What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Love this store! I was in this area for another reason and stumbled across this store. I decided to stop as I had planned to stop by one anyone. I was amazed by the size of this store compared to the ones in the neighborhoods nearby and my shopping experience here….totally different.

They have everything! Including a Starbucks! They have a huge selection of items/products to choose from. Including some items that I have been looking for at the one closest to my location (visiting from out of town) and have not been able to find. Store is clean and staff very helpful.

I would have rated them higher but I bought a package of chicken to cook for dinner and it turned out to be bad. I didn’t bother returning it as it was only a few bucks and wasn’t worth the drive. I will shop here again. But, will probably NOT purchase any meat.

  2. I am sick and tired of Kroger ripping off its customers!
Kroger doesn’t offer fuel points for its own Kroger brand gift cards. I found this out the hard way when I bought a Kroger Store gift card and when I checked my receipt I didn’t see my fuel points. When I asked the folks and customer service they said that Kroger doesn’t offer fuel points for its own Kroger Store gift cards. What! 🤨 I then showed them that their own display says that you get two times fuel points for the cards in the display (see the photos I’ve posted). 🤥🤥🤥 That was February 28th, 2023. As of this posting on April 25th 2023 Kroger has not changed this display. Most people probably aren’t checking their receipts and thinking that they’re getting 2× fuel points for purchasing Kroger Store gift cards when they’re getting none!
Come on guys! You already make us hunt and peck to clip digital coupons rather than just automatically loading them to our Kroger cards. Complete waste of our time! Kroger knows that most people won’t make the hassle going through the hundreds and hundreds of coupons each week. Who’s got the time in their busy daily schedules for that?!
Kroger you have to do better!

  3. 4pm on a Monday afternoon and only one lane that’s not self checkout is open. 10-15 people in line with carts full of groceries waiting on one cashier. However, each self checkout was double manned with no line or wait. I went to self checkout where a young woman named Say was working and asked for a manager. She was resistant to getting a manager, tried to pass it off on another employee, and started laughing and smirking at me when I reiterated that I asked her to get a manager. The security guard came up to see what the problem was before a manager actually showed up. Once a manager did show up he said they had three people call out today and that’s why there was only one regular checkout lane open. Clearly, this Kroger doesn’t take the customer experience seriously. They’d rather operate with one cashier and both self checkout areas open than have cashiers to check out customers. I was here shopping for a delivery service and self checkout is not an option. I left the cart full of items that I already had shopped, I let the company I work for know about the issues, and I left. I will not return to this location for myself or anyone else because it is poorly staffed, clearly poorly managed, and they do not care about the customer experience. Unless this is your neighborhood grocery store I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Go to the Publix or the Wal-Mart down the street.

  4. This is supposed to be “Big” Kroger. There is no excuse for the lines to be seven deep or more in each of the self checkout lanes and only one manned cashier. Kroger. You can do better than this.

  5. What is happening at the North Decatur Rd location? I went into the store today and the 1st issue is the shopping carts. How is it that the carts are always outside!!! Why are they not collected and brought back in on an hourly schedule? Customers should not have to walk back out to the parking lot to retrieve a cart! This is ridiculous and happens more than not when ever I visit the store.
Once inside the store shelves were empty! From the deli department to the coffee creamer. This is my local Kroger and today the store didn’t have any of the items that I get time after time. So we know the staff were not busy stocking shelves so they should have had plenty of hands to collect the carts. I had to go down the street to Publixs to complete my grocery shopping.

Convenient and love earning fuel points. Disappointed that you can’t do the survey every 7 days even without a receipt like they used to let you do. Earning fuel points makes a big difference with the way fuel prices are now.

I love shopping here as I always save a great deal on groceries, etc. I use the Kroger app, digital coupons, fuel points, plus everyday savings from my rewards card. This is a great store with courteous, professional employees. Love it!

Lately the litter around Kroger is an issue. Inside and out. Also. They start stocking at 10 when store closes at 11. The stock people are rude. Blocking all the isles and having to push carts out of the way. Then they just stand there and look at you.

Their bathrooms always need attention. They looked fully staffed with plenty of personnel just standing around, so there is no excuse.

I want to thank these two associates, she works in the Deli and she was so professional and the young man went out his way to make sure I could find something in the store. I really appreciate great customer service, keep up the great work!

Due to the location, I do not think the experiences one has at this location will change. They will have the needed customers simply because of the location. This was my latest pleasant experience. At self checkout, the sale items I purchased did not ring up for the sale price. I raised my arm to ask for assistance from the person assisting those at self checkout. I told Tomika (your employee) what the sale price was and that the items were not ringing up correctly. She said, rudely, that she would go check. She returned and said the items were not on sale. I told her I would walk back with her to show her. (Since I doubted that she had time to go to the location and actually check) She said, “You want to speak to a manager?” I said yes. Another employee came to assist me. She and I walked to the items where she in fact did see that they were on sale, twirled herself around and slung her hair in my direction. All of this wasting my time and was obvious due to the lack of Tomika’s assistance. While the second employee was correcting the price, I said to Tomika, who was standing next to the register, that the items were on sale. I did this in hopes no other customer would have to deal with the issue. She slung her hair at me again while spinning around quickly. I asked the person correcting my order if she witnessed Tomika’s action. She said she did and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I mentioned that I thought she was a manager. She said she was a floor manager and wanted to know if I wanted to speak to THE MANAGER. I guess her being a floor manager it is not of her concern how Tomika was acting. I didn’t have time to wait and speak to a store manager, or I would have!!! She then told me that Tomika was leaving in a week. I assume she was telling me to be of some relief that she would not be working there, but I was only concerned with how I was being treated at the moment. I guess employees that are leaving have the ability to treat customers as they like.

I came by here they refused to let me in even though they didn’t close for 10 minutes. They were very rude about it also. There were several people still inside. I told them I just needed to grab a drink they still refused. I think that’s so rude. Maybe if the 5 employees standing at the door were working they could get people out faster and not turn away customers. I wasn’t the only one.

I don’t know what they’re going to need to do to attract some better staff for this location, but it just gets worse every time I go in there. I don’t know what they’re going to do this summer, since this is the closest location to most hotels & Air BNB locations. Nothing is stocked, the customer service desk refuses to do customer services (cash checks, bill pay, Western Union, etc) after letting a line of customers stretching through half the store wait 30 minutes, the staff is rude & untrained, and half the self checkouts are literally always broken or not in use.

This place has the worst customer service department I have ever seen in my life. 1 person has 2 speeds slow and slower. There is always a line there because of the inability of there customer service reps. Western is always down and they tell you after you have waited for 30 minutes in line. The customer service manager should be fired.
