- Reviews:Visited this branch today. 1. Security guard asked customers to wear mask before allowing entry into the bank. 2. WiFi is available. Just ask the staff for the WiFi password so you could access your Maybank app. 3. Be prepared for a long wait (more than 30 minutes) if you need to speak to a Service Advisor. Total time needed to resolve issue (e.g. issue new debit card) including waiting time is 1-2 hours. 4. Bank staff were helpful. 5. Quite long to wait although not many customers. But eventually when my turn is on, the processing time to get new card is reasonable.By sal Mohd Saad (4 months ago)Need to make appointment before coming. 😬 UPDATE 09.06.2022 : People with appointments, best to come 1 hour early than appointment time to standby. Please expect long queue. Bank staff will check on your appointment by name (as stated in manual / online appointment) to clarify before you’re permitted to enter. Parking is impossible – bring someone to drive you or take GrabCar instead. UPDATE 07.04.2022 : If any Maybank Karamunsing staff (at entrance area) forced you to install MAE app before letting you enter the building with an appointment, even if you tell that staff that you’re not interested to do so – stand your ground and please make drama so his intention is heard by other staff. See photo to which staff I’m referring to, wearing yellow Maybank tee. This was what I experienced during my last visit here and I was too tired to not fulfilling his request. This staff should be fired for manipulating his authority by not permitting me and my partner enter the building for our appointment unless we do what he told us to do first so he can earn some commission from each registration by putting his referral number into that newly registered account. He even lied to us by telling that our transaction will not be smooth if we dont install it – so far we have no problem with doing any Maybank online business ! I’ve written official complaint email to Maybank HQ about this staff. No walk-in registration .Well yeah ,it’s understandable given to our condition ,this pandemic SOP is a must. U can make appointment online at Maybank EzyQBy Kiki Here (a year ago)Quite fast. Made a bank appointment intending for ASB business. When I arrived, was explained that ASB matters are walk-in only. Was instructed to fill some forms, then got in to queue for number. The person in charge for ASB matters quickly picked a number for me, and called me to his counter to settle my issue. The whole thing from my arrival was done in 15mins. SOP was carried well too, imo. A line outside with a staff delegating everyone’s issue to correct counters so that there’s no crowding inside.By Sid Nurhazwan (a year ago)

Most confusing que outside the bank. Overall increase risk for customer during these times . No clear system on waiting outside the bank. Most have to wait facing the sun .
So far, had no issues with all my dealings here. However, would like to suggest management to consider replacing the awning, so that it can actually block the sun in the morning. The entrance faces the morning sun, and queuing there while waiting for them to open is not comfortable at all.
Have had the worst banking experience here. Waited for 2 hours outside the bank under the sun and got sunburn just to follow the SOP, while some people could just walk in without queueing, the glass awning outside the bank is not practical for a tropical country like Malaysia.
The WORST customer service. Long waits to talk to a bank employee. TERRIBLE customer mobile app. Frequent 45-60 minute waits at ATM’s. ATM’s that are out of cash or out of service. Phone support that DOESN’T support and essentially tells you to go to a branch office. I saw them close an entire ATM location over the lunch hour (PEAK time) for 30 minutes to wipe down machines, sweep, and empty trash cans while a LONG que grew outside. Maybank employees seem to have no clue about taking care of customers. It’s policies and procedures are UNBELIEVABLY CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY. I suggest you AVOID Maybank at all costs. NOTHING BUT HEADACHES!!
Very disappointing. operating hours do not follow the schedule. There is no notification notice in case of closure..!!
