  1. I recently purchased a new HVAC System which the technicians did an excellent job from what I’ve seen. The entire process from the sales rep to the installation was top-notch. However, The biggest drawback is dealing with their “customer service” department. Dealing with them makes me have buyer’s remorse. If I could, I would return everything in a heartbeat and deal with not having an HVAC system for the time being.

    The department that should set the standard for customer service does not know the meaning of customer service. I’ve dealt with multiple individuals, Michael Richmond *cough *cough, with a poor attitude and lack of care when dealing with customer issues. In addition, the department seems to lack any resources to help the customers. The typical answer I get is, “they will be there between 8-12” or “they will call 30 minutes before heading your way.” Ok… I know there is a window, but can you tell me if the technician has an issue at the current job that might delay or reschedule my appointment. There has to be a way to provide transparency on the status of the technicians. I rather reschedule, knowing the technician won’t make it to my appointment versus wasting my entire day to find out they won’t be there at the last minute. Too many vacation days wasted just to make myself available with no service done. I expected more in terms of customer service, especially spending 18k.

    Overall, I’ve had a good experience with the exception of their customer service. Because of that, the only interaction I will continue with them is my complimentary maintenance and warranty.

  2. Best value for a home warranty! Today we paid $0 for $1400 worth of service and parts on our heater, oh and we’ve been using one of their nice big space heaters for free while waiting on a part to come in. Collin was very helpful and courteous in his service today! A broken furnace couldn’t have turned out better for us. We’re sitting in a warm house now. 🙂 Thank you to AB May!

He was on time, very polite and made me feel very comfortable seeing this is my first experience with this as a new homeowner. I highly recommend a bonus/raise in his future!   4. Admittedly the quote was on the high end but not outrageous. But this is my dad’s house and I knew he had Band-Aided plumbing problems for years so I knew there was no longer a chance to dodge the issues. Which included rotting cast iron and a leaking water heater.
    But AB May was fast, neat, clean and did excellent professional work. Robert and Anthony were friendly answered all our questions even while they worked in 3 different parts of the house. I stood in the basement and kitchen admiring their work long after they were gone.

  5. My husband & I did our homework. We visited Lowe’s, toilets were $199.00 each, install $250, 7.00 for a new line, 35.00 delivery, 1 × “charge, but to haul away, $ 35.00 per toilet. Without tax it came to $1508.00.. Derrick was able to learn what our needs are & stay within our budget & still give us quality toilets. He waved the haul off fee & a couple of issues we discovered that were minor, he didn’t up charge us. I finally found a plumber that I definitely will call back! He has Integrity, he’s trustworthy, & he educates the customer so they know if they are being snowed by another company. We paid $300.00 more than the Lowe’s bid, but it is worth it to get the job done right. That’s what is important here. I want quality workmanship & there’s a warranty! So Kudos to Derrick, for a job well done & efficiently! Thank you, we appreciate your business ethics too

    If I could sum it up in one word, fantastic. From Dustin, who diagnosed my issue, to Milton and Jimmy who did the excavation and repair, every step of the way they made sure I was informed about what was going on and explained my options. I had attempted to fix my sewer issue through my home warranty, who after 4 plumbers, not only couldn’t identify what the issue was but left my property in a worse state than they found it. Roto-rooter provided exceptional service, and were much more respectful of my time and property than any of the other plumbers I’ve dealt with. Will definitely call them first in the future!

    Shane came out and cleared our main line, at the late hours. He was absolutely amazing at helping us. We cannot thank him enough for everything he did, taking the time to work through the issues with our line and helping us in a time of need. We will definitely use Roto rooter again!

    Trevor was our technician and arrived 30 minutes late, he quoted $650 for a small seal leak problem under our stand-up shower. After cutting into the pipes, he realized he made a mistake and called his boss to find a solution to his mess up. Sent pictures and everything. Top it off quoted higher after his mistake. Then when he finished the job, we waited overnight to test it, and first thing in the morning water was everywhere in our laundry room. Let’s just say the worst experience ever, 3 technicians in less than a week to fix the tiniest leak, & on the first day when we told Trevor looks like you could have just sealed it from the top besides all that you explained the first time. His response was yeah I thought about that after. One it’s the holidays and two it’s not easy nowadays and when we don’t know too much about plumbing, we hope for honesty and I feel like we haven’t gotten any of that. I have placed 2 requests to hear back from the manager and heard nothing. I’ve never felt so used in my life and it’s the worst feeling, so I’d recommend doing your research, & know what you’re getting into before trusting who we expect are professionals.

    I called Roto-Rooter to come fix my broken sump pump. I was told someone would be out in an hour. It wasn’t until two hours later that Shane arrived. He was very professional and courteous. Shane quickly informed me I would need to replace the sump pump and he gave me a quote. He was not be able to fix it until the following afternoon because he needed approval from a supervisor. This gave me time to research the installation and confirm I would be able to do it myself. I ended up making an early morning trip to Home Depot and spending 1/4 of what I was quoted by Roto-Rooter. I cancelled my appointment with Shane and paid for his assessment. If not for that approval process I would have ended up spending a lot more. I’m sure I would have been happy with Shane’s installation as he seemed to know his work well.

    R Mech has been my go to plumber for 10 to 12 years. They do excellent work, have friendly and helpful employees, and they don’t try to force up charge services – they just make sensible suggestions. They are not the cheapest plumbing/ hvac company, but they are totally worth it. I really appreciate that they are very straightforward about cost options, and alternatives that save me money. They have been to my houses at least 30 times, and did exemplary work each time. They did make one significant mistake, during a furnace replacement – but, they came back and promptly made it right.

    Heat pump condenser stopped working during a super cold snap. The very friendly scheduler was able to get someone out same day which was amazing because it was the Friday before Christmas. Unfortunately the problem was not resolved during the initial visit and I had to call back to schedule a return trip. I was not thrilled that the first tech left without actually fixing anything. The second visit went much better and the issue was diagnosed and subsequently fixed once the part was available. Overall I am pleased with the service we received despite the initial issue and would call again.

    This company has an amazing crew. We had Brayden out today and he got us all set-up and was so patience with us and so knowledgeable.     They installed high efficiency Trane furnace/AC system they’ve been regularly maintaining it since 1/21 when it was installed. They’ve always been responsive in coming out. They are always good about answering questions. Brandon came out today and was able to get the thermostat linked to my phone as it wasn’t working . I’m so impressed how he stuck with it until it was working. He didn’t leave until it worked and it took awhile. Thank you so much for figuring it out. It made my day.
