Absolutely delicious. The avocado toast was the best I have ordered anywhere to date. Everything was presented beautifully. Wonderful atmosphere with kind and helpful staff. The bathroom was very warm. I was able to make reservations for a large party with only a days notice. Unfortunately there was only about one menu item that was vegan and wasn’t a salad.

New review…much better service and hot food this time around! Went in again for brunch and everything was on point!

Old review…Probably would have been better if my food came out hot the first time, and if my original servers did not try leave me with cold food after “reheating” it…but its all good food wasn’t too bad. Really appreciated the lady that came to come help correct the situation! Beyond that vibes pretty were good….

The fries and ketchup were good. Wasn’t overly impressed with any of the other food. Burger was extremely greasy. However the server was polite and pretty timely being the only one there. Drinks were about average quality.

Stopped here on our way home from the airport and it was SO GOOD. We had the chicken sandwich, tuna and cucumber, and the green bean side. The green beans with the fish sauce caramel were incredible, so good I almost ordered a second round to take home. French fries were pretty good, but not a highlight. The outdoor patio is a great spot to sit and enjoy the weather, and service was top notch. Will absolutely be back!

Casual Saint Paul bar and restaurant with a huge patio, close to downtown! We visit for happy hour, 2-5pm weekdays. Bartenders are prompt and friendly. Pull tabs also available. Seems popular for work happy hours, as it’s near downtown and I-94. Lots of nearby parking in a free lot on the property.

St Paul —we were there Saturday night, they were slammed busy… what a cool place, food was amazing, service was too. On street parking was close, really neat neighborhood. UPDATE after finishing the review I read what others put in their reviews, I’m not sure what they are talking about as we had a completely different experIence. Our server bantered WITH us, all great fun, the four meals we got were all perfect and the bar service was steady! We had a reservation so though they were slammed busy we were seated immediately and had a good view of new comers, they too seemed seated pretty efficiently. We had a great experience you should definitely try the Handsome Hog!

I don’t even know where to begin. The waffles were outstanding. Perfect a little bit of crunch and the right amount of chew. The chicken was the star of the show though. Nice and crispy outside and juicy inside. The combo together with just a light syrup glaze made over the top was incredible. Hands down the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. And don’t let me forget to mention those braised green, so good make you wanna slap yourself….twice! Cooked perfectly and the seasoning was on point. I will definitely visit this restaurant again to try other menu items.

We were visiting MSP for the week and wanted to find a good bourbon bar in the twin cities. Reviews and photos looked decent, so we decided to give it a try. The bourbon selection is great and they have really reasonably priced pours, but that is all you can expect from coming here. We ordered wings, jambalaya and brisket and the wings were pretty bland. The chicken itself wasn’t seasoned and it was as if the cook just dumped the dry rub spice and deep fried it. The presentation and taste of the jambalaya was also odd. There were probably 2 cups of rice, topped with this thick sauce (tasted like a pasta sauce), two pieces of prawns and a VERY over cooked chicken thigh. Both the jambalaya and brisket came out lukewarm best, which was interesting because the corn that came with the brisket was scalding hot. When we told the server that the food was cold, she offered to replace the meals, but no one came out to apologize. Another thing I found interesting was that our side plates, empty cans and our appetizer plate was never cleared when our entrees came out. It also wasn’t because they were understaffed. I saw multiple people just hanging out at the bar waiting for people to come in. Overall I am giving this review 3 stars because if it wasn’t for the whiskey prices, it was a very disappointing experience and we will certainly not be back again.

Let’s first start that this was our first time dinning at the restaurant. When you walk in they was welcoming. When it came to ordering we asked for recommendations and he just said everything is good. Now the food was nothing to really brag about to be honest. Our waiter never came to check on us until our plates were taken away. For you to know this is our first experience you would think the service would be better. This was our first and last time coming here. I wouldn’t recommend.

The food here was truly amazing. It was different from the American food I had eaten before. The waiter was also very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Bloody Mary in St Paul

Explore top culinary offerings in various cities, as highlighted earlier in Milwaukee, Chicago and Tampa, to uncover the dynamic food scene across the US cities. This exploration offers a unique lens into the vibrant culinary landscape, showcasing how these establishments contribute to making the United States a center for innovative Bloody Mary tastes and gastronomic excellence.

Top Bloody Mary Alternatives in St Paul

A Bloody Mary is a cocktail containing vodka, tomato juice, and other spices and flavorings including Worcestershire sauce, hot sauces, garlic, herbs, horseradish, celery, olives, pickled vegetables, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, lime juice and celery salt. Some versions of the drink, such as the "surf 'n turf" Bloody Mary, include shrimp and bacon as garnishes. In the United States, it is usually consumed in the morning or early afternoon, and is popular as a hangover cure.
The Bloody Mary was invented in the 1920s or 1930s. There are various theories as to the origin of the drink and its name. It has many variants, most notably the red snapper (also called Bloody Margaret), Bloody Maria (made with tequila blanco), and the Virgin Mary.

The Best Bloody Mary in United States

While the classic Bloody Mary is always a popular choice in St. Paul, there are also a few delicious alternatives that locals love. Here are the top three Bloody Mary alternatives in St. Paul:

  • 1. Caesar Cocktail: This Canadian favorite is becoming increasingly popular in St. Paul. Made with vodka, Clamato juice (a blend of tomato juice and clam broth), and various spices and seasonings, the Caesar Cocktail offers a unique twist on the classic Bloody Mary. It is typically garnished with a celery stalk, lime wedge, and sometimes even a pickled bean or spicy pickled asparagus. Many bars and restaurants in St. Paul have their own signature Caesar Cocktail recipes, so it’s worth trying out a few different places to find your favorite.
  • 2. Michelada: Originating in Mexico, the Michelada is a refreshing and flavorful alternative to the Bloody Mary. It is made by mixing beer (typically a light lager) with tomato juice, lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. The rim of the glass is often salted or rimmed with Tajin, a popular Mexican seasoning blend. Micheladas are commonly enjoyed as a brunch or daytime drink, and they pair well with spicy foods or Mexican cuisine. St. Paul has a fantastic selection of Mexican restaurants and bars where you can find delicious Micheladas.
  • 3. Red Snapper: The Red Snapper is essentially a Bloody Mary with gin substituted for vodka. This alternative offers a different flavor profile and can be a great option for those who prefer gin over vodka. The Red Snapper typically includes tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and various spices and seasonings. It is garnished with the classic Bloody Mary garnishes like celery stalks, olives, and citrus wedges. Several bars and restaurants in St. Paul have their own unique twist on the Red Snapper, so it’s worth exploring the local cocktail scene to find your favorite version.
