What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I would say I am a regular at this location since they opened . I have been closing my eyes on a lot of issues lately ( since I work with the public and it can be some what demanding ) however, I never mistreat people or treat them unkind . I usually let things slide because I give people the benefit of the doubt . However, I reached my limits. It seems to me no one is addressing the bad behavior and the unkindness those cashiers especial the one who is always screaming at people ( looks Spanish ) with a New York accent . Today , i finally had enough and if I will be called a Karen so be it. A new contender ( Monique) was very rude and seemed like she did not want to be bothered . I understand that we all have problems in our life but if your having those days … don’t put it on others . We all have enough problems already and least be kind and respectful and polite ( even if you have to be fake ) it is not people’s problem that you have to work . I’m sure Costco is compensating their workers generously ( so be kind because your getting paid for your kindness )
I truly don’t want anyone in trouble but this has to be addressed so it won’t be like we are stepping into a dollar store . Please do something .

  2. I worked for this company for five years and have been to Costco’s all around the country. I can honestly say that I do not feel safe at this location. Warehouse was put in a bad area of town and lacks additional security needed. Only good thing was gas station had a third party security guard. Would like to see more of this on the regular parking lot side to protect members. For some reason someone thought putting the food court outside in this bad of an area was a good idea. Quite simply this decision attracts people who do not belong on property and I feel this is a security issue. Not only that but with the extreme heat it is terribly uncomfortable to sit outside. Location is busier than the parking can handle and an additional location on the west side of town is highly needed.

  3. I was just here today and there was a mistake on a price label for a shop vacuum cleaner. At first, management stated that the price was incorrect and they wouldn’t be able to honor it. So I purchased the rest of my items and left. While I was in the parking lot a manager came outside to tell me that they made a mistake and were willing to honor the price if I still wanted it. This is the BEST costumer service I have received in a long time. Thank you costco. This is why I enjoy coming here.

  4. Great Costco always busy. Just watch for the old people they will run over you with their basket. Don’t go on Sundays it is a complete mad house!

  5. Had an excellent experience just now with Yvonne. She was incredibly helpful and provided wonderful customer service. I don’t know if management has changed recently but it feels like an entirely different Costco than 1 year ago.

As a visitor from Texas and a first time shopper at Costco (I was a guest with my aunt who has a membership) I did not appreciate how we were spoken to.

Given it was a Friday (08/04) afternoon and there was a lot of foot traffic, my aunt and I, along with our children, made way to self-checkout, not knowing there was a line 3 register stands away, when this associate started yelling at us – NO! NOPE! GET OUT OF THE WAY, THE LINE IS BACK THERE.

At first, we had no idea who this “man” was talking to because where we chose to initially pay, there was no one. It wasn’t until the man (who had his name tag flipped over where it was not visible) had approached us (two women with small children) and told us in the same fashion as before to leave the register because there was a line.

    Strike one.

We apologized to those in line and explained we didn’t know the rules for this particular Costco location. I did ask the man to be kinder when speaking but he was more focused on removing us from the self checkout area. We were in shock on what had transpired and actually contemplated on leaving the cart with the two 3-pound bags and few clothing items we wanted to purchase but my aunt convinced me to just brush it off.

We then went to a cashier whom we saw was being trained. Tommy, the cashier was great! His trainer, Regina – needs a refresher on customer service. She acted so unprofessional and was quick to get defensive when asked if we could get 3 different receipts. She proceeded to point her finger in my face saying I “shouldn’t even be here because you don’t have a membership” which irritated me because of how in the span of a minute and a half, two associates felt it was necessary to be nasty towards us.

    Strike two.

I asked to speak to a supervisor because of the mistreatment we were receiving back-to-back. Ms. Keisha was who responded and honestly, her calmness and approach was what diffused the situation from escalating to a screaming match between Regina and myself. We asked if it was possible to have 3 different receipts for the materials that was being purchased with 3 different cards, she kindly explained the rules in less than 45 seconds. I thanked her for her compassion and seeing us as human beings, not just as customers. My aunt told her she barely shops at Costco and only got the membership for my cousin to be added as her household but that it quickly reminded her why she barely shops there.

The store itself was great. The customer service received by those two associates left a bad taste in my mouth which is why I’m rating it 1 star. I don’t raise my voice at my own children and to have them witness their mother get yelled at by two strangers, that doesn’t sit well. My respects to Ms. Keisha and Tommy for keeping it classy, professional and patient with my children.

Needless to say, we will not be going back to Costco simply for this reason. No need to see what Strike Three will look like. My aunt will not be renewing her membership in about two weeks.

Great prices paired with service you should expect from a big box wholesaler. They have an outstanding liquor selection. Only drawback here is their uncharacteristic long lines. We don’t experience such long checkout lines at our local Costco.

Gasoline at Costco is fantastic. It is also listed as Top Tier gasoline which is a premium list to be on for industry recognized quality gasoline.

