  1. The staff here is wonderful. As someone who has been to a few dermatologists in the area, this was the first time I felt listened to and felt like me, the doctor and the medical assistant were on the same team. They listened to my issues with my skin and helped me put together a plan to tackle my acne and I already feel much better! I would highly recommend SkinDC and Dr. Kalen!

  2. First time going to SkinDC and it was a great experience. Staff was professional, attentive and quick. Unlike the standard doctors office experience where you show up on time and still need to wait ~10-20+ minutes to be taken to a private room and then wait more for the doctor to show up, here I walked in and filled out the first time visit forms. Within a few minutes of completing that, I was taken to the private room and walked through a few questions with the doctor’s assistant. Then probably 2-3 minutes later, the doctor showed up to do the exam and that was it.

  3. 2 stars because the lady at the front that helped me check in was friendly and helpful. Made a medical dermatology appointment to treat some redness and itchy skin on my face and scalp. I have had this problem for majority of my life but haven’t been to a dermatologist in years. I don’t remember the name of the MA that took me back but I definitely felt rushed going over my medical history and questionnaire. I then met with the doctor, Dr. Kalen, and I felt even more rushed. I was wearing a mask and it wasn’t until I asked about cosmetic derm that she asked me to lower my mask to look at my face. She never even looked at or assessed my scalp. I get it that my condition might be ordinary but at least make your patients feel validated and heard. She was literally in the room with me for less than 5 minutes. It’s been about a month since I was there and I’m just now leaving the review because I wanted to see if the medication she prescribed me was helpful at least and it really hasn’t been. I’ve been following the recommended treatment and my symptoms haven’t subsided more than just using over the counter steroid cream. I’m an RN myself and this experience has definitely solidified how important it is to take the time to listen to my patients. I hope I never make them feel this way. Definitely won’t be back.

  4. I had a procedure done with Dr. Keaney, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I wish I could remembered the nurses names that assisted him during the procedure, but they were outstanding as well.

    From my consultation, with Nicole, to scheduling my appointment with Marcie, I can’t find anything negative to say about this practice. Although it is too early to see my results, I must leave a review about the experience for anyone who is considering going to SkinDC.

    The office is beautiful and well decorated, and the procedure rooms were clean and immaculate. The staff made sure everything was sterile and I was comfortable the whole time. The nurses talked to me and played music to keep me calm. I truly appreciate every single person that was in the room. I must say again, couldn’t be more satisfied.

  5. First and foremost, I was extremely impressed with Nicole’s professionalism and expertise in the field of laser hair removal. She took the time to explain the entire process to me in detail, including what to expect during the procedure and how to care for my skin afterwards. During the procedure itself, Nicole is very thorough and attentive. She makes sure to ask me if I am experiencing any discomfort or pain and keeps me talking and distracted the whole time. I can tell that she truly cares about making the process as enjoyable as possible!
    I am currently doing my legs and underarms and the results have been AMAZING! I used to get a ton on ingrown hairs in my legs and they are now completely gone! I don’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to frantically scratch my legs anymore. I have told her multiple times she has changed by life, and I truly mean it.

    Overall, I would highly recommend Nicole to anyone in need of laser hair removal services. Thank you, Nicole, for a wonderful experience!

    My husband has been going there for the past 2 years. From the first time we stepped foot in there to our last visit this past weekend, they are always kind and welcoming. They provide great customer service and the tattoo removal services they provide are the best. Tattoos are going away! Carmen is the technician who has done the tattoo removal and she is great!!     I cannot say enough about Zapatat. The owner Chris and his employees made me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I walked in. Carly spent so much time explaining the process and making sure I was comfortable. For the actual procedure, they talked me through it, made me laugh and although it sounds weird, I really enjoyed myself. I would give them way more stars then 5 if I could!!!

    Went here for a consult/tattoo removal because of the reviews and location compared to another place I’d been for removal. I spent 2+ hours there for a consultation (way longer than expected). 20-30 minutes of it was the guy bashing the techniques/machines used by the other place I’d been going to. I bought a ‘buy two get one free’ package, and when I called back for my next appointment, I found out that I purchased two ‘passes’ used in the same appointment, and I’d have to pay more. That is definitely not how it was explained to me. My appointment cost more, and my tattoo fade was the same as the other place. No thanks.

    I came in as a customer who was originally seen at untattoo u. I hadn’t had a treatment in over 3 years (prior to Covid). I went to removery for my final treatment and there was a bit of confusion regarding my package. Gina and Amy were so accommodating and responded quickly and fairly to resolve the issue.     I’ve put off removing three of my tattoos for years because of how difficult it is to find a judgment-free enviornment. “You’ll regret them when you’re older” is phrase everyone with a tattoo has heard. I didn’t want to endure sessions of silent I-Told-You-Sos, especially when the decision to get and remove them is extremely personal. The atmosphere at Removery is incredibly welcoming. No one looks forward to cosmetic procedures, but I’m glad I’m receiving mine at a place that’ll make the experience as comfortable as possible.
