What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This stall is infamous for the laksa. The laksa broth was done perfectly, not too thick or watery. Service from the ladies manning the stalls was surprisingly good as they were courteous despite the longx3 list of orders that they have. Good food coupled with good service, a recipe for success!

  2. Because the Kolo Mee was made world-famous by the late Anthony Bourdain, I had to come here this morning just to try the Sarawak Laksa. And, it was awesome. I can’t say that it’s the best, because I need to try many others.

However, when I got here at 10.25am, I managed to get the last bowl of Sarawak Laksa and they sold out. A small portion was RM8.00, and was great, full of flavour and a tad spicy.

I can imagine why so many people come here for the laksa. It’s well balanced. Yet to try others, as I saw there was Kolo Mee, Popia and porridge. Buy seems like 90% come here for the famous Sarawak Laksa. If its your 1st time to Kuching, I recommend you come try this. And come early, before 10am is best.

  3. Friends invited me here to try the legendary Sarawak Laksa and I don’t regret. I tried it before in other places but this one is definitely the best and have its own unique flavour.

We also had Popiah which was really good with peanuts inside for that extra crunch.

Place gets very crowdy in the morning so you have to wait for a table. Also not easy to find a parking space but it’s worth the effort.

  4. Heard that this restaurant has the best popiah and Sarawak laksa in Kuching. These dishes do not disappointed me as it’s taste delicious. The laksa soup is unique and the popiah tastes good with their own sauces.Yum Yum.

Just a-bit disappointed on their drinks as the Kopi O kosong not enough “Gao” for me.

Anyway, strongly recommended you have a try when you come to Kuching.

  5. My favourite place to eat, in Kuching. Highly recommended by my brother and cousin. Yet, I was still blown away by the taste of the laksa. I’d describe it as the way Anton Ego felt when he had the ratatouille made by Remy (in Disney’s ‘Ratatouille’). That is, not only did it taste delicious, but the taste sense triggered a memory of the nostalgic and the good ol’ days.
The kolok mee at the kopitiam was good, too. I had only a sample as every time I go there, I’d only just have the laksa. It was quite fragrant, but the texture of the noodle was a little too tough for my liking. I know a lot of people like it that way (chewy, tough). It came with handmade fish balls. You know it’s good when the pickiest eater among us asked the maker if she could buy the fish balls in bulk to take home. (The answer was ‘no’.)
The service is rated high because despite kopitiam looking busy (to the point of almost being chaotic), the vendors were very personable and patient (unlike a lot of places in Miri). And when we asked for the laksa to not include chicken meat, they gave extra prawns. (This generosity would be miraculous in Miri.)
Also, apparently they have a popiah stall here, too. But it was their off day on our first visit. And on our second visit, the maker wasn’t there yet, even though the ingredients were all ready at the stall. (We were there at 6:30am.)
This place should be classified a Heritage (site)!😁😄

Have been here quite a few times. The waffle is amazing and was topped with ice cream. I recommend the original waffle instead of the black rice one. Also, their drinks are good too. Their souffle is also a must try. One small detail I like about this place is that they provided drinking water station for anyone who wished to have some plain water for free.

As I walked into this air-conditioning and clean cafe, I find that it’s way too bright for me. Glad to have an empty table at the end corner which is shaded from that bright sun. That crumbly carrot cake was delish but just a tad too dry. The original pancake was just ok to my taste. Menus are all so tempting, will come back for more. Service was awesome!

One of my fav coffee houses in Kuching! Would recommend you try their waffles because the portions are generous and it does fill an empty stomach (my stomach). What’s more, it’s scrumptious and flavourful too. I came here more than twice already, so it’s safe to say that I’d recommend this place! Bonus: they got free water too! Aww

Located near a friendly neighborhood, has a shopping mall across the road. Plenty of parking space, western and Asian cuisine available. Cafe is well designed and huge. Good for medium to large gatherings. Friendly and polite staff. Seats are wide and not crowded. Food are tasty. Same taste without compromise as in Sibu cafe cafe.

Its a very nice place to gather with friend and have a good meal. Nice ambience and mood. Do keep a look out for customer in need to order. Understandable it is no pack, communicating amongst staff is good moral, do kindly notice the existing table require any further order.

My first time here. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. The portion of the food also good, i almost can’t finished my food. My Grilled Chicken, for me was a little under seasoned but still okay when dipped with the gravy/sauce provided. Just the sauce/gravy was not enough, but i didn’t request for extra sauce/gravy. Overall, quite okay…

A cosy place to have lunch/dinner. The portion is quite big, especially for the fried rice. In my opinion, the fried rice can be shared with 3 people with the average eating appetite. Would recommend to come and try the foods here. I ordered the creamy chicken chop with baked rice and it tasted nice but it may be a bit oily. Otherwise, all is good!

Nice environment to have quick lunch or dinner. Environment is great, price is reasonable and food taste good. Also, the customer service of the outlet is good as well. Just might need to rearrange the table and seating for easy access.
