What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This is the first negative Google review I have ever written but I am so upset about the way my dog was groomed. I have a Havanese who went in for a trim and I don’t know what they did to him but I will let the pictures speak for themselves. The hair on his ears is supposed to stay long and they completely shaved it off and he looks ridiculous. I almost cried when I saw him.

  2. My dog went for her first appointment and got scared with other dogs there barking at her. The staff was so nice and friendly and offered me an appointment where not other dogs would be there so that we could have her groomed. The groomer Ashley was so kind with me and very patient and nice with my dog. It all worked out great and my dog looks and smells fantastic! I am so glad it all worked out and that everyone did what they could to help my puppy!

  3. I have been using a groomer there for about 6 yrs and would rate her a 5 but she is off on leave so I chose another groomer last time and was satisfied so I choose her again. When I brought my dog in she was not there and was assigned another who did not do a very good job. The dog was still dirty and the cut was really ragged, different lengths all over and her face didn’t look like it was cut at all. I’ll be looking for a new groomer.

  4. I took my cat here to get groomed. Sandra was amazing with her. Even though I was a mess, Kiko seemed just fine. I got more than my moneys worth considering it was a big ask. Kiko acts like her old self again, and I can’t be more grateful. I’d take either of my cats back to her in a heartbeat.

  5. Stopped in to have my husky’s nails clipped. Went to pay, walked back in to see my dog struggling, falling off the table. I told the girls multiple times you have to hold her and put a mussel on her before she went back. like most husky’s they do not like their feet touched. I had to walk back and un hook my dog from the two leashes that was holding her up, walk her out only having a paw and a half done. Went to the grooming room and had no issues.
The grooming staff is un experienced, and would hope that no one would let there dog suffer hanging from two leashes.

My name is Nicole T and my best friend of 14 years was put down by a personal service done by them they were very kind and very understanding due to my financial issues I’ve been having being without a job and where i had called over the last week showed me no one cared about my heartache and about my dog other vets were cold and rude and expensive.. my dipper was 14 and they honored his life sent me a heartfelt text after I had left and now I’m getting a paw print of his sent to me by them and next year my dogs ashes will be spread with many others on national dog day..thank you pound buddies you are awesome for are community and more people need to be made aware of your dedication to dogs and to the community of Muskegon.. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AT POUND BUDDIES FOR YOUR EVERYTHING YOU DO!

I came in today to find this dog I rescued a new home because I picked him up for a friend who was in need of help. I spoke to a lady who was short and had short black hair (pixie cut) explained my story to her and she was VERY disrespectful towards me. I told her how I came in to find this dog that I rescued a new home because I have picked up for a friend and she asked how long I had the dog and I told her over night because I was going to find him a shelter in the morning. I told her I couldn’t keep him and she responded in a very sassy tone “why did you pick him up then anyways.” I was very disappointed in her customer service, my boyfriend then came back a couple hours later and spoke to someone different who was SUPER nice. She explained that they were at full capacity and continued to provide us with numbers to other shelters to help this poor dog out. The other lady I spoke to previously butted into the conversation and said in a real snippy tone “good luck finding a place for that dog. It’s going to be hard since it’s a pitbull.” She definitely needs a new job.

When my friend and I took a lost dog we found to Pound Buddies, their staff processed her right away. The facility was clean and signage was clear. Best to call ahead and inquire about dropping off or looking for lost dogs.

What a pleasant surprise for a private shelter. It was huge, a great waiting area, remarkably clean and multiple outdoor areas for the dogs to exercise. They have an employee meet and greet the animals with you. Mine was nice, funny and I could tell she loved her job. I was looking at Montana…and I think I’m going back this weekend to bring her home.

My family and I just adopted from here and we absolutely adore our kitten. They were amazing, we were able to come multiple times to better get to know the cats when we were deciding and we are really happy with the adoption rate and that the kitten was microchipped! Would definitely recommend

I’m really confused because on your website you say that your adoption fees are in the $150 fees, I don’t see anywhere that says you may have to pay medical fees. You also said in an email to another individual that the adopter was not “cooperating” with the adoption process, then why allow her to adopt the cat? Because she had the $900? That’s concerning. For those who are considering adopting from here I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.

If you have proof and receipts to show that the cat was adopted out for $900 due to legitimate medical expenses and not because you wanted to profit off a “rare” breed cat, I’ll gladly remove this review. Until then, you guys are downright greedy. What reputable rescue let’s a cat sit in the shelter most of its life instead of lowering the price to find it a good home? Truly gross behavior.

We honestly need to start investigating a lot of these so called “non profit” shelters. Allowing a kitten to grow up in a cage, because you price it at $900 is absolutely despicable. I’ve never heard of a shelter passing on medical bill costs to the adopter. That’s messed up. If every shelter did that – no animals would ever be adopted. I recently adopted from a humane society in Indiana. My baby grew up in a cage too. He has been with me for 3 months now and still needs a lot of work. He’s overwhelmed by sounds and the vast space of a house. It’s sad. The shelter was absolutely disgusting. It took me over a month to even get him out of the place because I had to fill out an application. Wait 3 weeks for staff to approve it. Then wait another week, plus, to make an appointment. Then local shelters are screaming that they are overflowing. Well why? Do you all get money for every animal you have in a cage per day? I am beginning to wonder about many of these places. Be transparent. Do what’s right for the animals. And do everything to get them in a home. Even a mediocre home is better than a cage.

If I could give zero I would. Do not adopt from here. They will scam you. Raising their prices due to “rare breed” when it obviously isn’t. Isn’t responsible enough to own up to it and fix it. Then claiming it’s due to medical expenses, but a cat of the same litter got it’s leg amputated and was 300 dollars cheaper. There are a bunch of shelters or rescues in it for the animals. They are just in it for the profit. Don’t get scammed, be safe.
