We appreciate the great service!2 weeks agoI regret to say that my experience at the Zips car wash on Airport Road has been consistently disappointing, leading me to give it a two-star review. Despite regularly visiting various Zips locations in the area, this particular one falls short in several areas.Firstly, it’s frustrating to find that half of their vacuum cleaners are consistently out of service. Even the ones labeled as “working” are often neglected and filled to the brim, resulting in minimal suction power. This lack of attention to maintaining their equipment greatly diminishes the quality of the service.
Adding to my dissatisfaction, I encountered a situation last week where the car wash was shut down for cleaning. While cleanliness is important, one would expect such maintenance tasks to be scheduled during the least busy hours or after the facility closes. Unfortunately, this inconvenience seems to be a recurring theme at this location.
Furthermore, when I tried to change my payment method, I was surprised to find that they didn’t have a card reader available for such transactions. In this day and age, it’s essential for businesses to provide convenient payment options, and the absence of a card reader reflects a lack of attention to customers’ needs.
It’s disheartening because this Zips car wash is situated in a prime location in Asheville. I had high hopes that they would maintain the same level of service and quality as other Zips locations, but sadly, my experience over the past year has been consistently terrible.
If you’re in need of a car wash in the area, I strongly recommend going to the Zips on Tunnel instead. They offer a more satisfactory experience and are better equipped to meet customers’ expectations.
a week agoThe automatic scanner used to enter car wash is unreliable. The car wash does NOT get the back of SUV clean. The rinse stage leaves soap on car. The vacuums do NOT have enough suction and the air hoses never work. Unfortunately – there aren’t other convenient car washes in the area. Otherwise I would use them instead.2 weeks agoPulled a piece off my car, contacted the company about it and got a “okay, have a nice day” from them. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU LIKE YOUR CAR IN 1 PIECE!

Only downfall is most have towels and bottles sitting out with the vacuum and this location doesn’t. Also would love to see the air guns that help get the dust out of your car. First of all.. it’s fun to take the ride through the car wash! After the ride you can use these powerful vacuums to clean the interior. They also provide towels and squirt bottles for the few chunks of serious ich.
Don’t love how their packages and pricing will sometimes change without notifying their subscription customers. But at the end of the day, Zips is hard to beat in terms of value. Both my wife and I have monthly memberships and have for years.
I had the pleasure of coming through the wash while Dwayne was working. It makes such a big difference on who starts the wash. Dwayne made his way fully around my truck, and took the time to spray out my wheels. I hope I come through when he’s working again. Thanks Dwayne
As their history shows, with time the service once provided becomes lax. Where they once pre-treated cars to loosen or remove grime, no more. Do they reduce the monthly fee?, of course not. Will they most likely increase their fee in the upcoming months?, betcha yeah! More cost, less service… ugh!
Attendant here was trash! As I was using the touch screen to pay for my wash the attendant jumps in completely unnecessarily and condescendingly says those are the options. I reply “Yes I can see that.” To which he puffs up and says “It’s my job to stand here!” I have never had an employee get in between me and the touchscreen as I’m trying to pay, and be so rude and obnoxious. Worst interaction I’ve ever had at a Zips location. I’m so disappointed and disgusted.
