- Reviews:I have adopted many animals there in the last 20 years. My last one is the biggest in the best. I rescued a beautiful pitbull/German Shepherd/mastiff and I named him KING Stewie.By Dena Salerno-Reinke (5 months ago)I love what the organization is doing. But that place needs a REALLY GOOD CLEANING! You walk in and the smell of ammonia and urine is so very strong. I know it’s bound to have some smell. But it was so strong! Each cage needs some sort of documentation about each animal. Some did some didn’t. I hope every animal gets the care it needs and finds good homes to go to! The people who work there are doing good. Just hope they get the help and money they need…..and the building gets a serious cleaning!By Alexandra Sanders (3 months ago)The staff is not exactly honest in their answers when you ask questions. Well the reason the customer asks questions in the first place is so they have a better understanding of the pets they are interested in to make sure it will be a good fit all around. My husband just adopted a 1-2 year old dog from your shelter on Sunday, Mary-Kate to be exact. The main question and super important was is she house broken because my wife uses a walker because of limited mobility and we need a dog that does her business outside because she is not able to clean it up herself and she is home alone during the day that’s why I want a dog for her not a puppy. Yes she’s housebroken he was told We can barely get her out the door yet alone off the porch to use the bathroom and if you do get her out she does nothing and comes right back in and does her business in the houseBy D Knuckles (a month ago)Adopted my new best buddy from here. Walking in, sure there are smells and a small sense of chaos but its pretty clear theyre doing the best they can with what they have… and the quality of the air has no bearing on the quality of the animals they adopt out. Appreciate what they do here.By Jeremy H (a week ago)I found my best friend here when he was a rotten 2. Five years hair shedding later, my little boy is not little anymore.By Bass 47 (a week ago)

- Reviews:Had the best experience finding our wonderful family member a forever home!! People were awesome wonderful, clean environment we are so happy !By Sherri Griffith (a month ago)We had a very positive experience adopting our dog. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and all of our questions answered. We worked with Jessica and she was amazing. Communication was open from the time we picked our pup out to the time we were able to take her home. Her surgery was done well and she got a clean bill of health from our personal vet. Clark was also a positive staff member who gave us great insight into our dogs behavior. We highly recommend adopting from them. Our dog is the perfect fit.By Daniel Creager (3 months ago)Awesome place! Possibly the cleanest most well run animal shelter I’ve seen. So many wonderful pups to adopt or foster. We’re fostering Sloth, a wonderful Terrier mix. He’s so sweet and great with people, other dogs and kids.By Gabriel Ryan (4 months ago)Today I adopted this lovely girl from the animal shelter and she’s lovely. Absolutely the best shelter in the area. We’ve gotten great pets from there & great follow up vet care at the clinic.
They are very knowledgeable about the pets under their care & their unique needs.
We adopted our dog 6 months ago from here (1yo pitbull) and she has been the light of our life ever since. Lisa helped us meet her and adopt her, Lisa was so incredibly kind. You can tell the staff is very passionate about sending these animals off to a good home.
I absolutely love the greeter he is an old cat and I just sat outside for almost an hour in the freezing cold ????… But I know I made his day because he sure definitely made mine …. And the staff were very awesome and helpful this is where I just bought my 4 legged baby Brady he sure is loving his new home… Yes he is very spoiled…. But we love him too pieces…. He is in good hands… We bought him on March 5,2023 and he warmed up to us the same day and now he is following me around all the time he is very playful and yes I did buy him a bed but he like to sleep on mine and my husband’s bed …. He loves attention and he makes your day alot better when your down and out for sure ????????❤️….
I merely looked up the location of the APL. But Google maps wants me to give a rating so I gave 5 stars. Because these people are saints.
Amazing facility. Great layout. I love being able to go in with the cats and play with them. There are so many adorable animals to interact with. The staff were so friendly and inviting. Found our new kitten.
