What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. A long time ago, I went to this Drive and Shine–I’d never been to any Drive and Shine before–and I’d called ahead to see if they were busy. “Sure come on in, we don’t have anything going on.” I was in a rush and wanted my car cleaned really well before a meeting for work. When I got there, they DID have something going on, they were super busy and I had to leave without services or be late. For whatever reason, I was livid. And thus I have hated Drive and Shine with a burning passion for more than a few years. 😂 I’m going to Drive and Shine today to put the old grudge to rest. Please don’t let me down today. 🥹😂

  2. We love the guys and gals at Drive & Shine! We always choose them for our oil changes and have never gotten a mechanic that was less than thorough at explaining the whole process to us. They provide quality service and always seem to be in the best moods. They treat each other with respect while communicating back and forth about the vehicle. It’s refreshing and good to know you’re always in good hands with folks that care.
Afterwards you get a complimentary car wash – fun for all ages 🙂

  3. I went in for an oil change, they checked everything out and told me the transmission fuel cap was gone, so they recommended a transmission fuel change which I didn’t need later when I took my car to the dealer. The service person working at this location told me that the fuel cap is a common part I can get it from any part store that wasn’t true. I called all the part stores in the area and all of them told me it was a dealer part. I tried to stop the service because I would still be driving without a fuel cap. But the service person told me they already started it that wasn’t true. I told them the fuel cap was a dealer part. So, I took my car to the dealer today and the tech person told me the reason why the fuel cap fell off was because the line was dirty, I didn’t need a transmission fuel change, and they found the fuel cap was still there on the side. So please tell me what is wrong here. You guys sold me a service I didn’t need. I tried to stop the service after I knew it was dealer part that didn’t happened, I would rather take my car to the dealer. Also, the dealer tech found the fuel cap right next to it. Now I’m wondering how come you guys didn’t see it after the transmission fuel change. I’m not an expert on cars, but when you take your car for a service at least be honest and know what you are talking about. This transmission fuel service cost me $169. I want a refund; you guy did a service I didn’t need.
I will be reporting you guys to the Better Business Bureau.

  4. Went in for an oil change on 8/24/2023 and as soon as I pulled in he lied and said my car was over heating ( it wasn’t ). It was 100° outside and I had my AC running he told me the fans were running bc it was over heating and I needed a coolant flush so stupidly I believed him and did it . T then when it was done he had me turn the heat on and said see the fans turned off it’s not over heating anymore . I’ll never go here again and I advise you not to either I don’t appreciate being lied to and tricked. (My car has never over heated the whole time I’ve owned it )

  5. I want to start by saying I have always had good experiences with drive and shine both for oil changes and car washes. But I stopped in on a Thursday after work before heading out of town for Labor Day weekend for an oil change. The place was Empty so I got in right away and overheard one of the employees make a reference about how quickly this one was going to be to one of his co-workers. This not being my first time I am aware of the process and it was definitely different this time. Filters were not checked but the invoice says they were. Fluids were not checked nothing but the oil cap in the engine bay was removed but the invoice says that they were, I have a hard time believing that the oil filter was even changed. Washer fluid was listed as filled but on my way to Indy the next day I used my washer fluid once and the empty warning came on and no it does not have a leak it simply wasn’t filled. In total the exchange was less than 5 minutes and they sure were proud of themselves. $99 for an oil change and car wash. Well due to this experience I will have a hard time ever going back to this location and will not ever recommend anyone else to either. I am willing to accept there is a different standard of service between a place like this and a dealership but I have a hard time accepting being flat out lied to. Yes I did decline the upgrade services they recommended with the transmission flush and coolant flush mostly because I don’t believe they were ever really checked during my visit. I was told my transmission has a seal leaking and that I should think about getting the trans flush done. Wouldn’t I need to get the trans seal repaired before spending money on a flush? Good luck making money off of unsuspecting people that may not know any better but sooner or later those people will figure out they are being ripped off too. Sadly the actions of a few will ruin it for many. If I could give a zero star rating I would.

What Services Do You Get in a Touchless Car Wash?

