Adopted my 2 cats from there. The adopting screening made it safe for the animals! Melanie made it a great time there! The shelter was very clean aswell
A wonderful place to get a pet. I got my cat there 10 years ago and he’s the best. Adoption fees go towards fixing, vaccinations, and microchipping plus and initial visit at a local VCA once your new pet is home. They also take back animals if something happens. No questions asked. These people are good people and I highly recommend adopting your next pet here.
The experience of fostering a dog was horrible. The dog’s needs and my willingness to do everything humanely possible to adopt a dog with special requirements did not satisfy the “manager” of WARL. I went home without my dog which stayed in a loud, poorly run environment instead of a loving large fenced in yard. I told the “manager” to call if there was a reconsideration. I fostered for a week, technically it was not “my” dog but was more than willing to adopt him and take on the “liability “.
I can’t imagine what more were they looking for? I did not feel heard, welcomed or recognized. A sad experience with a sad dog left behind.
We’ve adopted 2 dogs and several cats over the years here and have been very happy with them. We would like to say that Rochelle has been especially kind and helpful. She is wonderful! We feel like she is family, she’s always there to help!!
I can only say this. Heroes. My girl got taken from me, and she came back happy. They told her she was ok. She understands language. No trauma. For HER. I owe these angels. I will pay,starting now. Thank you. WHITE SHIRT AND FIONA.
