  Wow. Not much more needs to be said. Gentlemen, this place is a luxury. The time, effort, and care that they put into each person is truly one of a kind. From the moment I walked in I was swept away by the atmosphere and ambience of the shop. I was greeted kindly by the staff. Before my cut, Nicole took time to chat with me about my hair preferences and previous experiences. This was not your typical “show me the cut you want and lets get you in and out” shop. I felt pampered and spoiled from the moment I walked in until the moment I left the shop. Not to mention the cut itself looks like something out of a fashion magazine. Fellas, treat yourself. You will not regret it. See you in 4 weeks House of Handsome!

  I’ve accompanied my boyfriend to multiple appointments at House of Handsome. Michael B and his staff are always very warm and welcoming. Their attention to detail is very evident, from the services they provide to the decor in the shop as well- Think 1920s Great Gatsby luxury, complete with Jazz music and great service.

  Best haircut experience I’ve had in my life. Nicole worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. The price is a little steep at first but once I realized what I was getting I’ll happily be paying that price again when I return. Looking forward to becoming a repeat customer.

  House of Handsome is truly a unique experience and it is really hard to put into words because of how unique it is. Starting with the haircut, HoH provides the absolute best cut in town, bar none. Michael B is phenomenal and I’ve been cut by other members of the team as well, and they are all extraordinarily good at their craft… they wouldn’t be working T House of Handsome if they weren’t.

  The experience just from walking in the door is one of a kind and you are seeming transported to another place and time where elegance and style where king. The pictures, while outstanding, don’t even do it justice. You have to see it to believe it.

  I use all their products as well and they are all great.

  House if Handsome is an absolutely outstanding experience which is why I’ve been coming here faithfully every two weeks since it opened. Cannot recommend it enough.

  Went to this amazing barber shop for the first time today, and boy was I blown away. The staff there clearly know their business/craft, are professional, and care about the cuts they put out into the world. Also, the staff are extremely welcoming and everyone makes you feel right at home. Stormie killed my cut, I haven’t ever had a haircut look this great. If you’re thinking of trying this place then just do it, it’s totally worth it. While I was there multiple guys came through, and every single haircut looked absolutely amazing, magazine quality amazing. The whole process is a fantastic, complete experience from start to finish that I doubt you could get anywhere else. I can gladly say I have found my go to barber shop for years to come.

  PRO: When I lived in Pittsburgh, I got recommendations to checkout Mister Grooming & Goods. I was pretty eager to go there. The booking experience (texting) and the back & forth with the front desk staff were seamless. When I got to the shop, the staff at the front desk was friendly, but my experience quickly went downhill when I started getting my haircut from Jess.

  CON: It can always be nerve-wracking to go to a new barber, so making a connection can be important (i.e. listening to the customer, asking for feedback throughout the haircut, and making adjustments as needed), but Jess’ lack of attention to detail, her seemingly reluctance to be there, and ultimately cutting the sides way too short made me disappointed in my experience at the shop. I get that people may have bad days, and I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt, but I left feeling uncomfortable.

  Emily was super professional and knowledgeable and compared very favorably to past barbers giving beard trims. She told me exactly how to maintain it and what I really respected and was that she was very confident about giving her professional advice about the kind of beard that works for my face shape.   Mr G&G is a very nice place! Environment full of fun and grange-art objects makes eye searching enjoyable while conversation with your barber keeps your mind away from daily routine. Mr G&G perfectly reflects hipster vibes of Lawrenceville neighborhiood of Pittsburgh. Highly recommend! Been there twice, will come back again shortly!
  FYI Anti-COVID-19 precautions by stuff are second to none and booking service with text message notifications are super convenient. Very well done Mr G&G!

  Have been going to this hair salon for years. I used to get my hair cut with Ethan before he moved onto another shop. Recently got a gentleman’s fade with a number 1 on the side from Zach. One of the best barber shops in the city and a great value for your money as you get a very high quality haircut, a shampoo with the cut, and a beverage of choice. Coffee, water, beer, whiskey. Etc. Highly recommend this place.

  I don’t usually leave reviews online but I have to for this awful franchise/establishment. I asked for a simple fade from a 1-3 and a half inch off the top, and even had a photo for reference. And the girl that claimed to have been cutting hair for 20 years messed it up beyond what I could have imagined. She was clumsy, rushed, and unorganized. Did not listen to what I asked for and left a huge bald spot in the back of my head. I will never go back to this place and don’t recommend anyone to go. Wish I could get my money back because now I will be wearing a hat for the next week or two. Absolutely terrible experience.

  I have never been to a sports clips. What an interesting experience. The name gives me anxiety. I know nothing about sports. I was given the MVP Experience. Beard Trim, Hair Cut/Wash, Steamed Towel massage. It cost 30 dollars, it was worth it! I wouldn’t have chosen the option because it is kinda pricey. I will go back.
