What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I adopted both my cats from there. The wait was long but it was worth it. The ppl at BARCS truly care for all their animals. There was a fee associated with the adoption but it was for the spay/nurture for both cats. They were kittens when I adopted them and are cats now. I love my babies. BARCS is doing great things for the community. 💕

  2. I got my pitbull there about 3 years ago. They were very nice quick and efficient staff. All of her medical and behavior issues were disclosed before the adoption she had puppies recently before being found a stray and had to stay in the medical wing for a month before she was adoptable. I couldn’t have found a better match for my life than her. My family members have also adopted numerous dogs here throughout their life and have always been pleased with their kind staff. Place is always clean and well maintained you can tell they really love the dogs.

  3. BARCS is AWESOME, they have help me so much with my community cats! They have literally never turned me away when I needed help with one of my colony cats. I have showed up 10 minutes before closing with sick, 1 day old kittens and they sprung into action and got them into an incubator and stabilized. They also helped a colony cat of mine with a horrible abscess on his ear and neutered him at the same time. They really do so much for the community, the staff is amazing, but please be kind to them. Their job is a thankless one and they get overwhelmed and have feelings too plus they go above and beyond time after time. I try my very best not to show up near or after closing unless it’s an actual emergency. Oh and their vets are great! I truly recommend BARCS for anyone taking care of community cats or colonies, renting humane traps, trading stuck out injured cats, kittens and dogs, surrendering animals and escape fur adopting! BARCS has also started doing long term fostering for people who have been evicted or are moving out, going to jail for a few months or rehab, they really are a great shelter and community resource. Here’s pictures of one of my colony cats, they fixed his ear up and neutered him for me. He’s now healed, healthy and happy! Thank u BARCS 💞

  4. My boyfriend and I were interested in adopting a cat named big boi and fell totally in love with him. We went back and forth with the staff regarding his medical problems because of him being an owner surrender. The staff told us it was nothing to worry about and that he would be fine once he found his forever home. We went back on Sunday to see him one more time before his neuter surgery and he not only had a cold and was taking antibiotics but the kennel log did not match his medical records given to us. The staff was not all on the same page and even one of the vet techs came outside and didn’t spell his name correctly in the system and told us there was nothing wrong with him at all. The staff had awful customer service towards us and was very rude. Half of them brushed off his health conditions and wouldn’t give us the whole story on what came with taking care of him as they didn’t really know either. I will say if you decide to adopt a cat ask for April in matchmaking because she was great and very honest and upfront with us about everything. I made multiple attempts to figure out what was really going on with him but the whole time felt rushed out and that there was no communication. All they want to do is get animals out and don’t even ask questions like where you live or ask to see the house to make sure the animal is going into a safe home. I don’t understand how there’s so many positive reviews about this place.

  5. BARCS is incredible. They are truly saving lives every single day. I am a corporate volunteer and have adopted two Huskies from BARCS within the last month. The volunteers and staff are the best; they truly love the animals like their own. The adoption process is terrific. I could go on! My Huskies are the kindest, most wonderful souls! I love volunteering at BARCS and am so grateful for my furbabies!

We just had our senior dogs groomed here and Angel did a great job. Our old pups aren’t exactly fans of grooming so finding someone who can put up with them can be a challenge. They are 11 and 12- a little grumpy sometimes but Angel worked her magic and they look adorable 🥰. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a new groomer for your own pups!

The pet groomers are great here. Also there schedule isn’t very busy. They did a wonder job on Gizmo with his special teddy bear hair cut. The girls were excited to do such a cute hair cut

Just went to get my dogs nails trimmed because I’m too scared to trim them myself. It was my first time using petsmart as a groomer since I usually go to professional groomers for my dog, but they were fully booked and I was desperate so I just went to petsmart. I did a walk-in without an appointment and they took him in right away (I did need his rabies vax records, makes total sense but make sure you have those handy!) and he was in and out in about 15 minutes! They took such great care of him and the groomers were so sweet and nice. I’ll definitely go back again! I wish I got the names of all the ladies who were grooming, they were the sweetest!

I like our local Towson PetSmart. I order products online, then pick them up at the store. By ordering online, I am able to save quite a bit of $$$ on Cat Litter for our 4 cats. I am always able to find someone to help me if I need to locate a product in the store or to load my 40 lb. boxes of litter to my car. I also appreciate that they have Cat Adoption Centers right on site. Adopt, Don’t Shop for your next Purrever Friend.

I dont come here often because I often find them overpriced, but I heard they were have a sale on a few things a needed so I figured I’d stop in. Yes they were, on 5 of the items I needed. However, due to being in a rush and trying to learn the new process for doing dog tags. It’s been over 10 years since I last had to do one. I wasn’t paying attention to the price of items as they were being rung, and checked my receipt when I got home to see only 1 out of the 5 items was actually discounted. None of the employees actually looked happy to be there (I get it, it’s work, and isn’t always fun.) But I never saw not a single one smile, even at a customer.

If you are looking to adopt a new furry friend look no further than the Maryland SPCA on Falls road. Everyone (intake specialist, volunteers, adoption counselors) were very friendly and knowledgeable. Also if you don’t have a lot of time to go to and from the actual location their website allows you to browse through all the available pets, set up a little account, save favorites, and submit your application. It was very easy to use and navigate. I bought Monday home earlier this week.

My elderly cat passed away. I contacted for cremation. They were friendly and caring during the entire process. Super thankful for Ian and all of his hard work. I will definitely be back. ❤️ Please donate if you can!

Literally so sweet. MashaAllah. Got my 2 female kitties spayed. They gave post op instructions and my girls were in little to no pain through the whole of the recovery period. I thought one of my kittens had agitated the cite of the suture, called them and they told me to email them a picture. They replied with a response AND a diy video on how to make an E- collar. Save the heroes that don’t wear capes at all costs!Allahu Akbar