Touchless car wash, also known as touch-free car wash, is a type of car wash service that utilizes high-pressure water jets and special cleaning agents to clean and wash vehicles without the need for physical contact. This method is designed to be gentle on the vehicle’s paintwork while still effectively removing dirt, grime, and other contaminants. Here are some of the services that are typically included in a touchless car wash:

  • Pre-soak: This is the initial stage where a specialized cleaning solution is applied to the entire vehicle. This solution helps loosen and break down dirt and grime, preparing the surface for the subsequent high-pressure wash.
  • High-pressure wash: In this step, powerful water jets are used to spray the vehicle with high-pressure water from different angles. The water is often heated and combined with a detergent or cleaning agent to effectively remove contaminants and stubborn dirt.
  • Rinse: Once the vehicle has been thoroughly washed, it goes through a rinsing stage where clean water is sprayed onto the surface to remove any remaining residue from the cleaning agents.
  • Drying: After rinsing, a combination of air blowers and specialized drying systems is used to remove excess water from the vehicle’s surface. This helps prevent water spotting and ensures a clean, streak-free finish.
  • Additional services: Depending on the car wash facility, there may be additional services available such as undercarriage wash, wheel cleaning, tire shine, and interior cleaning. These services can further enhance the overall cleaning and appearance of the vehicle.

Overall, touchless car wash services provide an efficient and effective way to clean vehicles without causing potential damage to the paintwork. By relying on high-pressure water jets and quality cleaning agents, touchless car washes can provide a thorough and convenient cleaning solution for car owners.

Great for a touchless car wash. I bring my vehicles here occasionally for a light cleaning. Does well washing most of the bugs off in the summer, and great for rinsing that nasty salt and dirt off in the winter.

The top of the vacuum hose was busted on the one we chose. We didn’t know it until after we put the money in. Because of that, we weren’t able to get in small spaces. Then we went through the drive-through car wash and it literally didn’t take any of the dirt off my car! There were little black specks all over the front of my car from the snow over the winter and when I took a paper towel to it to see if it was permanently on there, all that black dirt smeared off. Waste of $15. Actually I wasted $17 because I paid the extra $2 to ensure even the bugs would come off the front of my car and well…. How is it going to remove the bugs if it can’t even remove the dirt. Also, my mirrors were still terribly dirty. I do not recommend this car wash!

This is a touchless car wash and does an ok job of getting all the dirt off. For the most part, it does do a good job. The only problem is that sometimes the soap doesn’t all come off, and the blow dryers fail to dry your car completely.

Nice car wash, nicely lit and large bays. Very clean. A little steep on the price to start at $5 but that’s for 8 minutes and it was more than enough time for what I needed.

Cheaper than most drive throughs. Did a great job! Longer than usual drying time. 👍 There’s a $2 vacuum on the premises that did my entire SUV, including seats! I’ll go back!

Very disappointed in drive and shine. Recently purchased a new car not even a year old and recently just got the VIP membership to keep it clean during the summer. The third time that I get my car washed I now have specs of my paint chipped off the exterior of my vehicle on the hood of my car on the top of my car, and on the side of my car that I know, for a fact was not on my new vehicle.

I go to drive and shine quite often, and I get mixed feelings from them. Sometimes they’re right, professional and kind and courteous. Other times they act like they don’t want to be there so they just do whatever to get the job done and don’t take care and pride in the work

How to Protect Your Car’s Paint After a Car Wash

Keeping your car clean is important for both its appearance and its value. But even after you get your car washed, it’s important to take steps to protect the paint job. Here are some tips on how to protect your car’s paint after a car wash:

  • Wax your car regularly. Waxing your car creates a protective barrier that helps to repel dirt, grime, and other contaminants. This will help to keep your car’s paint looking its best for longer.
  • Use a microfiber cloth to dry your car. Microfiber cloths are soft and won’t scratch your car’s paint.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals on your car. Harsh chemicals can strip away the wax and sealant from your car’s paint, leaving it vulnerable to damage.
  • Inspect your car after every car wash. Inspect your car for any damage, such as scratches or swirl marks. If you see any damage, report it to the car wash immediately.

Here are some additional tips to protect your car’s paint after a car wash:

  • Avoid washing your car in direct sunlight. The sun can dry the water on your car’s paint too quickly, which can cause water spots.
  • Don’t over-wash your car. Washing your car too often can strip away the wax and sealant, leaving it vulnerable to damage.
  • Park your car in the shade. Parking your car in the shade will help to protect its paint from the sun’s harmful rays.

Here are some additional products that can help protect your car’s paint:

  • Paint sealant: Paint sealant is a clear coat that helps to protect your car’s paint from the elements.
  • Car wax: Car wax is a type of polish that helps to protect your car’s paint and give it a shine.
  • Waterless car wash: A waterless car wash is a type of car wash that uses a spray-on solution to clean your car without the need for water.

These products can help to protect your car’s paint from the elements and keep it looking its best for years to come.
