in the last weekKroger stopped caring all together. No matter the location, it’s always been bad but this location is the worst. I went shopping 09/07 for a few items. I approached the seafood counter and the meat clerk was extremely rude. I was nice to her and even wished her a good day. It seems like they have an issue hiring, whether that’s staffing and retaining. Clearly they just hire anyone. I asked for 12 oz of salmon and she couldn’t get to 12 oz, when I got home and checked she gave me 6 oz. She became upset when I asked her to skin it for me. I’m sorry you don’t want to do this but that doesn’t gives you the right to be rude. I also noticed that the toothpaste I bought had a large hole!! I will be retuning as that is potential dangerous. You can really tell how much they care by the quietly of the inventory and the customer service everyone receives. That and the fact that no one responds to the reviews. I cannot wait for HEB and target. Hopefully this place goes out of business.a week agoStore is always extremely dirty. Food spilled in the aisles every visit. Parking lot is always dirty and carts all over the lot. Lines backed up at self checkout and the computer always stops scanning and have to wait for what seems to be the only employee in the store forever to unlock the computer to scan another item only for it to stop again. We’ve purchased salmon and had to throw it out because it was bad. Beef is brown and always seems to expire the next day. The store always has a foul odor. It’s unfortunate. We are now driving 25 minutes to HEB. I will be ready when HEB opens closer and Target.a week agoThis Kroger has just completely hit rock bottom. The checkout is always a mess. They usually have one checker without a bagger and everyone else is stuck checking their self out in lines that get backed up 15-20 people. Once you get to the front and finish checking your groceries out, the lovely “help is on the way” sign pops up. But you can rest assured that help is not on the way. There is usually one agent working about 12 self checkout lines. The most irritating part of the experience is the “customer service” lady who is always working the counter. She is always rude and always has an attitude. It makes no difference how kindly you approach her. You will be told to shut up and wait your turn. And then she will tell you how bad her day has been and how you shouldn’t be complaining. Not exactly the ideal customer service agent.We’ve been customers since the day they opened so I hate seeing this decline. But it’s time to switch to H-E-B.
a month agoNot a family-friendly shopping experience. Being in the heart of rapidly growing family communities, waiting in long self checkout lines to bag your own groceries is not customer-centric.Needing a Kroger card, an app, and digital coupons in order to get an advertised price is not customer-centric.
Waiting in long lines at the deli with too few workers is not customer-centric.
It is sad to hear employees have had access to only one female restroom for several weeks.
The convenience of their location and friendly employees are bright spots in an otherwise dismal shopping experience.
3 months agoThis was an ok store when it first opened in the “honeymoon phase” with the town… clean… plenty of checkouts and baggers. Today it’s completely slumlorded in comparison. Dirty, almost all self checkout (I want a discount if I’m forced to work there!!!) Constant backed up lines. The parking lot is ALWAYS disgusting.This is NOT what we expect in Prosper.
HIRE MORE PEOPLE AND PAY THEM ENOUGH TO STAY!!! Poor management, quit focusing on max profitability, you’re sacrificing service which will lead to losing business.

One of the better Kroger stores in the area. They must have an excellent inventory management system because they always have what I’m looking for. (Other Kroger stores in the area are almost always sold out on at least one item, often more, and I’m talking staples, nothing unusual). For me, this is a great upper middle tier grocery store.
This is the worst grocery store I’ve ever been in. Long lines to check out, mostly self-serve check out is the only thing open, and the scanners are so dirty that they don’t work properly. the sale prices they advertise half the time are for digital coupons. You have to have the Kroger app, you have to be able to go and find a digital coupon but unfortunately either app doesn’t work or their Internet is pour in the store. You can tell the employees are miserable and there’s never any management. Today the customer service desk was closed and no employees inside to help when the registers overcharge. When HEB opens up this place will be out of business.
If you’re looking to catch food poisoning, you will find it here. I don’t know how this place is still in business. We’ve been sold bad meat, molded bagels, and once again your refrigerators are disgusting. There is no excuse for this. You’re playing with the health and safety of others and this is not okay.
I think this store is trying to get out of their lease. If they can get nothing but one star reviews, maybe they can break their lease? Leave and not have to be here. I don’t know what other reason there would be. Whoever the district manager is should be fired for not firing the store manager. The store manager should be fired for not firing the assistant managers. You know what rolls downhill… And nobody has done anything the correct the problem. This store is garbage. There are about 10 self-checkouts, and it takes an hour to check out with two dozen items and nobody in line in front of you.
