a month agoI’m a new member after my friend (who’s a Costco groupie) convinced me. Great items and sales. I purchased my bedroom area rug (7×9 $199) from there. I found a nice credenza for my office that I will purchase next for $599.4 months agoOne stop shop for Household products from toiletries to furniture literally everything in good quality and cheap price.. only thing is that every daily use product you get here is in large quantities…a week agoGas line backs up naturally because of good gas discount. However, attendant could do more to direct cars through. Saw couple of people on phones not pulling through to empty slots, two other people pulled through blocking both pumps.a week agoThe inventory is way more limited than the Frisco location and the staff will actually lecture you if you do a return…the guy told me to “be more careful next time” ???? I literally returned 1 item out of over a dozen things. And funny enough I didn’t see him lecturing the white customers…2 months agoMy trip to Costco was an enjoyable experience. The store was well-organized and easy to navigate. The staff members were friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had.The selection of products was impressive, with plenty of options at reasonable prices. I was able to find everything I needed from groceries to household items and even electronics.
One of the highlights of the trip was the food court, with delicious pizza at unbeatable prices. The samples offered throughout the store were also a nice touch, allowing me to try new products.
Overall, visiting Costco was a great experience, and I will definitely be returning to take advantage of their wide selection and great value.
Costco in Plano TX: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know
Shopping at Costco can be a great way to save money and stock up on household items. However, it’s important to keep in mind a few key rules and guidelines to make the most out of your shopping experience:
- Membership: Costco operates on a membership-only basis, so make sure you have a valid membership card before entering the store or making purchases online.
- Shopping Hours: Check the store’s opening and closing hours, as they may vary from location to location. Some Costco stores also have special hours for their executive members.
- Bulk Purchases: Costco is known for selling items in bulk, so be prepared to buy larger quantities than you might find at other retailers. It’s essential to assess your needs and storage capacity before making bulk purchases.
- Price Comparisons: While Costco offers competitive prices, it’s wise to compare prices with other retailers, particularly for non-bulk items. Sometimes, you may find better deals elsewhere.
- Product Quality: Costco is known for offering high-quality products, but it’s still a good idea to check the ingredients, expiration dates, and country of origin when purchasing food items or other perishables.
- Non-Membership Purchases: In some states, you can purchase prescriptions, alcohol, and select household items without a Costco membership. However, non-members usually pay a slightly higher price.
- Sample Policy: Costco is famous for its free product samples. However, it’s important to be courteous and limit yourself to one sample per person.
- Returns: Costco has a generous return policy, allowing you to return most items with or without a receipt. Keep in mind that electronics and appliances may have a stricter return policy.
- Cash or Cards: Costco accepts cash, debit cards, and most major credit cards as forms of payment. However, they do not accept personal checks or EBT cards.
- Bring Your Own Bags: Costco does not provide free bags, so bringing your own reusable bags or purchasing them at the store is recommended.
By following these rules and guidelines, you can make the most out of your shopping experience at Costco and take advantage of the savings and benefits it offers.

Fresh stock, best deals, friendly customer service and the cheaper gas prices are the highlights. They’ve recently added tire service which was just one thing I was waiting for. One place to find everything. They carry all types of rice (compared with other Costcos), Rotis, Tortillas.
Worst experience I have ever had getting a tire replaced under warranty. I will never purchase tires here again and have decided not to renew my membership. We visited 2 Costco’s, 1 near where we were when we picked up a nail then at the one we purchased the tires from. The 1st place had the rudest people in the tire shop I have ever experienced. The Plano location was a lot better and the techs were a lot more cordial but still took 2 trips and waiting 6 hours total to get tires replaced and installed.
God help you if you are a walk in without an appt.
My wife had to drive for 4 days with nails in the tire. That’s no way to care for your customers who have a real need not to mention the danger you put her in driving around like that. Bottom line, hire more people if you can’t service those who bother to shop with you. A little empathy from your employees can go a long way.
They won’t even answer the phone in the tire dept.
Think real hard before buying tires from Costco. They are not equipped to handle the business.
If you decide you’re interested in getting a Costco membership at this location, Lilo was an amazing help. She’s super sweet and will walk you through everything and answer any questions you have. She even told
me about an online membership deal I would have never known about unless she mentioned it!
Generally great place to shop but produce has been getting gradually worse. They should check their supply chain and storage methods. Of course you can return them, but spoiled produce became too common for returns to be a solution. You usually cannot tell from outside the packaging either.
I recently purchased a gas hog but wonderful riding Ford Expedition. After paying over 100.00 to fill up my tank I decided I needed to get a Costco card. I am glad I did. Now it is costing me about 85.00 to fill it up. I am saving aprox 15.00 every 10 days. This job is expected to last 8 mo 45.00 per mo x 8 = 360. saved in gas. Do your math. The 60. card will save itself in gas alone. You may have to wait a few min to pump your gas if you go the last hour of the day. Wait on weekends too. Ck your prices (take pics if needed). Be smart when buying. Try to use a card that pays 1% back on purchases. Then pay it off fully.
