3 months ago***Update. I received an answer from *corporate*. (see below) In the response, they still do not take responsibility for the damage to my car done by Tommy’s Express car wash. All I can say is that, if there is damage to my taillights it has been caused by loyally bringing my car to to Tommy’s Express? It apparently finally taking it toll on my vehicle. My longterm patronage and membership certainly has gone unappreciated. I will make an effort to discourage friends and family from using them moving forward. Poor accountability by this company. Be warned….
I Cannot recommend using this car wash! After a few years of using this Tommy’s Car Wash on Forest Hill Ave my vehicles taillight was damaged by the brushes. Specifically a brush snagged a pointed edge of the cars stock taillight assembly. I heard a pop in the rattling of the piece traveling across the roof of my car. After notifying the staff of the damage, an attendant came out took pictures and basic vehicle information. I was told that in an investigation would be made and that they would look for the missing piece after closing. I thought the term “investigation” odd at the time, but whatever as long as they fix the damage the car wash did. After about 30 minutes I was called and told that due to my vehicles prior damage they would not cover the expensive fixing the car. I have owned the car for over 10 years and never had any damage to the tail lights. I expressed my displeasure with their response and was told there was nothing that could be done. After a conversation of well-rehearsed platitudes and robotic answers, I gave up and asked for the car wash attendant’s name and supervisor’s information. I was told by the attendant that he doesn’t like to give out his name and I’d need you to call corporate. My frustration with this is that a wholly unqualified frontline person has made the decision to cost me hundreds of dollars in repairs and won’t own up to it by providing his name. I will attempt to call corporate and see what can be done? Hopefully their response is more reasonable. I will update my Google review with “corporate’s” response. The carwash gets an “F” for customer service.4 weeks agoMy only issue that I have with this location is the suction power of the vacuums . It seems as if, every time I come they don’t work properly. It is self-service so you have to dry the exterior and clean the interior yourself. Vacuuming is free but other supplies will cost you after the base wash. A phone app allows you to drive through without having to stop and pay, a definite time savings. A variety of offers and discounts can lure you into an ongoing subscription. The roof of my SUV will have to be cleaned by hand because the rack interfered with the automated brushes.4 months agoI wish there were more locations nearby my home! We traveled to Richmond for a wedding and the monthly special served our needs perfectly! Exceptional customer service and a meticulous car wash are the perfect match. I even got clean floor mats for free. You cannot find this kind of service in the DC area!

a week agoI love the employees personal care and customer service. Their knowledge of the machines and products and willingness to assist and share with ease vacuums are all powerful. Bathroom is top quality sanitized and aromatherapeutic. Water spout available for additional hand washing or other purposes. I’d go no where else. The one on Broad is much better than Midlothian IMO2 months agoThis car wash ruined my hood and roof of my car. There were many scratches that a professional detailer could not remove. He told me the clearcoat is damaged.2 months agoLot of options out there but Go Car wash is my go to. Had some nasty spots all over my car that were impossible to get out but DAVE came out of his office and put a special liquid all over my car and was able to get all the spots out. He also cleaned out my rims. Best customer service I have received at a car wash. Besides the free vacuum they have free wet towels you can use to clean your car. I lost my car over a year ago in a accident and was issued a new tag for SUV and no one changed system. well I bought a nother SUV the Feb and I only been like 3 times this year. I got winshield replaced and needed to vacuum out my SUV and it seemed ro be a problem cause yall system was not updated. I gave my tag back. I better never see another charge from. GO Car Wash! Probably the worst wash I’ve ever gotten. We went here because we saw a ton of people so assumed it was THE go to car wash spot. We paid $14 for the wash. We have had better luck at $5 car wash spots.
The staff was great! But the wash was not. The pictures speak for themselves. After the wash, there’s a vacuum area. They didn’t work well at all. The suction power was extremely low.
I didn’t take a picture of the rims but you can just imagine they were just as bad.
I went just in a few days ago and the place is horribly old-looking and beat down. They have quickly gone up to $10 for the basic wash. There’s no one there to give your car a quick spray and light scrub on those bad areas before entering the car wash. Most of the vacuums either did not work at all, or had very low suction, or was falling apart in hand. I had to change spots 3 times!!!! Finally got one but it had suction so low- I was mentally finished with this place by then! This place has gone downhill since I first started coming here in 2021. They need to clean the parking lot area too. I think it has new management that simply do not care!!! Better to go to Tidal Wave at 1409 Packer Crossing (just down the street). Same set up w/ free vacuum but brand new, clean and better service!!!!
This is a full service drive thru carwash on Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield, Virginia. I used to pay for a wash membership for my mother. She has since passed away so I cancelled the membership. When I visit this location I am most often met by an attendant at the pay booth. The attendant is normally helpful with completing the wash purchase; however, the kiosk is very easy to use without the assistance. The lines are sometimes a little long but with a little patience the services have been worth the wait. There is always an attendant at the wash entrance to guide me onto the vehicle conveyor tracks. The rest is pretty easy and the auto wash does a good job of washing the vehicle. After the wash there are options to exit the facility or to turn into the vacuum area. The vacuums are normally plentiful and powerful. You can have as much time as you need to vacuum your vehicle. The office staff has been helpful when I have needed their assistance. This business has met all my needs and I will continue to support this business.
The wash was ok, but the customer service is amazing. If you need help ask for Steve, he always take care of me when I have a concern or complaint. Even shine my tires for me
They more than doubled the price of the service from $4 to $10 and it does not clean the car at all! It was still dirty when it came out. Waste of money, don’t go there.
