- Reviews:Just adopted two Guinea pigs from here. Three stars for the guy who seemed to be trying to genuinely provide helpful service, however there is clearly lack of knowledge and training on proper animal handling because when he finally went to get them out of their cage for me it was such an aggressive and terrifying experience to watch and certainly for the poor piggies. The employee named Rose wanted to appear as an animal expert but really just comes off as arrogant and gives out incorrect information. She told me my Guinea pigs need alfalfa hay for at least 6 months (?) when in reality they shouldn’t even eat it because it’s too high in protein and calcium. Glad I know better to do my own research. The cages these animals are kept in are sadly small, and I’m thankful I rescued these piggies and we never have to go back.By Crystal Schneider (3 weeks ago)I just took my Bernese Mountain Dog here, and he had a full bath + extra brushing with Christina. She did an AMAZING job, he was incredibly soft and no hair tufts just randomly falling out all over my floor. Will be bringing him back to her for sure! ????????By Grace Cooke (3 weeks ago)If I could rate negative stars I would. They treat not only the fish like garbage but the customers as well. They had a buy two get one half off sale posted in front of the products and as soon as I grabbed the product off the shelf the employee came over and ripped the sale sign off and said sorry you missed it. They abuse the fish and your wallet. Go to your local pet store instead. Don’t support these chain pet stores.By Hayden Wheeler (a month ago)After trying to make an appointment online and trying to contact the Lansing store by phone for almost a year, i was able to get an appointment. When i got to the store found out that Petco cleaned up by getting rid of their best groomer which was Jennie. Jennie had been taking care of my dog Leila for over 2 years. She loved Leila, never had a problem with her. I dropped off my dog and hours later the groomer, which i forgot her name, told me i needed to pick up my dog, she said she was only able to do 75% of the job because when she tried to groom her face, Leila tried to nick her. My dog didn’t look so bad and i told her she did a good job, but my problem is that this girl literally told me not to bring Leila back and that she was going to, i guess put something in the computer to that effect. So, these people fire their best groomer, and they expect a dog that has had the same groomer for the past 2 1/2 years to just get used to the next person, wont even give them a chance to get comfortable again, I don’t get it. So, now I’m left with trying to find a groomer because this girl blacklisted my dog. She gave me a number to another groomer and sent me on my way.By Ana Lacayo (a week ago)I’ve had good experiences there in the past so maybe this visit was a fluke but prices were not clearly marked, the selection of cat litter boxes was relatively small, and they only had one checkout lane open. I will visit them again but they’re no longer my first choice.By Eric Brockway (Bruke) (2 months ago)

We live an hour and a half away, but love coming to this store. We easily spend two hours here every time. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I was even able to find food for my allergy ridden kitty. Win win all around.
This was such a fun place to visit! The workers were super friendly and helpful, and they seemed to really enjoying showing my family all of their neat animals. I’m so glad we took the time to visit here.
Absolutely love the place and will go back. We have to get our Axolotl. We were very fortunate to have help from Rick himself. We learned alot about our pond and bought cattails very excited to plant in the pond. Also we added everything to have an Axolotl. Not only was it was nice to Rick, his staff was amazing!!!! Thank you for a great experience

I visited this establishment with some dear friends. After driving up for an hour I was able to make friends with a fish who also gets stressed out after being antagonized. Fortunately Lori was not there. I was slightly concerned with the sign on the restroom telling me I was on camera, but I guess if they want an extra stream of revenue I can appreciate the endeavor. It’s been a while but that’s also how I paid for college. I found these scrumptious looking treats for my granddogs from an company called “raw dog” I’m sure they will absolutely love them!
Came from out of town on a road trip to visit this place and the zoo in Lansing. My boyfriend and I loved it! They have a great selection of nearly everything, and I truly enjoying wandering around and looking at everything. I’d love to see them stray away from using wire wheels with the small mammals and rodents soon, as those wheels can catch small toes and feet and can cause injuries. Other than that, I think the place is great! 🙂 I got some cool bioactive supplies that I’m excited to use on a terrarium that I’m redoing for my crested gecko!
