3 weeks agoLocated in an off location but fried chicken is always good here, love the extra crispy breast with coleslaw! Service is always good. Sadly only have takeout here maybe 2x a year as fried chicken is, well, fattening 🙁8 months agoCompletely remodeled inside. Feels like a brand new CLEAN restaurant. I’ve been twice and one time they forgot my pot pie (in an order of almost $50) and the second time they charged me wrong. I left a series of messages for the manager but he never called me. Will not be returning.3 weeks agoVery nice location. Looks retro, but modern inside. Workers are friendly. Always a pleasant getting food here.

3 months agoMy chicken tenders were extremely overcooked. Could hardly even bite them. Waste of money. The biscuits were good at least.3 weeks agoI have had a bad experience at this location before. I didn’t come back for months. Total change. Fast service, my order was accurate, the lady doing cashier was also directing the workers. Will be back again. Almost stopped coming here but my recent visit changed that ty!2 months agoWent in tonight, ordered a spicy chicken combo. It’s sauce was thin and watered down, it was terrible tasting. And the fries also tasted like garbage. About 30 minutes later my stomach is not so great. Won’t go back there again.4 weeks agoCashier was very helpful in getting me what I wanted. Even though I didn’t see it on the menu bord5 months agoThe fact that the staff and managers think it’s okay to eat in the kitchen on their breaks instead of at a table in the dining room. Please re train your staff at this location, my food, should of been hot and crunchy. But you packed it too soon and now im re warming it in my air fryer. Stop being stingy give us some sauce, I just bought a large order of everything. You gave me cold slaw instead of my fries . 😡
Didn’t listen to my order carefully. Tried to give me a combo repeatedly. Messed up order but thankfully fixed it when I returned to cashier. Quality of chicken wasn’t the worst, but still not great. I think KFC should attempt to make chicken tenders texture more similar to Raising canes and also match the sauce.
I moved to this area about a year ago and the Santa Clara KFC was less than a quarter mile from my apartment. My wife and I have loved KFC since our childhood. However, after just a few visits to the 552 Santa Clara, we were no longer fans of your products and had decided not to purchase KFC again. The final straw came when the new chicken nuggets were released and we were excited to see how a chicken restaurant would prepare a chicken nugget. When we got the nuggets, they were cold and hard and completely impossible to eat. After that KFC was permanently off the menu.
Recently I spent some time in a rehabilitation center in Campbell, CA and I was allowed to eat whatever I like. I decided to try KFC which was less than a block away at 3144 South Bascom. The chicken was hot and fresh, correctly seasoned and served in an efficient and courteous manner. I was impressed by the speed of the service and the quality of the product. Simply put, it was the KFC of my childhood and not the poor quality food at 552 Santa Clara.
After my discharge, I decided to give 552 Santa Clara another chance and unfortunately they did not meet the challenge. The chicken was obviously old and had been sitting around for several hours at the least. Shame on you 552 Santa Clara pay attention to your standards and remember you represent a well established product with an outstanding brand reputation. It’s time you remember this and raise your standards.
One of best KFC Locations i have encountered. In all my travels all over the world…..this was among the best of all. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Went there last night. I paid a little over $14
I got a small side of mashed potatoe with gravy, 1 biscuit, one chicken leg and a chicken little. The chicken little is almost 5$ with a little tiny peace of chicken and like a ton of extra mayo. i got mayo all over my beard and hands- they need to teach the lady how to add mayo. I can get a lot more for $5 at wendys and better quality. The chicken leg was also almost 4$ and it was almost the size of a wing at wing stop. Two bites and VERY crunchy. I did ask for crispy but this chicken was beyond crispy. If you are gonna charge so much, make the food fresh and neat. Makes a difference. The only thing that tasted good was the biscuit and mashed potato. But mashed potatoes doesn’t go bad easily anyways. I had to go to pizza my hearth afterwards because i was surprised a $14 meal didn’t fill me up.
