  My partner and I decided we wanted to have a barber experience while on a weekend getaway so we stopped by Steadfast and had Josh do a straight razor fade on both of us. He did an amazing job. We loved the atmosphere, they offered us a beer or bourbon upon entrance and the conversation was entertaining and fun. Josh added a bit of a design in my hair and it is awesome. I’d definitely come back if/ when I’m in the area and I’d definitely recommend to any locals.

  I’ve been getting my hair cut by Josh for the last year now. Always a good conversation and an even better cut. Sitting in the shop with the guys is always a good time and they always make you feel welcome. Josh is always able to give me exactly what I’m looking for in my haircut/style and it’s almost like the cuts get better each time I go. I’ll definitely continue to go to him for all my cuts.

  If you want a haircut that is exactly what you ask for, this is the place you want to go. Have had my hair styled by Seth and Marcus, both of which are superior barbers. They listen to what you say and make sure you leave more than satisfied. Highly recommend!

  I came in today for a haircut because I have not been in a few months. My hair was out of control. I wanted only 1.5 inches to 2 inches cut off on top, but it has been completely cut off and did not look like the photo I showed the barber. Not very knowledgeable on the types of shampoo a person should use for different types of hair. After thinking about it for awhile, I am disappointed in this particular cut. If you have short hair this, is a great place to come, but long hair, I suggest you go another place. Their website does state this is a traditional barbershop which specializes in short hair, fades, and beards. Now I know when looking up for a new barber.

  Who doesn’t love a barber shop that serves beer? I mean it’s the perfect match. It’s literally the one place in your busy lives that you can take a moment and breath and get a cut from people who know what F they are doing. I get my cut from Bryce, but the man is sought after because he kills it!! So I suggest making an online appointment at least 1 week out so you get a spot. Other than that go here. It took me 5 barber shops and the idea of growing my hair long until I found The local barber & Tap.

  I went to Jordon yesterday…first time…he had good reviews. A fellow Michigan person. I showed him a pic (I’m sure they love people showing them a celebrity pic and say I want to look like this!). He asked how short on the sides..4 he asked? I said maybe 3? He used a 4 (easy to cut more off) and said what do u think? – I said, I think u were right with 4! Lol. I’m 66 so I don’t have all the hair I used to, but I was very happy that he paid attention, took time and also spent time with all the hair on a 66 year old that doesn’t grow on the head! I loved that the Rankin parking garage is nearby (free the first hour). I hope to be a regular…sometimes barbers think that they can coast and not pay close attention with regulars because “they’ll” be back…I hope Jordon and his barbers don’t have that mindset!   Coming from FL we used a kids only hair cut spot for my son and decided to give the “Chop Shop Barber Shop” a spin! My 4 year old got his hair cut by Amy. She did great kept his attention nicely and was able to give a solid cut with buzz/scissor combo which I prefer. Will do business again for sure! Police car seat gives that added touch any kid would love. Staff was friendly upon entering the establishment.

  This is our 3rd cut from Melissa at The Chop Shop. She’s the best! We had been going to an old timey barber shop and Melissa is so much better! Give her a try and you won’t be disappointed! She’s also a very kind and interesting person to talk to which is an added bonus.
