What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. TLDR: Don’t use curbside pickup at this Macy’s!!

Good luck getting your stuff using Curbside Pickup here. I’ve tried using it 3 separate times now. One time they did attempt to find me and even called me (they hung up before saying anything) but then gave up so I ended up having to go inside and wait in line for my items. My husband waited in the pickup section and after no one came out after 15 minutes he started calling the store, he did this for over 20 minutes with no one ever answering the call or coming outside so he also had to go inside and wait in line. The most recent time (06/26/2022), my husband again went to the curbside pickup spot and he waited for close to 30 minutes while I went inside to visit the Estee Lauder counter and take a peek at Backstage and once again no one came out with our order and no one called. This has irritated the both of us to the point that we will not be shopping at this location anymore.

  2. We went to return a couple of gifts. God awful excuse of a store, no kid’s area cashier for at least the 30 minutes that we waited for someone to show up.

When we went on a safari trying to find someone to help us, we finally came upon a sad corner of the store entitled “backstage”, where two of the rudest human beings of all time were working (if management is interested, it’s whoever was there at 6 PM on Monday 1/2). As soon as we approached, from the get go the lady was doing everything she possibly could to send us away with our returns. She started out by lying that there’s nothing she could do without a gift receipt, didn’t even bother looking at the tags to see if there was a barcode (there was) but insisted for 2 minutes there was nothing for her to scan. We literally had to point out the policy that was written on the wall sitting right next to her head for the entirety of her daily duration at this miserable place.

I mean she was TRYING to be obnoxious and send us away empty handed. When we finally got her to return the items, she gave us a receipt for about half of what the items are actually worth, looked
like numbers she typed in her self. By that point I really didn’t care, I just wanted to get out of her toxic environment in that cesspit

This was after we went to the cashier upstairs and they (again very rudely) pointed us to the kids area downstairs, like I get that it needs to be returned to the kid’s section but it’s the same store/company, are you guys really that incapable? Is your system that incompetent? Or were we just sent on another wild goose chase?

I guess we’ll never find out because we’ll never shop there again and neither should you if you value your time, life is too short, trust me.

  3. It’s a standard Macy’s at a nice mall. Good selection and variety and the store is very clean. Associates are not the friendliest but not rude either. I had to return an online order and they’d never seen a Hawai’i driver’s license before so apparently it’s “invalid ID.” I’ll chalk it up to being a one-off; maybe next visit will be better.

  4. A very nice store for clothing a shoes. You get all type of men and women clothing. Formal and casual. Sports wear also,as well as shoes. Women section is located on one end of the mall and men’s section is located on the other end.

  5. There are two Macy’s stores at Westfield’s Valley Fair: one store for men’s fashion, and one for women’s. I only walked through the lady’s Macy’s (because that’s where I parked) on my way to Apple Store, but Macy’s seems to always be clean, and the employees professional.

I can’t really afford Macy’s. I’m more Walmart and Target, the latter of which, for me, is upscale (lol).

Thi is the most positive, energetic and polite sales person I have ever interacted with at Macy’s. I came to get a red lip liner and ended up with perfume as well. Her energy is so happy, she is all smiles. Thank you for a great shopping experience Thi.

I recently visited Macy’s men’s section and was deeply disappointed by the disorganized state of affairs. Clothes were strewn everywhere, making it a tiresome task to find what I needed. The lack of organization severely hinders the shopping experience, making it quite frustrating.

Moreover, the fitting rooms were not open. This was a significant inconvenience as it made it impossible to try on the clothes before buying, which is a basic expectation in any clothing store. This, combined with the disorderly state of the men’s section, raises doubts about the store’s interest in serving male customers.

It was disheartening to see such a well-known retail giant like Macy’s, which prides itself on high-quality service, fall short in this way. It appears as though the men’s section is being overlooked, which sends a disheartening message to male customers who wish to shop there.

I hope Macy’s takes note of these issues and promptly works on improving their men’s section to provide a better and more organized shopping experience. Until then, I find it difficult to recommend shopping in the men’s section at Macy’s.

My recent experience at Macy’s in Newpark Mall left much to be desired. I found the overall shopping experience to be subpar and fell short of my expectations.

First and foremost, the customer service was lacking. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, providing minimal assistance when needed. It was difficult to find someone knowledgeable or willing to go the extra mile to assist customers.

The store itself appeared disorganized and messy. The racks were often cluttered, making it challenging to navigate and find specific items. The overall presentation and tidiness of the store left much to be desired.

Additionally, the selection of merchandise was disappointing. The choices felt limited and uninspiring, lacking the variety and quality that one would expect from a major retail chain like Macy’s. It seemed as though the store was not keeping up with the latest trends or offering a wide range of options to cater to diverse customer preferences.

Furthermore, the checkout process was frustratingly slow. The lines were long, and there weren’t enough staff members available to efficiently process transactions. It resulted in a time-consuming and tedious experience, dampening the overall shopping trip.

In summary, my experience at Macy’s in Newpark Mall was subpar. The lackluster customer service, disorganized store layout, limited merchandise selection, and slow checkout process all contributed to a disappointing shopping experience. I would recommend exploring other retail options in the area for a more satisfying shopping outing.

Although, the store has enough space, it is poorly stocked. Not to forget, extremely disinterested staff – and likely understaffed as well as I had to get someone from the checkout counter to help me check for a shoe size after I could not find any of the staff on the floor.

I worked at macy ; but i have to say that my experience was ever worst there. There is lots of discrimination. Most of the days I worked there with tears in my eyes always. They traeted me so unlikely. Even i worked with lots of honesty and all courage whatever I could do. Customers appreciated me a lot ; but I got so much disappointment and frustration from macy .

Selection is a bit limited comparing to other local Macy’s but I do like this location because the perfume counters have many testers to try and the salespeople aren’t too pushy which makes for a comfortable shopping experience.

I used to go to this store only because it’s close to my house but I’m done after the keep my stuff for a second time . Make sure you don’t left anything in the store because they will keep it, the last time after buying almost $120 I. Makeup (Mac) products, I went to jewelry dept and get my daughter earrings, and I left the bag of makeup on top of the shelves (on a Sunday) and when I went back and ask for a the nice lady who works in the jewelry dept told me that she gave the bag to the makeup lady and when I ashes the lady on makeup dept she said that she left it under her desk but the bag just disappeared (by magic I guess ). Si yes not a trust store I left stuff some at Ross and always found it .

I love Macy’s but the locations in the East Bay are just dead ..meaning they’re empty…void of customers. Nice stores but no one is in them. A physical retail location these days is going the way of the Dodo I suppose. Sometimes you just want to be able to feel and try the stuff on and so you walk into Macy’s or Nordstrom or wherever you prefer to shop. And you’re the only customer in the store!!!
