2 weeks agoGreat store. Sales associates are very knowledgeable and ready to assist compared to Macy’s stores at bigger cities. Cosmetic counter ladies are not pushy and ready to help to choose a fragrance2 months agoThe layout appears more scarce than other department stores, unless that’s their thing. All fitting rooms on second floor are closed except one at the front of the store (I’m not sure about mens fitting rooms). A bit inconvenient when wanting to try on swimsuits or bras and having to walk from the back to the front of the store. However, the male cashier, with an accent (sorry, didn’t catch his name) who was in the womens section was super pleasant and helpful. Other staff weren’t as friendly when asked a question and then when checking out; there was no one around, yet I felt I was being an inconvenience to them.3 months agoI love the selection, but every single time I shop here it’s almost impossible to check out. Today I had to ask multiple people where to check out the shoes I was buying. Makeup/jewelry counter employees all just pointed or shrugged and said, “isn’t there someone at the shoe desk?” No, there wasn’t. When I was finally directed to a specific counter on the other side of the store, there was also no one there, but I waited. Eventually an employee walked over and I explained to her that we weren’t sure where to check out. She could have taken that moment to say in a friendly manner that she’d be happy to check us out, but instead she was dismissive and cold. I think I’ll skip Macys from now on. 2 stars only because I love the shoesa month agoAwkward experience. While making a purchase and exploring the store, Michelle (who seems to be a supervisor) kept stopping to audibly criticize the employees. When the associate we were working with asked for help, she just said “not my problem”. That likely slowed our transaction.11 months agoA new counter manager! It is now open for business! I am so happy to see someone is ready to help and deliver great customer service. Exciting!

The selection is slim in the Toys R Us section in the lower level and the prices are a bit on the higher end. Nice to just browse, but nothing worth making a special trip for.
Macy’s backstage is right next to the toy section. Most of the employees in that section aren’t friendly and won’t speak to you, unless you speak to them first. Consider this your warning, if you’re searching for that warm and fuzzy feeling. I prefer cold and prickly, so I’m okay with it.
Sometimes you can find some awesome deals, but most of the time it’s where the unpopular items go to collect dust for a slight discount.
If you’re looking to waste some time and you’re in the area, it’s worth a quick stop to peruse around downstairs.
I went to the perfume counter to get my smell good fix. I tried to go with another brand, but Mugler got a hold on me. They have some of the best fragrances. The purple bottle Alien – smells out of this world. The blue bottle Angel – smells heavenly. The pink bottle Nova – will have you smelling like nobody’s business, and the gold bottle Goddess – smells like pure reverence. Do not ever throw your bottles away. You can get all of them refilled when you run out. YES!!!! The only thing is the lady that helped me did not represent the high-end quality that Mugler represents. She was selling high-end cologne looking like a low-budget Peppermint Patty from Charlie Brown with a bad t-shirt on. Poor representation Macy!!! Y’all need to do something about the unkept perfume whisper. SMH!!!
I’ve been to many different locations of Macy’s in major cities and to be absolutely honest with you, Mayfair location is more like an upscale K Mart. There is no exclusivity,nor personal one on one experience with the salesperson explaining every aspect of the item that you are interested in purchasing or not. Nope they pretty much assume that you know what you are looking for, but don’t get me wrong, the staff is helpful at certain times of the day or day of the week.
The store is immaculate, the inventory is fresh and appealing. I recommend this Macy’s to consumers who need only the best quality clothing and other accessories at a great and safe location.
Happy about the selection and my purchase, but the employee who was restocking and I made eye contact and she rolled her eyes at me, then when I went to check out, the workers at the counter gave me a really dirty look. I didn’t do anything out of the normal so I don’t understand why they did that. I don’t really like complaining but that bad experience was off putting
They women in the perfume department eventually assisted me. However, they kept getting distracted and leaving me. I already knew what I wanted. And it should have been a quick transaction but unfortunately it took 25 mins and I was one of 2 customers in the department. After spending over $200 and shopping in this department frequently I expect the sale floor associates to have more training in customer care and less time talking about what customers irritated them for that day.
