a month agoLocals’ favorite, this historic place has been around since 1929. Authentic and unique, serving comfort food around the clock, the 5 Point Cafe was popular and full even on a weeknight. Signature dishes, filling portions, and breakfast even at midnight. Nice setting with tables outside and in front of a little square. Seeing the restroom by itself is a signature experience. Everything I saw on the menu was fried food, oily, and lacking taste, but if people watching is your motivation to swing by, then the variety of beers on the tab makes up for the shortcomings of the food.a week agoDon’t know enough to appreciate what makes this place historic, but I can tell you right now, the food at this place is phenomenal, and the staff here know when to come by and check on you, and when to let you enjoy the ambiance and the food and soak it all in. It’s great! May not understand the full history of this place, but I really appreciate it being here, and best of all, it’s open 24hrs! Can’t complain about that at all!4 months agoThis was a fun atmosphere. Music was loud inside, but again fun. The bartender made the service amazing. Food was good. We saw someone else get the mashed potatoes…. Wish we would have ordered the fried chicken and mashed potatoes! Taco salad was good… spicy. BLT… my mom said was a sandwich with a small tomato. Beef stew was excellent per my sis. I do think it was the best eating option on the street. Try it out.4 weeks agoWe planned a visit to this historic establishment after hearing a lot about it. What we ordered – Vegetarian omelette, breakfast burrito What we’ll takeaway – The food was served in a reasonable time. However it was missing seasoning. There was no salt at all. We left disappointed.5 months agoThis is the type of hidden gem which is a true dive cafe. Came in here late just before midnight for some snacks after an evening at the bar. The security guy at the door was not only ID checker, but host who led us to our table. The bartender who waited on us was very friendly and food came out super fast. Pancakes were perfect, and the chicken strips were as good as they come. The atmosphere is eclectic and entertaining, and I suppose not terrible surprising that underneath the dark it’s quite dirty (especially the restroom).

a month agoStopped by on a whim to catch a game on the TV and had an amazing time. The Poke Nachos and Spicy Jambalaya were delicious and flavorful. Service is quick and top notch – the bar is so efficiently ran and pleasant wait staff.3 weeks agoYard House is a long-standing favorite. We love the chicken nachos and a big selection of beers. It’s fancy bar food for the most part. The one here in Seattle is on point for a normal Yard House, and has a great central location between Pike Place, ferries, hotels, malls, shops and theatres. This last time the bartender Jenny was pretty funny and great also.4 months agoGoing to the Yard House was a fun night out. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Delicious Meditation Salmon. The perfectly cooked salmon fillet was incredibly flavorful, with a harmonious blend of spices that truly made it a meditation for my taste buds. The accompanying sides complemented the dish beautifully, creating a well-balanced and satisfying meal.Additionally, I had the Hot Chicken Sandwich, which was another standout item on their menu. The crispy chicken paired with the spicy sauce created a delightful heat that was just right. The sandwich was well-portioned and came with a side of crispy fries, making it a satisfying choice for those who enjoy a bit of heat in their meal.
The Yard House provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, and the attentive service added to the overall positive dining experience. Whether you’re a seafood lover or a fan of spicy dishes, the Delicious Meditation Salmon and Hot Chicken Sandwich are must-try options that showcase the restaurant’s culinary excellence. I would highly recommend a visit to the Yard House for a memorable dining experience.

Top Bloody Mary Alternatives in Seattle

The Best Bloody Mary in United States
The Bloody Mary is a classic brunch cocktail, but if you’re looking to try something different in Seattle, there are several popular alternatives that you shouldn’t miss. Here are the top three:
- Michelada: This Mexican-inspired cocktail is a refreshing and spicy alternative to the Bloody Mary. It typically consists of beer, tomato juice, lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. It is often served in a salt-rimmed glass and garnished with a lime wedge. The Michelada is a perfect choice for those who enjoy a nice balance of heat and tanginess in their cocktails.
- Gin and Tonic with a Twist: If you’re a fan of gin, you’ll love this alternative to the classic Bloody Mary. Seattle has a vibrant gin scene, and many bars offer creative twists on the traditional gin and tonic. Look out for variations that incorporate local ingredients like lavender, cucumber, or elderflower. The crisp and botanical flavors of gin paired with the effervescence of tonic make for a refreshing and sophisticated drink.
- Irish Coffee: For those who prefer a warm and cozy brunch beverage, the Irish Coffee is a fantastic option. Made with hot coffee, Irish whiskey, sugar, and topped with whipped cream, it’s the perfect pick-me-up for a chilly Seattle morning. Some bars and cafes even offer variations that include Irish cream liqueur or flavored syrups for an added twist. Just be sure not to skip the whipped cream on top!
