- Reviews:I had Maitz Home Services come to my home on 1/26/22. My husband and I were unable to remove the water filter to put a new one on. We had our own water filter mind you. 2 guys showed up and told me the total bill with the $89 service fee would be $179 – kind of pricey but we needed it done and to be shown what we were doing wrong so we could replace the water filter in the future. The filter housing is easily accessible (see photo). While they were here the 2 guys were saying things like they must have money, this house is pretty new, guessing at how much land we have. So when I got charged an extra $110 – a total of $268 for 10 minutes of work it really felt like a scam. I will never use Maitz again & I intended to tell everyone I know what frauds they are. You don’t charge people based off of what you think they have! Honor your pricing!! The price was about the same as the other estimates I received, but Maitz had the best guarantee/warranty by far! They are very reasonably priced and won’t try to oversell you. Our sales person, Jim P., has been great from start to finish. Our new furnace and AC was installed within 3 or 4 days of Jim coming to our home for the quote. Techs were prompt, friendly, and efficient. A big job was done in 1.5 days. They left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived! When I needed a more detailed invoice months after installation to apply for a rebate, Maitz was prompt and helpful. Jim even called me personally within 24 hours of my call to make sure I got what I needed. Can’t recommend enough. - Reviews:Elek plumbing is a fantastic business. Ed was our main contractor and a fellow contractor Chris helped out in the meantime. Both of them were exceptionally friendly and were very friendly with our beagle which was wonderful. They were prompt and efficient with the removal and installation of our tub and shower. They were completely okay with my husband watching what they were doing and did a 110% job for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend to anyone. Schuler helped us in a time of crisis when our basement was leaking. We found out it was a leak in the main water line outside of the house. We called the emergency line late at night and had an evaluation the very next day along with an estimate. 2 days later Schuler had all the needed permits to dig up our front lawn and replace the main water line pipe. The work was done the same day. There is a fee for the estimate and evaluation.
My father in law is a master plumber in NYC so we did have him review the quote for us and although it was costly, he said it was in line for the work needed. Most reviews don’t like the cost but for trade work like this, at least they know their worth.
We found 2 drips (very small) 2 days after the work was done, that were not previously there. We called over the weekend and got serviced early on Monday, both drips fixed with no charge. All that is left is for them to come back and re-seed the front lawn once the weather permits for grass seed to be planted. I appreciate they also provide this service and look forward to working with them again.

The waste water trap in my basement rusted through and was leaking badly. I contacted Schuler in late morning on Tuesday and that afternoon Brian Dreisigmeyer arrived and assessed the situation. He was able to slow the leak to where it was manageable. He returned on Wednesday and repaired the line.
Brian is an excellent representative of your company. From the moment he arrived to access my problem to the handshake as he was leaving by he was top notch. He was polite and courteous the entire time he was here. His young helper Matt was also very nice and professional.

On the day of my appointment, I was provided with an informative bio of my technician (including a photo) and a estimate of his arrival time. The tech arrived right on time, was respectful of my home, took time to fully understand my problems, and then provided a thoughtful estimate complete with pricing on several options. Once I made my decisions, he went to work, diligently solving my issues while keeping me informed of any detours along the way. He was professional throughout and I always felt confident in his ability to get the job done right.
I would highly recommend Schuler, and feel relieved to have found a plumbing contractor that I can rely on for future projects in my home.
Had a toilet overflow at night and found Schuler Service online given the 24/7 service. Intake was fast and easy, they told us we were the next job and wait would be 2 hours. Our tech was Jason Sabin and he came in 1 hour. He was super professional, knew exactly what to do and did it fast. He answered all our questions and was just super easy to talk to. While he could not fix our problem for long term (issue for another company) he gave us tips on how to prevent other issues until the other company could come. Extremely grateful for a fast and reliable service and for Jason who was phenomenal!
Deron was very knowledgeable and took time to talk everything over with me. He was very efficient and courteous. I had a dripping sink that had to be replaced and a toilet handle that wasn’t working properly. The sink was replaced and the handle works perfectly now. Will definitely request him for next time.
