premium price; or you can be pleasantly surprised, spend more time but less money at Macy’s to find the same or similar.

If I have the time, I am picking Macy’s to see what’s on the rack and on sale.

Nice store with great selection. I like their sales and particularly the makeup, skin care and perfume sections. The dressing rooms are okay and I like their selection of fancy dresses for ballgowns and the like. They keep the store pretty well kept and the ladies at the counters are very professional and really courteous. Would come back again.

This store used to be amazing. It had great options, friendly customer service, and everything was organized. Now, it has clearly gone downhill. Nearly every rack is a mess, the fitting rooms are cluttered with items, making it difficult to set your clothes or personal items anywhere, there’s hardly anyone available to help you, let alone greet you, and there’s usually only one checkout line available in the entire first floor (this was true for Christmas as well, which is the worst possible time to only have one checkout line). I remember when the people working in each department greeted you the second you were in their section and made sure to help you with whatever you needed as best they could. It was nearly impossible to walk through the beauty section without someone attempting to give you a sample, tell you about a product, or even just say “hello.” I am a frequent shopper at the Macy’s at Northpark and for the last couple of years, the few times anyone working has acknowledged me was when I approached them directly. I understand that with the pandemic, they are likely short-staffed, however, it’s difficult to accept that as a reason for the lack of “Macy’s” friendliness when you see the employees having conversations with each other, standing there without saying anything, or (although rare) on their phone. I love Macy’s and I visit Northpark often, but I don’t frequent this location as much as I used to, simply because the environment is disorganized and unwelcoming.

I was shopping for a suit for the first time in my life and I had no idea what size, what style, brand etc. I was walking around the section for a while and “Lie” came up and asked me if I needed help. She took time to measure me and tell me my shirt size and helped me find a vest. She made the process so much easier.

The Macy’s at North Star Mall is probably my favorite Macy’s in town. I feel like their men’s department is larger than most other locations and hence more selections. They also have a decently sized home goods department. The staff here are usually pretty attentive and helpful when you need them to be. The three cons I’ll note are: the escalators tend to be out of order somewhat often, their clearance items (at least in men’s clothing) are very minimal and their Backstage section is always a big mess which just makes the store look sloppy.

The cashiers could be a little bit nicer. I understand they need to let you know about the Macys card when you’re ready to pay. They continue talking about the card while they’re ringing up your items that you’re trying to let them know about your rewards. You mention it at the end and they lecture you how you should’ve let them know in the beginning.

I think the employees should ask if you have the rewards before ringing up your items and NOT give you attitude at the end! Once you let them know that you’re NOT interested getting the Macys card, they should drop it and not continue harassing you.

This can become an addiction. Today played it safe and did some window shopping. But already have a list. Love the employees here as they are all friendly and professional.
