  Received a haircut from Bishops recently to cut off my long hair and go back to a short pixie. The staff were all super friendly and fun to talk with, and very professional. The atmosphere is very fun and relaxing, if you get nervous in the typical stiff hair salon atmosphere. There is a lot of awesome art on the walls and the music selection is refreshingly not traditional pop. My stylist Allison was very knowledgeable and was able to tame my 2+ years of thick hair growth into a manageable and stylish cut. She did a wonderful job, and I can’t wait to go back! If you are looking for a place that respects your desire for a non-traditional cut, style, or color, this is the salon to go to.

  I had a great experience at Bishops! It’s been such a struggle for me to find a place that will give me a cut that isn’t “feminine” and that actually allows me to express my gender the way I prefer. I actively went on the hunt to seek out LGBT friendly hair salons in the hopes that I could get a cut I actually liked, and I found one! Bishops had a comfortable, friendly, relaxing atmosphere. My stylist was very knowledgeable about the cut I wanted and I felt at ease with her. I left with a style I actually wanted!!! That’s never happened. So grateful to y’all.

  My hair service was at 5:15 on 11/26/2022. My hairstylist told me her name but I forgot it because I suck! (my anxiety kills my memory) She was wonderful and helpful and lovely! I was so comfortable and I love my hair!! I finally have a hairstyle!!!! She really listened to what I wanted and made it ten times better and I feel wonderful. She also picked up on my social anxiety cues and didn’t force small talk but was kind and gentle when we did talk. I really appreciate what a wonderful job she did! Thank you!!!! I feel beautiful!

  Wanted to get a haircut for the first time in ~3 years and was drawn to Bishops because of the vibe their website gave off. Super happy that I went with them!
  Brandon did an incredible job cutting my long hair and beard to a modern look and I will 100% be coming back next time I need a cut.

  I went to this place for the first time today and at first i really liked the place, it was really nice inside and the person at the front desk seemed nice. But when i got seated with my stylist, i told her what i wanted to do with my hair, which was fairly simple. I asked for the top to be cut just right above my eyebrows and for the sides to be cut with a 3. At the end of the appointment she had seemingly ignored everything i said at the beginning, she cut my hair much much shorter then i had explained to her and the hair cut turn out terrible. here is a before and after…

  I’ve been very apathetic about my appearance over the years, as such I know nothing about hair styles. Isabel was great! Patient with me and my ignorance. Set me up with a style that works for me and I’ve gotten inumerable compliments on how I look. So much so that 3 friends have said they’re going to book haircuts at 18/8. Highly recommend!

  This was hands down the worst cut I have ever received. Diego is the guy who was supposed to give me a skin fade. The fact that he let me get out of his chair like this is poor business and I would not recommend anyone to this place.

  I’ve been to One-Way three times and have had Nazim, the owner, all three times. He is a kind and skilled barber. I have a lot of hair which can be difficult to work with and he gives me exactly what I want every time. Highly recommend!
