- Reviews:Hi. Brian Wear plumbing put in a gas line for a gas stove in a kitchen remodel. They were quick, explained the process and issues clearly. Arrived on time, we’re neat and thorough and reviewed everything before they left. Finding good service is not always easy. These folks are great. I highly recommend them.By Johanna Bishop (5 months ago)Brian Wear Plumbing exceeded my expectations. The requested service was for a blocked drain. They responded promptly the next day and after diagnosing the problem they presented an acceptable quote and got right to work. Very efficiently, and cautiously, the blockage was repaired, checked to see all was working perfectly, then everything was cleaned up. The price was reasonable for the high quality of service provided. Their customer focus and consideration was exceptional! I have already recommended them to my daughter and one neighbor.By David Berger (6 months ago)Professional, courteous and did a thorough job. Made sure what was accomplished was what I expected. Answered all my questions. Was very cost conscious and provided a great solution at a reasonable cost. Made an extra purchase and it was delivered that same afternoon also by a friendly staff member. When I made the request for service I was so pleased how the staff member making the appointment evaluated my need and responded so beautifully to my situation.By Karen Neely (6 months ago)Water heater problem, slow leak in apartment. BJ and crew came to evaluate it, discussed choices and cost of new parts. We decided the best choice was a new water heater. Installation is picture-perfect! Renter even commented on how good the new one looks. We appreciate Brian Wear Plumbing always being quick to respond and look at the problem. We don’t mind waiting a couple of days over a weekend for a new water heater, knowing they were juggling work for others with major leaks. We’ve been using their services for years and have never been disappointed with their crew.By Jacquelynn Ballew (a month ago)Brian Wear Plumbing fit me into their schedule when I had a leak. They were responsive w great communication! Billy was extremely professional and located a problem I didnt realize was related to plumbing. He was fast, kind and did a great job! - Reviews:I called early morning to see if they could come out and snake a clog under my basement floor. Although my husband and I are not incapable of fixing minor repairs this clog was beyond our abilities. The receptionist was friendly knowledgeable and assured me someone would be here after 12 and before 3. Beth call about 1 and told me the tech was on his way. James showed up just a few minutes later. He was the epitome of professional, polite knowledgeable. In less than 30 minutes he had the pesky blockage broken free. Then spent a few minutes to answer preventative care and explain the warranty that came with his service. The price was a little steep for our pocketbook as we are on a fixed income but not unreasonable. When we call for our preventative maintenance we will be asking for JamesBy Dee Clark (6 months ago)When a drain isn’t working you really want someone who can show up and get the job done. Our experience with Levi G. was fantastic! He worked hard to make sure we were ready to go and able to flush, wash clothes, and take showers. We really appreciate the ability to have service that doesn’t have an extra charge for after 5!By Susan Matthews (a month ago)This crew deserves 10 stars!!! Jimmy, Ian and Tim were absolute life savers on Christmas Eve after we had two pipes burst after the freeze. They were quick to complete the job and were kind in the process. We required restoration and clean up and they were effecient with this step as well. Ian did an excellent job explaining the process and even checked on us after everything was set up. I can not thank them enough for everything they did for us. They helped save Christmas!By Stephanie Parsons (4 months ago)Landon was professional and efficient. I would highly recommend him and I appreciate Floyd honoring customer expectation for quality service delivery (this was a return visit within a week after initial service).By Kim Kimminau (3 months ago)Had an emergency plumbing issue so we had to turn off the water to the whole house so I called the 24hr hotline and was told someone would contact me and come and check out my problem. I called them at 7:00pm. It is now 11:00pm and nobody has reached out. I ended up having to contact another 24 hr plumber and they promptly responded. The date would have been on 2/24/23 not 2/25/23. And yes I am positive I called you.By Ellen Carnell (2 months ago)

These guys were great. Our tech, Nathan Rob, went above and beyond to give us a fair & competitive estimate, delivered timely and impeccable service and checked in after repairs were done, to make sure everything was running good. We had a major sewer line replacement and had to deal with several different contractors. I wish I had know the possibilities of the extent of damage up front because I would have used MasterTech to complete the entire repair, instead of the multiple contractors that I used. The first contractors I used didn’t have enough experience to complete the job from beginning to end and MasterTech did. Next time, they will be the first people I call.
We had our sewer line replaced by Mastertech. A couple techs there are nice enough, and hopefully the plumbing works. They removed a fence post to access our yard, which we consented to presuming it would be returned to its original working order. Unfortunately, the best they could do was sort of prop it in a hole with a rock against it. Without being re-set, it is easily moveable in any direction, leaving it and the attached fence and gate completely unstable. For a few days, I was assured they’d be getting right to it, but then there were excuses and a sneaky swing by our house so they could say they’d been there. In the end, they actually did nothing, and the project lead said he was unable and unwilling to reset the post. Obviously no one cares to provide actual customer service or resolve the issue. I was told over a week ago that things were getting passed to a general manager, but haven’t heard anything from anyone. Accounting seems to be working great though – they deposited our $6000 check immediately. Fence fix was $275 to another business. Everyone we’ve talked to has said they aren’t surprised to hear this from Mastertech – they’re a big business with big advertising, and they have nice techs come do indoor work. But for a large outdoor project, they didn’t deliver the quality of work, respect for our property, or customer service we expected at all.
We own a home built in 1880. The sewer problem was located beneath a brick fireplace a few feet away from the city alley. It would have been easier to dig in from the alley, but it would have doubled the repair cost! The tech team (Nathan,Chris, and Fletcher) were determined to keep out of the alley and save us the extra expense!
Upon toppling the fireplace they discovered it was resting upon a 5’x5’x28” cube (or larger) of concrete that would not budge
On day 2 they began work around 9 am. It took nearly 3 hours of jackhammering to finally break the monstrosity apart and gain access to the collapsed pipe below.
By 3 pm the sewer line was repaired!!! Way to go, Fletcher!!
These guys deserve every dollar it cost us! They were ever so patient as I hovered over them the entire time photo-journaling their work! Can’t praise this team enough!!
We are only moderately satisfied after some problems with our plumbing weren’t fixed during the repair. A liner was installed in our sewer connection in order to prevent root intrusion. However during the liner installation they discovered that there was root intrusion just beyond the area that they had planned to install the liner. At this point, after having our yard dug up, they have proposed jackhammering concrete in our basement in order to repair this area, which could have more easily been repaired while the trench in the front yard was still open. The proposed charge for the jackhammer repair is a significant amount of money beyond the already significant expense of the original repair. We asked if they would be willing to reduce the fee for this original repair and we have not heard back in 2 weeks. At this point we are several thousand dollars into a repair that we hoped would provide reliable use of our sewer, but we are anticipating continuing to need regular drain auger services to remove roots.
To their credit, MasterTech provided us with the information about the additional roots rather than keeping quiet and letting us discover it on our own. Generally I believe that they were honest and straightforward and that they intended to do a good job, however we continue to be left holding the bag in a situation that I believe was an honest mistake on their part.
MasterTech does all of our plumbing and HVAC work and has for years because they always do a great job. Most recently, we had a horribly clogged toilet that we could not fix ourselves; they took care of that and checked other issues as long as they were at the house. All of their people are excellent and we always know we can count on them.
