  1. I had a “HORRIBLE” experience at this Best Western. This is how you treat your “Diamond Members!” Somehow common decency, respect and just plain kindness was replaced with rude, disrespectful, bullying and just plain nasty behavior by Gary the manager. I work nights as a travel nurse. I stayed here several times in recent weeks. I tried checking in and Gary the manager was very condescending and rude to me. He raised his voice “you’re not checking in now check in is between 3 and 4 p.m. it was 11 a.m. and I told Gary that I had stayed there before and was able to check in early with a fee. Gary repeatedly stated “you never stayed here, not here we don’t have early check ins.” Then he chastized me, yelling, telling me off, going on and on about how hotels are run, other hotels check in is at 4 pm etc. I couldn’t get a word in. I finally asked to speak and told him that I would pay the early check in fee. He tried to over charge me $75 for check in at 2 p.m. Early check in is $30. I could see the housekeepers cleaning the room and new that he could accommodate me much sooner but he just didn’t want to. I left the hotel called customer service to complain and cancelled my reservation. I ended up staying at a motel a few streets away got a room within 3 min and had a great experience! I’ve been staying at the Best western hotels for work since last summer and I’ve had great experiences. Gary certainly should not be in a managers position. Being in charge doesn’t give you the right to be verbally abusive to customers. NEWS FLASH Gary! You are in the service industry. That means that you are supposed to be kind, welcoming and accommodating to your customers. There was absolutely no reason for your horrible behavior.

  2. Great place for when you’re on a budget. The service was excellent, they’re really friendly people. Location is not the best, it’s right off the freeway so the noise level can be a little high. Very, very clean 👌🏼. It has all it may be needed during your trip. Convenient location in terms of shopping and dining.

  3. If I could give these guys a -10, I would! More like the WORST WESTERN! Besides being a terrible and dingy motel, they said I could check in 2 hours early, but then when I got there wanted to charge me 63% MORE than the price I booked the room at to get into the room 2 hours early!! 63% MORE!! When I asked for a discount, they refused. When I asked for the manager, they said he wasn’t there. They literally did not care that I was jetlagged and had no where else. I literally cancelled right then and there and found another place 3 miles away that was 1/2 the price and infinitely nicer.

  4. I booked a room here for an employee with every indication I was pre-paying. I even got a confirmation email that stated “This reservation is non-refundable” When he got there they said we never paid and would not take our business card over the phone, said there is nothing they can do to help. They said if we do not cancel the reservation they will charge the card, but if we keep the reservation they will not, what the heck? We cancelled the reservation and took our business elsewhere where they were happy to take care of our employee. Gary you were terrible, your employees behave just like you.

  5. The hotel has been updated with the new Best Western decor. Those with kids will appreciate the laminate floors over carpet. We had a 6 night stay here and used it as base camp to explore the LA rea. The room has enough space for four people to not feel too cramped. The beds were fine but the half wide pillows they use now are a bit annoying. Only complaint would be not enough drawers so that you can unload the suite case for an extended stay. The hot breakfast was the standard affair for Best Western with no complaints. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

    Tho hotel is close to several freeways which helps to get around as much as you can in the infamous LA traffic. There is a park next door which is great to take the kids to if you need to burn they need to burn off some energy before quite time.

    We were looking for a hotel anywhere in the greater LA area for attending a concert, and initially chose this hotel because it’s price was so much better than anything else in the area. It was cheaper than a lot of run down looking motels that came up in our search. We are so glad we chose it! The hotel is very old but you’d never know other than the style. Everything in the rooms is up to date, clean, and in great shape. It was always quiet during our stay. The staff was friendly and always available, and the boutique hotel was in such a great location. As others mentioned this hotel is only accessible by stairs, but it only has rooms on two floors so you don’t need to worry about packing your luggage far. This was our first time in Glendale and we’ll definitely be back after this experience.

    Service was nice and welcoming. The location is great due to multiple shops and restaurants around but the hotel parking is about a block away; still, not bad. The room was clean and a well equipped with snacks and drinks (sold separately). The room did not have an unpleasant smell but did have an odd smell and the beds are squeaky and the walls are thin (I’m a light sleeper so that was a no for me).

    Ratings of this hotel are misleading. I’ll say this, it served is purpose. First of all my fiance has a broken back so accessibility is very important. This hotel is different with interesting decor which honestly helped in my choosing, however this hotel isn’t handicap friendly. It’s up a bunch of stairs with no elevator access and the parking is a block away. My fiance luckily is mobile so he was able to get up the stairs bit walking a block to park plus pay for said parking, forget it. We risked parking in the handicap bank of America parking behind the building overnight, and we were good. The room itself was small, very little room to move around, the bed was squeaky and it just over all needed an upgrade. Now don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t dirty or anything. It actually has a lot of character. Other then the whole stairs/ parking situation everything else was tolerable.

    Visiting the area whole working. The first room I was in had very bad wifi, less than 1mb upload/download. The room was about mid way down the hallway. They were very accommodating and helpful. First they unlocked a private break room to let me work there until the day shift person arrived and was able to switch my room Thr second room was at the end of the hall where the wifi was very strong 45mb upload/download.

    Location is great. Everything downtown was wonderful and a short walk. Try Portos, they have a delicious bakery!

    Enjoyed our stay here! We stayed for a weekend to visit friends and attend a concert, this place was not too far from Rose Bowl and had many food/shopping options.

    – The hardest part was carrying our luggage up the stairs, but we’ve read the reviews beforehand so we were mentally prepared. – Check in was easy. There is a deposit fee however it wasn’t a big deal since the room rates were still much lower than other hotels nearby. – Rooms were clean and cozy, hotel lobby had beautiful decorations with a vintage vibe. Despite being one of the older hotels, the bathroom was up to date and had all the necessities. – Great location, it’s within walking distance of basically most food and retail places. – The only big issue was that the hotel wifi didn’t really work, but I rely on cellular data so it was fine.

    We had a wonderful time during our stay. If stairs, wifi and parking aren’t a big deal for you, then you would like it here.

    Great location near the Hollywood Boulevard. Clean decent room and bath room with full amenities provided! don’t worry about the noise nearby mention by the host, im a light-sleeper i didn’t even hear anything as you’ll be tired to even notice it 🙂

    Very spacious rooms with a lot of convient little touches. Location is Central to a lot of stuff to do as well as 2 blocks away from a subway station (max 5 minutes). Mary is an awesome host!