Wanted to see if they had what I wanted before I got the membership. They made me get the membership just to go in & check if they have whole lamb or goat. No one knew or just called the butcher to find out. I got the membership and walked back to the butcher & they didn’t have it. Then, I went to the membership area to cancel the membership & was told to come back tomorrow to cancel. The whole thing was ridiculous.

The best way to blow your paycheck and stock up your house for six months. They always have great sales great products and some of the nicest staff. They have o much more to offer than just stuff, like vacation destinations, prescriptions, car buying service, home loan assistance and the list goes on. They offer installation on home appliances for free and will haul away the old one. When I was shopping for a new stove Costco had it for a cheaper price than the other big box stores and with the free install and haul away I ended up saving a ton of money. I absolutely love this place. It seems like every week they have something new and different to offer while at the same time selling some of the older things at a great price. The executive membership is worth it. You earn a percentage of every dollar spent and get it in a check a few month before renewal time. For the past few years my check has covered my membership and than some.

The sugar free monster drinks in bulk are $1.50/each-half the price of a gas station drink. They have the BEST pesto and they have protein powder and bars. Excellent, cheap croissants 🥐

If I am not reached out to in some way I will be contacting corporate Hello, I’m a new costco member and I really wish I could have my money back when I cancel the membership here! Or I would have done it the same day I made the huge mistake of joining! I want to say first off this is one of the most worst establishments I have ever spent my money on to shop at! I decided to give this place a week later after the first incident! First and foremost when we signed up we were pressured to get the credit card after multiple times of telling this associate we were not interested at all, second it was not disclosed to us that costco only takes visa! Or your citi credit card whatever I got past that, we were chased down by the door to show them our costco card after we just joined no problem didn’t know but was rudly told if we didn’t want this kind of embarrassment again show the card! Whatever! Got it and as I told the door security we didn’t know. But today! Today I went back there to give this place a second chance being I spent money to become a member here, must have been an off day, me and my significant other go inside do our shopping and go to the self check out where this lady insisted to know if we were going to be doing separate purchases, now I was paying two different ways but I don’t think that is anyone buisness, proceeds to tell me we can’t do separate check outs and that the guest policy is changing and people won’t be able to do that anymore! I said ma’am I am doing two separate transactions and she proceeds to ask me for both of our cards or we would not be permitted to check out! WHAT? I did not know it was cost of business or anyone else that I have to use two separate cards to buy my groceries. She was very rude to us grabbed my card out of my hand and held the card up to see if it looked like me! Scanned it for me and dropped it on the self check out! What the hell kind of place are you guys running! I have literally signed up for a year only a week ago and I feel so uncomfortable shopping there its not even funny! I would really like to cancel my membership and get my money back!

Ordered patio furniture. Chris and Cortez did a great job of putting pieces together and placing it where we needed. They were friendly and got things right before leaving. Love the patio furniture!

When Costco opened in Lafayette (what 3 years ago) whatever, I went to the store.I entered, then asked the attendant if I could view the store before I joined. The attendant told me I would have to have someone walk me through, no problem. I waited. Thirty minutes. Went to the desk and asked when someone was going to take me through the store, and was told to continue to wait, as someone would EVENTUALLY get to me. After another 10 minutes being ignored I left, never to return. I’ve been a member of Sam’s club since it opened, which was decades ago. I think this reflects on Costco. What do you think?

How to Shop Smart at Costco Louisiana: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Costco can be a great way to save money and stock up on everyday items. With its wide variety of products and competitive prices, Costco has become a popular shopping destination for many. To make your Costco shopping experience a breeze, here are some guidelines to follow:

  • Come prepared with a shopping list: Before heading to Costco, make a list of the items you need. This will help you stay focused and avoid impulse purchases.
  • Bring your membership card: Since Costco is a membership-based warehouse club, you will need a valid membership card to enter the store and make purchases.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: Costco stores are known for their large size, so be prepared to do some walking. Comfortable shoes will ensure that you can navigate the store easily.
  • Check for weekly deals and coupons: Costco offers regular discounts and promotions on various products. Check their website or flyer for any current deals or coupons that you can take advantage of.
  • Buy in bulk: One of the main advantages of shopping at Costco is the ability to buy items in bulk. Consider purchasing non-perishable items, household essentials, and items with a long shelf life in larger quantities to save money in the long run.
  • Compare prices: While Costco often offers competitive prices, it’s still a good idea to compare prices of similar products with other retailers. This will ensure that you are getting the best value for your money.
  • Utilize the food court: Most Costco locations have a food court where you can grab a quick bite to eat at an affordable price. Don’t forget to try their famous .50 hot dog combo!
  • Be mindful of the checkout lines: Costco can get busy, especially on weekends. Be prepared for longer checkout lines and bring along some patience. However, Costco is known for its efficient and fast checkouts, so your wait time shouldn’t be too lengthy.
  • Consider executive membership: If you are a frequent Costco shopper, it may be worth upgrading to their executive membership. Along with additional benefits, it offers an annual 2% reward on eligible purchases, which can help offset the cost of the membership fee.

By following these guidelines, you can make your shopping trip to Costco more efficient, cost-effective, and enjoyable. Happy shopping!
