  I had purchased an annual membership under the original owner which was great. Haircut and a cold brew. Then I bought a second annual membership just before they upped all their prices. I had my appointments cancelled numerous times the morning of my cut with no attempt to reschedule with another stylist. Then I requested (8/18/22) to have my membership cancelled and be refunded the remaining balance. I’ve been contacted by the manager of the Meridian location Katie who responded with “I will pass this information along to our General Manager. She is in charge of all refunds” and now the manager of the Nampa location Kaylee “I will send the email to the general manager again. Sorry for the delay.”. Both have said that they forwarded my request to have the remaining balance of my membership refunded to the general manager. I haven’t had a refund nor any contact from the GM. In my initial email (Cause they don’t accept a verbal in-store request to cancel) it had my personal email (which the managers have reached me at) and my cell to be contacted at. As a Veteran owned business supposedly in supporting Veterans, this seems a lacking aspect of this entire establishment. And this doesn’t even touch on my experience at the Maple Grove location…. I DON’T WANT A THANK YOU, I WANT MY REFUND. Guess a report to the BBB will be next.

  After nearly 4 years with Craftsman I am done with them for good. They have steadily been declining since the ownership changed- I thought maybe it was just growing pains at first but it’s clear now that it’s not.

  The subscription format is a good idea, especially for professions that require a regular haircut like the military, and that’s what initially sold me on a membership- the 1 free beer included per appointment was cool as well but those are long gone.

  The prices have been raised several times since I joined but the quality and value has actually declined. I don’t believe any of those price raises have directly benefitted the barbers and stylists either-which I could at least overlook by tipping more.

  The hair products have also nearly doubled in price. I don’t mind paying more than online prices in order to support a local business but it’s gotten ridiculous, it feels exceptionally greedy and desperate. That’s kind of what the whole business feels like now versus what it used to feel like.

  Ultimately it just doesn’t make sense to pay double what it costs at Sportsclips for the same level of service. And on top of that, their best talents have left or are leaving. I would be surprised to see this place still open in a year or two

  So I look on Google for a barber shop with over 4 stars and I see this place. Glad I went here. The atmosphere is very up beat. The barbers are all very good as everyone leaving had a good cut. Heather cut my hair and did a fantastic job. The price is more than I am use to paying for a haircut but you get top service. They cut my hair, then washed my head giving me a head massage and having a hot towel wrapped around my face. Then they shaved my neck. You can also grab a beer here, or soda. This is a great place and I highly recommend it.

  I have requested twice now have my membership canceled. They have yet to respond in confirmation. Additionally, they have a “30 day cancellation policy” which is absurd. There’s no reason you need more than a month notice. If my gym can end my membership at the end of the month, so can you.

  Such a wonderful place! And their monthly plans just make it so worth it! I’m trying to work towards a new hair-do, and being able to have unlimited cuts, trims, and washes helps this so much! Great experience!

  My experience at Sports Clips was AMAZING!! I just moved here from Tampa Florida & was looking for a place to get a decent haircut. My last haircut when I first got here was a joke from a different place!! Then I found Sports Clips & thought I would give them a try. Best choice I’ve made, they gave me an EXCELLENT haircut & the atmosphere was great!! I have knee issues right now & use a walker to get around, they actually came out to the parking lot & asked if I needed assistance to get inside!! I was blown away from the start from there kindness!! 1st class service to an unknown customer!! If you desire an EXCELLENT haircut, give Sports Clips on Overland in Boise a try, you won’t regret it!!

  This place is absolutely jumping. I was referred by a friend to go here, definitely not your average sports clips I would say highly above average, I could see that everyone here knows what they’re doing and has tons of experience, I had Heather doing my hair. 10 out of 10 super awesome gal her fun facts and bubbly personality will simply make your day! And she’s also dropdead gorgeous so that’s just the icing on the cake. Don’t get too excited fellas she’s married. lucky guy.

  LISA was amazing! It honestly seemed like she was putting out 2 haircuts to everyone’s one and hers were quality… I usually don’t use this place because my son has a Barber… But after my Barber canceled and put us in a position to have to find something immediately we found this place and we’re extremely happy with the work LISA did… I’ll definitely use her again…. I think my only issue would be The waiting time…but they were extremely busy and for a last minute drop in it wasn’t too bad… And now that I know how their waiting time works it’ll probably be a lot easier next time when I’m prepared to come here instead of last minute efforts…. Easy 5 star

  My son needed a haircut before the first day of school. They stayed open after closing time to get everyone’s hair cut. All the customers seemed very appreciative and the stylists were friendly. I would highly suggest them and this location.

  I will no longer use sports clips. I’ve been using them for over 10 years and I’m done here is why.
  Their online check in may be convenient in a lot of ways, however considering that I have been forced to wait for people who weren’t ready when their name came up is ridiculous. If I’m ready and the person “in line” isn’t there they should forgo their spot I’m not waiting because they decided to take a nap in their car.
  Additionally I refuse to be talked to in a patronizing manner by a “stylist” who has been cutting hair significantly less time than i previously went to get my hair cut there. Im not a 90 year old man who refused to use technology, therefore know your audience don’t be condescending to someone walking in who doesn’t want to use the app. Im done with them, their system isn’t worth the hassle and frustration. Also, turn over in stylists that just got out of school claiming to have “a year” of experience is getting old, I’m tired of walking away unhappy with a poor haircuts.

  Been going to this Sport Clips for many years and never been a problem in the past. But now, what is up with the checkin system? Login and signup at 9:10am and there was a 60+ minute wait for all stylist. Oh okay, so I randomly picked a stylist and waited. When I arrived signed in and noticed there was one stylist cutting hair, oh course it was the stylist I randomly picked. There others were just finishing or were waiting for a customer. While waiting 20+ minutes, 3 customers arrived and got right in. Frustrating! Using their silly app for checkin is a waste of time. Don’t bother.

  Sports clips is great. Vern cuts my hair. The Vernster, Vernerino, the Verninator. I came in looking like a shaggy dog and I left looking like ….. A well groomed dog. She is super funny and nice and gives a great haircut. Don’t call her Veronique though she doesn’t like that even though it’s quite unique. I highly recommend sports clips and Vereneroni for all your haircut needs she is an excellent hair-cutress. I will return. She better have watched Rob Schneider’s SNL clip of the copy machine by that time or I will be disappointed. Not so much that I won’t give her a good tip though because she gives a great haircut. Tip your hair-cutresses well people. It’s a tough economy.
