Maybe next time…By Amie Gatterdam (2 months ago)I just attempted to return a iPad (with receipt) to Best Buy Outer Loop (store #4251) that was purchased one week ago because it had a cracked screen. The manager, Jim, refused to accept the return because the screen was cracked and stated I should have bought a warranty. That made no sense to me, so after leaving, I decided to reach out to Best Buy’s online customer support.
After explaining my cracked screen and store issue to the online support agent, she assured me I was still within the return window. They were able to provide me with a return label and will be shipping a replacement. I’m honestly not sure why the store cashier and manager could not be as helpful.

Spoke with Jim and he wasn’t any help either a gentlemen by the name of Jackson who’s was very pleasant instructed me to pick up my device on 2/11/23 once my battery arrived. He stated that they would install the battery when when I came to pick the device. Needless to say this was not done. Went in for a dash cam and after searching for a while asked an employee where they were. He told me to wait for somebody else to come by and help but I waited for several minutes and no one came.
Finally I found them myself and a really nice salesperson helped me order the one I wanted for delivery (the one I was looking for wasn’t in stock, despite the Best Buy website saying it was).
Other than that the delivery was quick and I’m happy with the camera.

We finally lost him, was assisted by a young man who pointed out an awesome laptop so as we went to purchase was told by a very friendly and knowledgeable Christian that it was not usable for taking some test. Lead us in the right path purchased and it works awesome. Quick, painless, and easy. Employee named Ian helped us. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Upon entering the area for the phones we we’re greeted and told someone would be with us shortly. A minute later Ian introduced himself. I ended up with a new phone for the same price, and it was painless.From walking in until we were walking out took about 10 minutes. The store was clean, and well staffed. I will return next time I have electronic needs .
By David L (3 months ago)When I approach to shop I do not like to be attacked by multiple employees, multiples questions, to much talk…allow me to browse, allow me as a consumer to think, decide, myself on whatever I choose to purchase, me being a consumer has questions I will come ask for assistance!! I’m an elite plus member and they refused to honor the sale pricing that was online and in store, even the price label showed the promo pricing and the supervisor wouldn’t set the correct pricing. I won’t be shopping here any longer. It’s a shame too, because their remodel is actually nice.
2nd Best Buy bungle of the day. Called from another store to see if they had a product in stock since the previous store didn’t but said at Matthews did. They said they had it in stock and could even sell it to us in the phone. We said no thanks we would be there in 30 minutes. Make the drive. Get here. No product. Apparently they don’t take calls at the store level, only at call centers. Pretty sure my husband nor I will ever give Best Buy another dollar of our money. Time to find a new electronics and television store. This has always been our go to chain to shop at. No longer.
I’m writing this from the parking lot. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a more pleasant experience shopping. I was greeted with a smile and a good morning no less then five times. Three of those times were accompanied by, “can I help you find anything?” Usually those attempts are either pushy or insincere but I did not feel that way at all. Even better, unlike the experience I had at Lowe’s yesterday, the associate I talked to by the laptops knew exactly what I was talking about and exactly where to find it. Thank you, Best Buy!
I didn’t learn my lesson. Last time the best buy delivery team never showed and never called. This time they call at 930 am for what was supposed to be an afternoon delivery. Since I wasn’t home they skipped the delivery. Now I have to explain the story every time I get transferred, hung up on etc. Not to mention the wasted time when I am supposed to be working. Delivery team strikes again and when I go to the store they tell me it is contracted and they can’t control it. I guess I can control it and not shop there any longer. Why I waste time with reviews is beyond me. Why I waste time expecting someone to do what they say is the better question.
Nice store (as far as equipment), however I couldn’t get a lot of help when it came to trying to buy a laptop that was in their “open box” condition. The manager and other workers definitely wanted me to spend more money and it showed when I still choose to go through with my actual choice. They wanted me to spend more, however, weren’t very friendly and didn’t say another word about anything after I wasn’t qualified for the Best Buy credit card. I had enough cash to buy whatever I wanted and being that I’m a new college student I would’ve loved to look at other options or know more about different options but I guess I didn’t look like I qualified for anything after not being accepted for the credit card? This is why I chose a pre-owned laptop that seems to be working perfectly, but I could’ve went with a bigger screen or got one that came with the hp pen? Don’t judge someone based on looks, they could be millionaires and you’d never know!!!
