a month agoI would give zero stars if I could. After getting one of the most expensive wash some of the car came out dry, they let me run it again for free and it was just a little more wet/clean. Front dash was only half wiped clean. I have attached a picture. I should have listen to my dad and have gone down the street at the $3 wash. Waste of $34. Will never go back again. On the second run only half the car was dryed while the manager and 2 other employees just stood around talking to each other giggling. I don’t even write reviews but this place needed one. Only old people were there getting their car clean probably due to the indoor waiting area. If you go get the the cheapest wash. Usually business perform a service with love, but this place it felt like they purposely did it with hate. I went here years ago and it was bad, I figured let me try it again, maybe they got better but the truth is the service got worse. Do your self a favor, go to Belvidere, or machesney.2 months agoGreat Place and very friendly staff. Got my moneys worth. The young men and woman there are truly into what they do. Good to see a new and younger work force.a month agoAs much as things have changed in Rockford, some things have to stay the same. A desire to serve the customer and give them a value that they can hang their Hat on, unfortunately, this particular car wash has not done that. And quite frankly, I don’t think they ever will. It is my belief that they’re only intention based on The Times that I abuse them. Is to make as much money as they can. Prior to leaving Rockford. Which I believe it’s going to be the end result.
And that’s unfortunate.2 months agoPaid a mint to have my car cleaned – 45 dollars with tip – should never tip before the job is done my bad/ however if u pay for the bigger package it isn’t going to be a better job done – it’s just ripping u off —left with windows still dog nose prints vacuum was only partially done front only they didn’t wash the rubber mats bugs left on windshield- wax buildup around mirror and white spots on the exterior tried to call and it kept ringing till disconnected No vm available. Will not returna year agoI don’t think this is the place to go to to get a good wash, maybe something for like a spot clean. I did a 350 mile road trip and figured I’d get a car wash. It did not get any of the bug splatter and the entire front of my car looks shiny with bugs all over it. A waste of 18 bucks if you ask me.

They did name it correctly when the new owners took it because all I can say is WOW, THEY LOST MY 15+ YEARS OF CUSTOMER LOYALTY….3 weeks agoHad my carwash done just recently. It included vacuum cleaning with the levels for the car wash. They also wipe down the dash board. I honestly thought that they would wipe down the seats in the back, but I was mistaken. Overall, I felt that they did a good job and I didn’t have to wait that long for the vacuum the car, wipe the dashboard, and the car wash and had dry. I heard some other clients comment on how their internal full detail is good, but I did not purchase that for my time I was there.4 weeks agoGot an oil change there, and a mistake was made and my oil filter housing was damaged, leading to a severe oil leak and a $700 repair. However the staff was very kind and willing to work with me and the mechanic, by taking accountability for the damage and working things out. Thanks for working with me with a difficult situation. The interior cleaning was also nice.a month agoBeen a few years since I have been here. Gone way down hill. $25 for a wash and vacuum and they didn’t even dry my roof or wipe my door jams. I was literally the only person there so they had plenty of time. Also did a poor job cleaning my glass. Skip it go somewhere else2 months agoI have gone here a couple times in the past and never had a good experience, from money being stolen from my car (my fault – I shouldn’t have left it in the car and I take ownership of that) to incredibly poor work. Today, the third row of my vehicle wasn’t vacuumed because they “couldn’t lay down a seat”, the windows were steaky and there was stuff that they just flat out failed to wash off. This is the most expensive car wash in the area and does the worst job. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

A couple of years back I went to rain storm when they first took over from the $3 Car Wash. First thing they did was raise the prices considerably and take away you buy the top tier car wash you would get a ticket for another car wash it could be the same car you’re driving a couple of days from now or it could be wife’s car or etc etc. Circle K has now bought these guys out. For the last month they’ve been giving away free car wash certificates so you get free car wash at the rain storm. I have gone there a couple of times now and found out that the car wash is well staffed, and complete when you’re doing a wash. You don’t miss out on wax and other stuff when you’ve paid for it. I’m giving these guys a good review at this time let’s hope they keep up on this.
Everyone was nice and friendly except for the manager. Very clear he needs remedial training and only God knows how he got that position. I am a brand new customer and had concerns about the vacuum suction and the duct tape all over the equipment. His answer was do you want to cancel because this is the best you are going to get. Now it is apparent he knows nothing about even trying to keep customers due to his total lack of knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of customer service. I don’t believe the owners objective is to lose customer or money but so be it. I canceled because I have options and because of the manager who lacks the training needed to explain what is being done to rectify problems and concerns with the establishment. Paying 40 dollars a month is excessive for faulty and inadequate equipment. He needs to be fired. On a positive note there are other very pleasant people that work there that expressed concern when I mentioned to inadequacies
Don’t even waste your time, Tommy’s is better and cheaper! BEWARE! This incident originally happened back in January but it is now May and still nothing has been done nor has there been any communication. The regional manager evaluated the vehicle back in February and said he would be in touch but has not. I texted him twice in March and once in May and have yet to receive any sort of response. Extremely unprofessional! This company does not take damage claims seriously nor will they act on them. I wasn’t looking for anything unreasonable just to have the paint fixed where it was damaged on the side of the car. Never will I ever use this carwash or any Rainstorm ever again and I’ve already advised anyone looking for a car wash to go to Tommy’s. It’s way better and costs less and their vacuums actually work! (something that Rainstorm always seemed to have an issue with).
I bought a month car pass. I’ll keep you updated! I have a Honda Civic coupe and the wash missing the little window driver/passenger?

My finial thoughts of one month of car wash:
The timeline is so tight of each stage of the car wash. Possibly of not getting what you payed for. It’s new technology: I’m not buying it!!! Most of all wash finial rinse sucks! The chemicals get blown off versus rinsed off! Water spots! Chemical spots?
I always see workers doing their jobs….if my vacuum doesn’t work they are right their. I never have a problem when I come to clean my car. Wish I could own 1 just like it!!!! I would refer anyone to Rainstorm Car Wash….
