  1. This place is really great! They have cute designer breed dogs for great prices and really great finance options. I got my Maltese and Yorkie mixed here today and they are friendly and helpful and gives you so much pet stuff to go home with! Really amazing place.

  2. We have been looking for a miniature schnauzer for over a year and we’re thrilled to finally find the perfect girl! Jocelyn was AWESOME in helping us get things taken care of over the phone before we drove to the store and the process once there was very easy. You get so much for the cost and we are thrilled with our new little love!

  4. We found the sweet and clever little yorkie boy here. He had been there a while due to an undescended teste, so he was already 4 months old. They gave a very appropriate discount considering the surgery he would inevitably need to remove the teste. We returned 2 months later (he goes everywhere with me) and the employees remembered everything about him! Not surprisingly, our little guy remembered them too. He was so excited to see them! They gave us some treats before he left. Then, we walked down the hall and he went nuts when he saw one of the employees that also worked part time at another store. She happened to be at the entrance of the other store and immediately recognized him! It was a sweet reunion. Thank you so much for uniting me with the little love of my life, Sir Dittymus ❤️

  5. Wish I could give negative stars. What a joke. The tall male employee was wonderful, the young lady that “helped” us was terrible. We asked to see a puppy, and the response we got was “do you just want to play with it? or do you actually have questions”. I told her I have many questions. She gave the puppy to my daughter and instructed us to go to the play room, she came back, threw a toy in the room and walked away. She never returned to answer any of my questions. Stood by her co-workers and was playing on her phone the entire time. We put the puppy back, and continued to browse. Eventually, my 16 year old daughter asked me if we could leave, because the lady who “helped” us, wouldn’t stop staring at her. Definitely not sales people, and are more concerned with their phones rather than working. I guess they don’t work on commission. Again, the tall male that works there was awesome, he was very engaged with other customers and the puppies.

    The cleaning supplies section is way too small for that size of store. The variety of collars and leashes is nearly half of what it was a couple of years ago. Food and treat selection is great. I’m happy to see American made brands and less processed foods. Rewards are only worth it if you make purchases regularly. Needs better selection on non food items but overall pretty decent store.

    Friendly atmosphere. Prices are right because you get what you pay for 🙂 if your looking for cheaper dollar tree have something I’m sure. But there’s quality here and help where you need it , if you need it 🙂 They also didn’t follow me around or bother me l, Wich some might find extremely comfortable:) ( they let me pet their training dog and he was VERY attentive 🙂 Good staff as well.

    It’s definitely a clean store and dog friendly with a caveat. Just because your dog is well-behaved doesn’t mean that others have a clue. When I visited, it was a free-for-all with a wild poodle challenging his owner and a little wiener dog growling at everyone. Good place to take your dog if you want to make sure they can handle chaos. Didn’t have the brand of dog food that I wanted, but the treat selection was excellent, and my little pomsky appeared approving. Staff working was kind and helpful.

    The store is great with a wide variety, gets a 3 star only because as I walked outta the store someone was trying to break into my car. I’d like to see Rockford have better police patrols through business lots to keep customers safe along with staff.

    Sam the manager is super rude! I called Petco in Rockford Saturday night and talked to a nice lady about if the had any male cumberland turtles she said yes they have 6 turtles and someone could tell me witch ones are male when I get there. Sunday I got up and drove 40min to purchase the turtle. I met with Sam and said I would like to purchase a male turtle to go with my 2 female turtles I had purchased at Dekalb IL. weeks prior. She was rude and told me she couldn’t tell me anything about the turtles it wasn’t aloud, So I Google it and picked out the one I want to then be told I couldn’t purchase it because I was going to put it outdoors in my fenced in pond. I showed her a picture of the fenced in pond and my other two turtles. She just got ruder.! The crazy thing is a fenced in pond isn’t okay but they have 6 5inch turtle in one aquarium.

    This location also always has whatever I need at a great price. The staff and parking are great to be in and out. Highly recommend for dog food, cat food, cat litter, lizard supplies, etc Adrianne is one of the best of the best groomers. She’s a manager who makes sure not only your dogs are well groomed but the employees learn as well. At least, I can say this about this location and we don’t go anywhere else.

    Great customer service. I used to avoid Petco because I always thought they were more expensive than PetSmart, but I’ve changed my ways. They have a great selection of high quality food brands. Their return policy is very “picky pet” friendly.

    I went to petco and found a ferret I really liked and was interested in buying him. I wanted to see him out the the enclosure either by me holding him or a staff member holding him so I could see if he would be a good match with my other ferrets. I tried asking two people about this ferret the first time I was ignored and the second time I tried asking someone he did not even acknowledge I was there and tried ignoring me, and then when he did finally answered it was a rude and snotty response.

    I wouldn’t bring my animals there EVER!!! I tried to buy products for my 55 and 30 gallon aquariums but every time they are out of the food or chemicals!! I have only been able to buy fish 2xs and both times they died within 2 days!! The tanks are dirty. The floors are dirty!! I have given them 4 chances NEVER AGAIN
