  1. I don’t typically write reviews, just select the stars and move on. I felt compelled to write a review this time. John and Moses were on time and very friendly when they arrived. Set up the work area which stayed neat and orderly. The reason I felt compelled to write this review is because at the start of the process it was communicated this project would not be done in the day timeline promised. This was beyond disappointing and frustrating which I vocalized strongly to the site manager who came to check in and seemed passive at my concern. Now my review is not to complain, however, it is to commend the extremely hard work that John and his team did to make the project come in on time. John and Moses and the crew who came to my home worked so hard and diligently. They were professional and friendly throughout the day as I asked questions and nervously paced around the basement. Despite a few hiccups thrown at the end of the process John, Moses and I believe Ed was his name were able to get my furnace installed and running for my family. I know they stayed way beyond what was expected and sacrificed some likely family or personal time. I want to say it was their work ethic and demeanor and just overall attitude that changed my frustration to satisfaction. I am extremely grateful to them for going above and beyond to complete this project.

  2. I give them props for coming out quickly, but follow-through is not great. I paid over $100 for same day service because out heating system wasn’t working. The tech thought it was 2 pieces that was going to cost $2700 and wasn’t 100% guaranteed to fix the problem. We decided to replace the whole furnace on our brand new house and scheduled that for 10/27. Guys came in on 10/27 replaced the whole unit and it seemed like it worked just fine. It was hot and noticed our AC stopped working after a couple days with the warmer weather, but we decided to check to make sure the heater was working and it wasn’t!! H&D came back out 11/8 to find out that the one piece they put on was filling with water, but not emptying and it triggered a switch to shut off. Tech left and said they would come back with a new piece the next day and they would contact us. No one called so I called and had to set up another appt for him to come back that day which was 11/9. I got a text from H&D saying the appt they made me for the day should be done sooner in the day rather than between 2-6 because the tech needs to contact tech support which can take a while. Well anyways tech came back and switched the part out, the unit began to work, but was only working for a few minutes and then shutting off, but by the time that was done tech support was closed. Tech stated the same thing about being contacted by them to have them back out, but we can’t constantly take off of work to be home for a problem that is not out fault. Not sure why these installs are not fully verified completely functional when done. Now I had to call back to have them come back tomorrow and have a family member be there because they can’t do this on a weekend. I am truly hoping this is 100% fixed by tomorrow especially with the colder temps these next fews days. I mean I did just spend $9350 on a new furnace install in my only 1 year old house and have actually purchased a new AC/Heating unit 4 years ago at the house we sold.

  3. We are seniors who found out during routine winter tune up that we needed new furnace. Had 1 company come said 2 weeks so friend told us they had great experience with Hurley. I filled out form on their website at 3:00 in morning. I got call 8:00 with choice of 3 times to come that day. Brandon came and was very professional. He measured house to be sure putting in right size furnace went the extra mile to explain each thing he did and was such a wonderful young man showing great patience with our questions. He could see I was under doctors care and my husband has Alzheimer’s and went out of his way to get heat for us as soon as possible. Using space heaters was ok on the warmer days but we were very cold at night and colder days. I would highly recommend you call Hurley for any heating and air conditioning. Even if you want second opinion be sure Hurley is part of your getting estimates. I took such a great sigh of relief and felt so comfortable dealing with Brandon. He is a great asset to this company. I can’t stress enough the difference between companies we talked to. I hope this helps someone in a similar situation as ours to get the best care possible.

  4. I called Hurley and David at 9:00 a.m. and they were able to schedule me the same day between times that were convenient for me. They called me 20 minutes before the tech would have arrive and also provided me with a photo of the tech and a snapshot of what to expect from him. Sam showed up on time not only looking professional but being professional and courteous explaining the process and what needed to be taken care of and also pointing out a couple other things that should be taken care of. We agreed on the repairs and Sam went right to work on the repair in a clean and efficient manner. I definitely recommend Hurley and David and Tech Sam to anyone needing their services. Thank you for a refreshing experience which is hard to find in the trades these days.

  5. From start to finish, my experience was excellent. Being able to make a same day appointment online was super helpful. I appreciated the call and text I received to let me know Nathan was on his way (loved getting his photo in the text so I knew who to expect). Nathan was great- we talked about what was going on and he took it from there. He kept me updated on how things were going and did a great job explaining it to someone with no idea about anything HVAC. My problem was fixed quickly and thankfully I now have plans to continue with routine maintenance to keep things in order. Nathan was excellent and I will certainly continue to use (and recommend) your company for any issues in the future. Thanks for the help!!

    Kit showed up within a hour of me calling and was able to work with me on pricing. He continued to work for a couple hours even after the drains appeared to be cleared because he wanted to be sure I wouldn’t soon have a problem again. He made an absolute mess of my bathroom, but when he left it was cleaner than when he arrived. He left a pipe protection solution for preventative maintenance of the drain. I can’t think of anything else he could have done better.

    Right after the Christmas Holiday my kitchen sink backed up and I realized I needed professionals. Within a few hours they came out others were days out. Very polite and professional. I will say I was absolutely shocked by how much money it was just under $700 for less than 20 minutes of work. He took apart the pipe cleared the clog with a gloved hand from the p-trap, didn’t even snake it reattached everything. Poured the “enzyme liquid” down the drain and was done. For an emergency or time sensitive occasion they were great but definitely felt the pricing was taking advantage.

    The response from the customer service to dispatch communication was great. The plumber that came to my door was cordial very professional and informed about the field of plumbing. He took his time to explain all options, assessing the situation and giving me the most cost effective options to the most expensive. I respected the fact that I felt that I was not being taken advantage of. The transaction was honest and informative. I truly recommend Roto Rooter and it’s staff to anyone.     My technician, Adam, did a FANTASTIC job. He cleared the sewer line from my house all the way to the city sewer connector, and also sent a camera down to examine the interior. He also popped open the manhole cover in the street to inspect the city sewer line and to make sure waste water was flowing properly. From his work, I have a good set of questions for contacting my city’s DPW to figure out who is responsible for keeping the lines clear so that I don’t have any more sewer back ups. Adam was smart, professional, and all around great to work with. Thank you, Adam!

    My 73 year old Vietnam veteran father called for services and within 30 minutes, Adam had arrived to save the day. Not only was he professional, helpful, kind and funny. Made the experience much more bareable. Adam also explained the process that would take place , step by step in terms the average folk would understand.     I highly recommend! If you are looking for old fashioned KNOWLEDGE, ADVICE, and SERVICE along with QUALITY PRODUCTS this is the place to go! If you are just shopping for price and don’t care about quality or service then this may not be the place for you…but beware, you get what you pay for. Here you’ll find genuine products (NOT Home Cheapo or Lowes versions which are built with lower quality parts to hit a price point). I would have paid double what we paid today for the service we received. Our experience today with Olga was exceptional. She answered all our questions, gave great advice, and helped us find complimentary items for our new kitchen and bath. Wish we came here months ago, but so very happy we did now….and we’ll definitely be back again!

    Customer service is a real problem. The showroom takes days to call you back on a simple question about stocked items, then they don’t even have prices ready for you. I couldn’t be anymore friendly with the lady on the phone and I was talked down to like I’m in idiot . Okie dokie Been going for 15 years. See ya around
