What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Will definitely be taking my pooch somewhere else to get groomed. The first time I brought my dog here about 2-3 months ago was great! The gentleman took his time (a little over an hour because of my dogs breed) bathed, brushed, dried, did his nails and had him smelling wonderful. Even gave him a cute bandanna. All for only about $38.
Today however, the woman seemed to rush through it all. Had my dog done in 30 minutes. He was still very damp and stunk! The only good thing was his nails were done. And for $58!!!
If I’m going to be spending that much, I might as well take him to a pet spa.
AND…called this morning and scheduled a 12 o’clock appointment, only to be told once I got there (at 11:45) that it had been canceled and rescheduled for 12:30 by that same lady. Who does that?!

  2. Every time I go, they don’t have what I’m looking for (aquatic/reptile) and one item showed in stock online and when I went there, they said it wasn’t in stock so that was a little frustrating. It’s better to go to another store to get what I need or online. I can say they have quite a bit of fish and I got my pal from there last a year and half ago

  3. Lots of workers tooling about. Only 1 person checking people out with a long line and long wait.

    🙄 customers first???
    Does not seem that way.

    Great store?
    Yes.

    Clean and fairly stocked?
    Yes.

  4. Kassandra is absolutely amazing at grooming! She did exactly what I asked for with my mini schnauzer and he looks so good. She was so sweet and patient with him. Great work deserves praise so THANK YOU Kassandra, we will be back 🙂

  5. PetSmart exceeded my expectations! From the moment I entered with my adorable pup Max, I was greeted warmly by Sarah, who made us feel right at home. The dedication they show towards smaller Animal Rescues is truly remarkable. A heartfelt thank you to Sarah and the amazing staff at PetSmart! Will visit soon.

Shauna grooms our standard poodle, Zulu. Shauna is simply the best! Her undeniable grooming skills coupled with the best personality is what makes for a great experience every time. Thank you Shauna for taking care of this military family during our Hampton Roads tour. The Gardner Family is forever a fan.

Very impressed with this Petco. We moved from across the US and needed to get our pooches up to date on shots heartworm ..all that. Came into the store, was warmly acknowledged by the store employees. The gal who took our info for the vet visit was absolutely a joy! She made this process so much easier. And the ladies who took care of my Boo in the clinic were wonderful as well. Even the young man at check out register was very friendly too. Excellent experience !

Ashley needs to be fired, extremely rude to customers. Talked to me and my wife like as if we were children when we simply just needed help finding something. She was extremely rude to an elderly couple at the cash register before us. Definitely telling all my friends that Petsmart is the better option. Never coming here again for our pets needs.

The fish lady was pretty cool and very smart, but the store smelled weird

The staff were friendly and nice. We came to adopt a specific dog but he was not a good fit. We met with another dog who we agreed on mostly because we felt pushed to. We have had him for 6 months and has significant and costly problems I wish we were told about. It’s not like he was just found, his previous owners gave him up with papers. He has severe skin problems and will cost $400 monthly WITH INSURANCE COVERAGE!!!! He has also chewed up EVERYTHING in my house from clothes, cups, chairs, couch, TRASH CAN, the side of my cabinets, back porch, NOTHING IS SAFE! I work from home and got him training classes-nothing helps. The dog should have been listed as special needs since he requires expensive medicine monthly. He will also need anxiety medicine to help him calm down and not chew anything which will cost more on top of his skin medicine, injections and regular monthly costs like food, toys etc. It’s heartbreaking because he is a loving dog and my kids love him and it’s going to cause trauma when I have to give him back because they weren’t honest about his medical issues and the fact that everything I own would be destroyed. I just can’t afford $500+ on medicine a month. (and that’s WITH pet insurance.) If I was told he needed this I would never have gotten him.

We always support the local animal shelter. The staff lacks communication and organization between each other and volunteers. Paperwork was filled out multiple times and still needed to be redone because someone misplaced it. Calls were supposed to be made to us, but were not. We brought home 2 kittens and thought they were bonded and that we were being given a reduced price for getting 2. That being said since we budgeted a certain amount we decided to use the left over to purchase the over-priced toys, collars, and crate from the shelter so that we can continue to give them support. Almost a week later someone calls and says that they accidentally didn’t charge us for the second kitten (it was entered in as 0.00) and that we needed to pay . No. I’m sorry. I am not going to pay after the fact for your lack of communication and organization. We have a bill of sale that was paid in full for 2 kittens and extras. We shouldn’t have to pay for your mistake. It is a wonderful place and I always encourage people to support their local shelter, but please do better.

We’ve been to 4 shelters in the area now on our search for the right addition to our family, and this was the worst experience of all of them. The building is beautiful, but despite being so established, their system is a mess. Waited 3 hours for a meet and greet and ended up just leaving. The people next to us waited for just as long, just to be told the dog they were interested in wasn’t adoptable. All in all, waste of time. One room for meet and greets, bad communication, weird system.

I adopted my dog here 5 years ago. And it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I would definitely recommend rescuing any animal from here. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have.

Some of the staff members are racist, manipulative and liars. It’s a 100+ shelters I’ll support but never will I ever donate or try to adopt from this particular one. Staff members here only allow certain animals to adopted out by “certain” people. I’ve never seen so many “un-adoptable” pets in my life. Very crooked organization and the community needs to be aware of it.
