  1. Josh was very friendly, professional, and informative. The cost was less than I had assumed and they replaced our 20 year (yes I said 20!) year old water heater that was due to croak at any moment. We signed up for the monthly plumbing membership because we liked him so much. Very good experience! And apparently they do remodeling which we have been wanting to have done. Thanks Josh!

  2. Furnace Replacement.
    I had a 27 year old furnace that finally gave out. John Henry was quick to come out, diagnose the problem and propose a repair/replace solution. I chose the replace option. They added my payment for the service visit to the replacement cost. The were not only on time for both visits, but were early both times. They were courteous and clean. They worked very quickly and stayed on task. I would definitely recommend Justin R and Hunter S at John Henry.

  3. Our heating system just didn’t seem to be able to keep up in certain rooms. I called John Henry right at the end of business on Tuesday and they had a technician here Thursday. It wasn’t that cold out so we were just fine waiting for a tech to come to our home. I thought the turnaround time from when I called to when the technician could come was extremely fast. The technician was very polite, offering to put on shoe covers to which I said we have 3 dogs, there’s no need for that this house is lived in. He checked everything in every room and provided advice on having the ducts serviced. The cost was very reasonable. We are pleased with the professionalism and quality of work our service technician Zach K. provided. We will definitely be repeat customers in the future for all of our heating, plumbing, and ac needs!

  4. I had new furnace and central air installed. Justin and Tony did an awesome job. Very polite and professional. They did a great job keeping things clean. They asked me for my input on on routing the new exhaust and intake line going to outside of house. It was all a great experience with these 2 guys. I would for sure recommend these guy’ s for any work you need done.

    My household went 3 days without water. While the company claims are 24 hour service, it took 2 days for anyone to contact me and examine my issue. It took another 2 trips and another day to figure out how to handle a shower handle repair with a simple cartridge that needing replacing. Nice repair people, but not great service.

    We bought a new gas stove and could not for the life of us get the cap off of our line to install it. I attempted to contact three different plumbing services, and Roto-Rooter got back to me within twenty minutes. The technician, Mason, came out the next day and helped us out – even bringing up some points we hadn’t considered, like the length of our flex line. Everything was explained, tested, and installed within about an hour. We’ll definitely be returning as customers if necessary!

    We had a huge water leakage coming from the kitchen ceiling. Mason came by that afternoon and helped figure out that the problem was the refrigerator, not the pipe. He He suggested where to contact and didn’t charge anything. I appreciate it so very much!!

    I had Action plumbing come out on 02/09/2023 to replace the water heater that had stopped working. I mentioned that the flue pipe failed previous inspection so it would need to be brought up to code. The city inspector came out on 02/14/2023 and failed the inspection because the flue pipe was too close to a wall. I reached out to Action, and Ken, who handles scheduling and all phone calls for water heaters, personally came out to look at it. It was a cordial conversation, him stating he would help out with some of the cost since his plumber should have asked before not moving the flue. During that conversation, he estimated that it would be roughly another $250 between parts and labor while at my house and said “obviously we will help with some of that”. He said he would have someone come out on 02/17. I informed him that was the only day that would not work for me, as I was leaving town that day. He said it was no problem and would call back the next week to get me on the schedule. I waited all next week and received no phone call to schedule the follow up. I called back on 02/27, as I still hadn’t heard. On 02/27, Ken informed me that the schedule had been set for the week, and that he would follow up on 03/03 (the following Monday to get me on the schedule). I did not hear on 03/03, so i followed up on 03/04. This time I mentioned that I was hesitant to pay the first bill, as I was having difficulties trying to get back on the schedule to come bring the flue pipe up to code. Ken proceeded to call back and proceeded to yell at me that I need to pay my bill and that he’s “not the one who screwed you over, the seller of the home screwed you over”, and that him bringing the water heater up to code was being done as a favor to me. This was incredibly disheartening, as I never once asked for any special treatment, or made any sort of demand as far as pricing goes, simply wanted the job done so I could move on from that being a priority. They came back out 03/14 to fix the flue pipe. It passed city inspection on 03/17. I also got the updated bill on 03/17, which instead of the “roughly $250” that was estimated on 02/14, the bill is $325.30. I do see a discount on labor, only charging for 1.5 hours when the tech was here for roughly 3 hours, however, this is significantly more than was originally estimated. In the end, I could never recommend this company solely based off of Ken’s unprofessional actions. To call and yell at a customer and say it is their fault for not knowing the codes, and that them coming back out to do the job correctly is being done as a favor is uncalled for and rude. That said, the tech who came out was friendly and professional, it just seems the office staff is not.

    Trent and Lee arrived sooner than expected. They discovered the problem quickly and repaired it easily. They are very professional and considerate . They wore plastic covers on their work boots .They explained the work to be done and answered every question. I could not believe they did such great work in the Coldest day in Lincoln so far. I always recommend Action Plumbing for such great work , value and speed!!!

    We awoke to a cold hot water heater and I called Action due to a referral. I was called back quickly and was told they probably could not get there until the next morning. Well a few hours later I received a call say tech Jon was coming over. He was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He quoted a price and had the job finished with 45 minutes. When you have never needed a plumber before, Action was friendly and professional and quick…. I highly recommend them for anyone needing plumbing service.

    Found myself in a tough spot Friday evening Christmas weekend. Below 0 outside and my furnace goes out. I was unable to reach my furnace guy. Gave Action a try. I have a friend who works there. Eric showed up and got the heat going again. No complaints.

    The service itself was fine, but this review is in regards to unexpected charges. We were first time customers, and live outside of city limits. They advertise “Lincoln and surrounding areas,” but it would have been nice to know that we were being charged $95 additional because we live a few miles outside of town. We were not informed of this upon scheduling. This is on top of the $35 trip charge, which we were expecting. There was no communication about out of town charges. And they had to come out twice, so I can’t wait to get the second bill for another out of town charge. They should have been more upfront about this cost when we provided address and said we were a new customer upon scheduling. Highly upsetting and disappointing to find out this way. Definitely shopping around other places before we order our new unit.
